It'd be cool if the last scene of the finale would've been Lois & Clark talking he'd confess his feelings to her and she'd ask why he stood her up and he'd tell her he was scared of getting hurt again like Lana did to him and she'd say "please don't give up your chances of being with me due to Lana's mistakes" then kiss him and he'd say "Lana who?"
