Small Favors is seriously an incredible book for a YA. It’s one of my favorites and I’ve kept it on my shelf to actually re-read eventually. It’s so well done😊
Small Favors is EXCELLENT! It's like Little House on the Prairie if it was inside a cultish fever dream. It's slow to get started but once you do start it you won't be able to put it down because the atmosphere is that good. Highly recommend you keep that one I genuinely think you'd like it
Pleaseeee keep small favors! I LOVED it, and its the perfect book to read in august! This is from someone whose been done with YA for like two or three years now, but I'll always go back for Cassie and Erin A Craig!
Small Favors is excellent! My favorite Erin Craig book by far. Perfect fall vibe, think The Village (2004) but with honey in it, lol. Also loved how ambiguous certain aspects of the story ended up being and the ending. Keep it. ;)
6 of 33 books I show in this video are BOTM lol. I truly love them, and 33% of my shelves are their books at this point so proportionally some books will show up in book unhauls every once in awhile. Unfortunately, I have to get rid of books I enjoyed to clear up space for new books to read and review
I had to end my subscription to BOTM a few years back because there were so many books I picked with the intention of reading but then never read because they ultimately weren’t that exciting to me. I did love a few but many didn’t seem that cool.
Lol this comment is funny but I also don’t think it’s BOTM’s fault. I mean Reagan has read a lot of them so it’s not like she’s just blindly getting rid of them. Eventually you just need to pass along some books to make room for more you know? Inevitably some are gonna be BOTM. I definitely don’t want any booktubers to feel ashamed or like they need to hide their unhauls.
Small Favors is excellent! The first 100 pages feel a little slow because their setting up SO MUCH. I absolutely adored it and would tell anyone to read it! 🐝
I just finished Small Favors minutes ago and I think it's worth the read. It was far better than House of Salt and Sorrows. I admit that it's chunky at 466 pages but I binged it. Then started getting worried that there wasn't enough pages as things were coming to an end. Small town vibes, religious connotations, mystery, dark fantasy, romance sub plot, etc.
I really enjoyed this book. I like historical fiction and if someone incorporates it in a way that you learn a lot (they don't change the real history too much) it's really cool. This book not only had the story of the Huntress, but also the incorporation of the female Russian pilot and her backstory, so both were really cool. I also liked the Once and Future Witches-it also had some historical fiction aspect to it, but with the fantasy spin, and the sister's relationships were good and complex.
Your willpower to unhaul is AmaZing! Every time I attempt an unhaul it’s like finding long lost Christmas gifts. I will say that WWII circus book sounds intriguing. ❤ WWII stories.
I agree! It is such a great book! I honestly love anything that is written by Kate Quinn. But as someone who names herself as a historical fiction reader first and foremost, I have to say that I would be sad if I had missed out on this book, as well as the other books adjacent to this "world": The Alice Network; The Rose Code; The Diamond Eye. These other books are not required, just happening at the same time and some characters overlap in slight, interesting ways.
Keep small favors! May be young adult but packs a punch. Unhaul Vespertine, was ok, but not great. Once and future witches - I have not read but some of my favorite book tubers LOVE it, so on my TBR
LOVE once and future witches. Love ten thousand doors of January even more. I think you'd love both of them. The historical fantasy aspect of Witches is great.
I'm reading Small Favors right now. Im not really a YA reader but this one is really good. It has a lot of drama and spooky occurrences. It does drag a bit near the end but still very enjoyable!
Great unhaul, Regan 💖 I believe Small Favors is a Rumpelstiltskin retelling. I have that on my kindle but haven’t read it yet. I also own another book by her that I own physically, House of Salt and Sorrow which is a 12 dancing princesses retelling. I’m excited to see how I like her writing.
Keep The Huntress!!!!!!!! Nina is an incredible character. Kate Quinn is a fantastic historical fiction writer and The Alice Network is amazing too (women who infiltrated networks and were spies during WII based on real events)
The Once and Future Witches is one of my favourite books! I’d probably recommend Ten Thousand Doors of January if you haven’t read any of her books before. Think Narnia but for adults with Erin Morgenstern vibes 💜
The Once and Future Witches was one of my favorite books I read in 2022. I adored the writing, the sister dynamics, the folklore woven throughout & the topics discussed in the novel. It definitely can be slow at points though.
Small Favors was soo good! One of my favorites last year! 💛☺️ Edit to add- I think it’s a great read for end of summer or esp fall.. I read it outside in the evenings at the dog park and I think it added to the experience 😊 I hope you get to enjoy it if you decide to keep it 💖
Dry is one of my all time favorite books. Even though it's five years since I read it, I still think about it often and I still recommend it to everybody who might just be the slightest bit interested in it.
I love Vespertine is one of my all time faves. And I am in the same place with Anna dressed in blood loool I had read kendare Blake's other works save that one
I'm also going to lobby for 'Once and Future Witches.' I loved it, BUT... I love 'The Ten Thousand Doors of January' by Alix E. Harrow even more. If you keep it, be ready for the purple prose. I'm usually not a fan, but Harrow is a bonafide wordsmith. I just love her.
If you need some convincing to keep a book, I'd recommend keeping Small Favors. The mystery really feels a little more grotesque and creepy than I would've expected from YA, and I really enjoyed it.
You need to keep "Once and future Witches" and read it this October! I'm really picky with my 5 star ratings but Alix E. Harrow always nails it. It's also beautifully written and totally up your alley. You have to read it. It's brilliant.
I wanted to read foul lady fortune but I realized it’s a continuation of her first duology which I dnf’d the second book at 42% I knew I was not going to ever get to. You should read Vespertine. I love it. It has an open ending which makes me hope for another book like sorcery of thorns. I think you would enjoy it.
When you mentioned the once and future witches, I just jumped out of my seat. I loved this book very much, please don't unhaul this book. At least give it a try 😀
Oh my god the Anne bishop thing happened to me with the author Tanith Lee. I enjoyed her middle grade books as a kid and did not check the triggers on her adult books before I picked them up😑 regretted that when I realized how dark her adult books could get
I vote for keeping Small Favors, Once and Future Witches, and Daughter of Redwinter just cause they're still on my TBR too lolol so I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts either before I read it for some opinions or after I read it to see if we had similar opinions.
You have to KEEP "Small Favors", you have to! This is the perfect fall read, it has amazing spooky season vibes. I read it during the summer and I regret not reading it during the fall. I think you will click with it, but if you are still hesitant, at least give it a try. You can always DNF it. :)
I’ve read all of Ruta Sepetys and Fountains of Silence is her best book by far! You have to read it still. I’ve also read every book by Alix Harrow and Once and Future Witches is her weakest book, so you’re not missing anything there.
I've seen a few booktubers pick books they wanted to unhaul but weren't sure about do a try a chapter to see if they wanted to keep them or not. I know that's not quite your reading style, but it might be fun!
I totally agree on The Fountains of Silence - that was my least favorite Ruta Sepetys book. Good for you getting rid of books you still love, I have a really hard time with that!!
Vespertine was fantastic! Without giving away too much, knowing that you like mysterious, angst stories AND stories that involve gods or god-like beings. I think you’ll like it.
I was also so disappointed by the Queen of Nothing that I unhauled my Folk of the Air books. It went from being on of my favorite YA series to something I wouldn't ever want to reread, knowing how it ends :/
I haven't read The Huntress but I will reiterate what others are saying about Kate Quinn. She's incredible. The Alice Network is one of the single best books I've ever read. Vespertine was great! I haven't read her other books so I can't say for sure how close it is to Sorcery of Thorns, but I loved the characters and the atmosphere. Perfect October read.
So proud of you Regan and well done so important to give away and donate books you don’t need anymore or read and you are amazing xoxo 😘 🏝️💛🌞🌞💛🏝️🩵🩵📚📚📖📖📚📙📙🩵💛🌞💛🏝️💛🌞🌞🌞🏝️🌞📖📖📖📖📚📙📙🩵🌞💛🏝️🩵🏝️💛📙📚📚📚🏝️💛🌞🌞🌞🩵🏝️💛🌞💛🏝️
Always remember, if you do want to read them later, the library is there!
the Seokjin bookmark 😂
The Jin bookmark made my day. I love finding people with BTS things
The Once and Future Witches is soooo good! The relationship between the sisters is worth the read alone. I highly recommend it, great for fall.
Small Favors is seriously an incredible book for a YA. It’s one of my favorites and I’ve kept it on my shelf to actually re-read eventually. It’s so well done😊
Once and Future Witches and The Huntress are both fantastic books. Kate Quinn is my favorite WWI/WWII historical fiction author.
Small Favors is EXCELLENT! It's like Little House on the Prairie if it was inside a cultish fever dream. It's slow to get started but once you do start it you won't be able to put it down because the atmosphere is that good. Highly recommend you keep that one I genuinely think you'd like it
Small favors was good! Keep it! Mysterious, suspenseful, a little creepy, a little dark. It was a good ride.
Pleaseeee keep small favors! I LOVED it, and its the perfect book to read in august! This is from someone whose been done with YA for like two or three years now, but I'll always go back for Cassie and Erin A Craig!
Small Favors is like “The Village” movie… enjoyed reading it in September moving into fall.
Small Favors is excellent! My favorite Erin Craig book by far. Perfect fall vibe, think The Village (2004) but with honey in it, lol. Also loved how ambiguous certain aspects of the story ended up being and the ending. Keep it. ;)
STOP I absolutely adored Vespertine! I’d love to see you read it!
its never a book unhaul without half of them being botm lmao
6 of 33 books I show in this video are BOTM lol. I truly love them, and 33% of my shelves are their books at this point so proportionally some books will show up in book unhauls every once in awhile. @@PeruseProjectsay you don’t want to lose your botm sponsorship money without saying you don’t want to lose your botm sponsorship money lol
The Once and Future Witches was my favorite book I read last year!! I would say try it!
i love Anne Bishop. the first trilogy is very very dark but i fell in love with the characters and now im 12 books in (with multiple rereads)
Getting rid of 2 Chain of thorns probably made so much space in itself 😂😂
Omg, please keep Small Favors! It's so good!
Small Favors is excellent! The first 100 pages feel a little slow because their setting up SO MUCH. I absolutely adored it and would tell anyone to read it! 🐝

I did not like sorcery of thorns but I loved vespertine. You should give it a chance 😊
Absolutely loved The Once and Future Witches I'd definitely give it a try!
I live in the coast and as much as I love it, I’m also amazed at the Great Lakes.
"Once and future witches" is one of the best books I have read this year ..
Read it last year. So good!
Yes!! So good, Reagan needs to read it 😊
@@linneahallman4451 I agree 🤗🤗
@@Eoroiocoa it's amazing 😍
Thursday murder club gets even better as you go through the series! The 3rd is my fave!
Keep The Huntress by Kate Quinn!! All of her books are so, so good!

Once and future witches are really reaaly good. It almost reads like historical fiction based on salem witch hunt. I think you are going to love it.
Small Favours is so good and spooky 👻 and Daughter of Redwinter was also really great ✨ The Circus Train as well was so beautiful 🎪🚂🎪
Your willpower to unhaul is AmaZing! Every time I attempt an unhaul it’s like finding long lost Christmas gifts. I will say that WWII circus book sounds intriguing. ❤ WWII stories.
Definitely keep the once and future witches. It was unique and so good. Also a standalone which makes for a nice change
Regan posting 🤝 Brunch Time 🤝 Cozy Vibes
Keep The Huntress. My favorite character was Nina and I found out about the Night Witches. They were BADASS!
The Huntress is fabulous. And I’m picky. 😂
Not the Fountain of Silence I love that book. It’s sooo good.
The huntress is so good!!!!!😊

Yes please keep this book!!! It’s so good, one of met favourites of 2022 as well.
I really enjoyed small favors! Very creepy and atmospheric but it has a romance plot as well. I recommend reading it (it’s a fast read, too!)

The Huntress is fabulous! It is a keeper.
Keep Small Favors! It's so creepy and atmospheric and perfect for fall.
Someone will be so psyched to get these popular books!
Vespertine was so good! I will admit that it's not quite as good as An Enchantment of Ravens, but I did have a great time reading it.
The Huntress was so good!!! I read it for a book club, going into it thinking I wouldn’t like it but it changed my mind! You should too :)
Once and future witches was so good!!!
The Huntress made Kate Quinn an autobuy author for me. It is really well done.
Dry is one of my all time favorite books. Even though it's five years since I read it, I still think about it often and I still recommend it to everybody who might just be the slightest bit interested in it.
Keep Fountains of Silence!!! Of the 4 Ruta Sepytys I've read it's definitely the strongest!
You should read Dry! I read it years ago, and I still think about it all the time.
I loved dry, the audio book is good. So you can check it out when you are puzzling
Vespertine is excellent! The best so far by the author.
I love Vespertine is one of my all time faves. And I am in the same place with Anna dressed in blood loool I had read kendare Blake's other works save that one

everyone is def convincing me lol
lol when my shelves get full my solution is to get more shelves! I only unhaul books I didn't like or I'm not interested in them anymore
I hope to one day get more shelves!!! right now this is all I can fit D:

I love the series and so far the first Thursday book is still best so probably a good choice. Love the audiobook format for them
Came here to save Small Favors. Y’all are my people.
5 survive was sooo much fun. It reads so fast I finished it in one sitting. My advice would be read it and then put it on your unhaul
The Huntress is so good!
Vespertine was fantastic! Without giving away too much, knowing that you like mysterious, angst stories AND stories that involve gods or god-like beings. I think you’ll like it.
