Why is it still present? I'm so glad shein is banned in India as it should be banned everywhere!! It is causing too much pollution! Its not about the products.... How come y’all only bringing awareness on shein? Shein isn’t the only company that does Nike and apple does cheap labor as wel
@@amiasimms4182 Because the makeup community is going to call out makeup related things??? Many people into makeup will call out things they know that are about makeup.
It being so cheap is an issue in itself. Guaranteed they’re not paying their employees properly.
Nicki this makes me so sad :( I am the owner of Splashes Lashes and SheGlam completely ripped off our brand :(
Oh, girl. I'm so sorry. They CLEARLY ripped you off.
dang i’m so sorry
Wow, they don't even bother to be discrete... I'm sorry. I hope that people who saw your comment will think twice before supporting sheglam.
I’m sorry about that. I thought Nikkie did very wrong with this one, i stopped following. She has money, doesnt need this.
@@Misfitbeclive im commenting and do i follow her no
I came to the comments curious and am so happy to see people not supporting this. Make up on a budget, yes. But brands like this don't make these products for people who can't afford makeup, they make products so the middle class can buy massive amounts of makeup they don't really need.
whats happening please?
most brands also support child labor if you buy something and it says “made in china” that means you are supporting child labor which is yes fucked up but there’s not really anything we can do about it it’s cheap
@@Loveelyyart i am confused too. Trying to understand what's happening
I don't understand how people don't realize that if it comes from china then it was produced in a sweat shop. That goes for everything from shein, amazon, nike, charlotte russe, A&E, walmart. At least shein isn't massively overcharging for their products
Nobody NEEDS makeup.
Honestly so dissatisfied to know you’ll support Shein when they do literal child labor and contaminate the world with the fast fashion ethics.
Wait.............. Do you think people don't like SheGlam / Shein because it's "affordable" ?!?!?! Ummm no. That's definitely not the reason at all LOL. ..... Oh boy
Maybe they should "donate" their money to the people working in their factories...

20:30 She went off camera and used products that actually worked, look how different her blush and contour look before and after
She’s dishonest
I had to go back and see your so observant ✌
thanks for pointing that out!
Yes omg i saw
this disappointed me. she is such an amazing UA-camr and she flat out lied to us. the placement and shade and everything changed, it's so obviously different. shein must pay her well. :(
No... no... NOOOO!!! I came to the highliter part and Nikki, the queen of highlither, just put on a highlighter that looked GRAY in some lighting and she said.. she said yaz? I´m honeslty about to cry what has SHEIN done to my queen??
I agree. When she started contouring it literally looked like dirt on her face.
@@maggie742 Contour and Bronzer are different. I can tell you for a fact that pale skin, like mine, the natural shadows on our skin is GREY and if you throw on only this Warm Bronzer, it looks extremely wacky and wrong. This is why you use Contour AND Bronzer, to balance the Natural Grey with some Warmth.
Knowing there's actual Contour with the same grey color my skin has for shadows is REALLY Nice, because that means i can be less awkwardly colored.
I think the "problem" is that she was a bit heavy handed with how much Contour she used, that's all, but, with everything together, it looks natural, but a bit dramatic. So.
That was the most welcoming intro ever

"You're getting glam and helping the world a bit" you're helping the world more by not buying sheglam... if the argument is affordable beauty, there are hidden gem brands and sales and such out there that are much better
Did not expect a high influencer to be promoting a brand that is very fast fashion and unethical.
I’ve done some research and I really believe they just have a lot of money to give influencers. People like Doja Cat, Katy Perry, Lil Nas X even participated to their so called "charity event" that probably doesn’t even contribute to any positive actions for the planet… But I have to agree, I am a bit disappointed too
@@ambruhgn2955 for sure, that makes sense, as Nikki seems almost TOO positive about this review. I know she’s stated she would never lie on camera but I guess she fell victim to a brand buying her out. Either way, the morals have been crossed.

She probably got more for this video than most of the shein workers will make in several YEARS. So disappointed :/
Tho I love to see everyone in the comments calling it out
Nikki, I know Sheglam is promoting a charitable cause here, but supporting a brand that's on Shein isn't helping - the cheapest of fast fashion helps no one, poor quality clothes that aren't designed to last beyond 5 wears; made most likely with exploited or slave labour... I would love to see you take on more considered sponsorships that guide your younger audience, rather than just riding the wave they create. Love the final look, it's amazing what you can do. True artiste.
Well said 👍
👏 Not to mention the "charitable cause" is really just a tax write-off for Shein...
Ok, so is wrong to buy clothes from SHEIN but buying makeup from them once it's hidden under the brand SHEGLAM is okay. This society is crazy
What i have always thought!!
This
Why is that? I mean, I havent ever bought anything from none of these brands (yet) but i’d like to know what’s wrong with Shein.

I know a lot of people are saying she wasn't being honest and all that. But what stuck out to me the most was that she didn't even include if it was "payed by herself", "promoted" or "PR" etc, which she normally does? (Unless I missed that part)
It's also weird she only said about ONE thing (I think) that it "didn't have a smell". I just KNOW that gloss she used has a mega smell of paint... and probably more smell really weird
Edit: Wait... was there NO intro?? What..
And she looked to the side a lot to make sure that she said what was written down there for her...
honestly disappointed in nikkie. we all know about shein and everything like child labor, pollution & more. really seems like she was payed a lot for this. she kept looking to the side like there was a script or guideline to what she “should” be saying. the makeup turned out great though.
I noticed that too and just wanted to comment it. It was really obvious that she had a script

There is nothing to be "open minded" here... No hate to Nikki I really love her videos but, promoting a brand that produces soo much pollution, under pays their staff, hire children and force them to overtime, I don't think we should consider this brand only! Why is it still present? I'm so glad shein is banned in India as it should be banned everywhere!! It is causing too much pollution! Its not about the products.... Its about how much the brand is affecting this planet... $50,000 dollars will not undo the damage shein has already done and will be doing. Kinda disappointed here, didn't execpt this from Nikki.
Did you change your blush while you did your second eye? It looks totally different. Xx

THERE IS TONS OF AFFORDABLE BRANDS OUT THERE, pls do not buy from shein, they're such an unethical brand
This is dissapointing. Shein is not just catastrophic for the environment but also has horrifically unethical working conditions. Their products are only cheap because the purchaser isn't the one paying the price for it.

Shein is VERY sketchy for their makeup companies, but it is somehow proven safe for the skin. And it’s actually very beautiful on the skin!
