Melvin has done so many interviews, and I've watched them all... Now for him to finally sit down and give his life story to KMV.... Damn! It's like hearing it for the first time! What an amazing story.. Preciate all the hard work Kev✊🏽
u aint lying i love this nigga soooo much, im gonna have melly mel introduce him too me sometime soon and im a meet u kev mac the west coast general of this info shit, love u kidd from east coast love from delaware newark\wilmington stand the fucc up... Compton where u at baby
Man this is a good video how can anybody complain about a $3 dollars membership a month you can't buy nothing for 3 dollar's,he is trying up all the loose ends he has a great memory
Subscribing to the Homie is well worth it Man. I'm for my People to strive, and If we all can spend our ends with other ethnicities, then we all can DEFINITELY spend with ours. I support Kev 150%,and in the future I will be purchasing the annual fee. Right I'm at the $4.99 a month, but not for long.
He's doing a excellent job of taking us to that time, that's because the questions SMac is asking him. Smac was definitely in his bag...Smac ability to recall past information from other interviews on the spot and ask the questions for the answers to the missing pieces is crucial to getting the history.✊🏾💪🏾👏🏾👍🏾
Thanks for the picture of him. To many looking at him he may appear just an old man.. though I'm sure everyone respects him. But the old pics allow us to visualize who these ppl were in the stories they tell. And from this pic we can tell he was a serious gentleman. You can't fake those eyes. They no longer have the innocence of children in them.
Good cliffhanger, I like how he put hustling in context relative to status symbols of a particular era, and how he emphasized that it was teenagers that set it off in the beginning
I dabbled with you all Melvin and was a member too, stayed on 73rd and Western. Did several stints in juvenile, but after turning 18, I pulled out of gangs after being in the big jail 4 days for something that could have got me sentenced for a long time (an assault) prayed to God on the 4th day and then was released. I knew God was real after that experience. I then joined the military (Navy), worked while attending community College, finished education, and later came back as a Military Chaplain, and a Pastor. I wish I had only known this knowledge back then, I would have shared it with you all. But still praying for all my brothers who are still around.
I remember on StreetTV the interview with Bacot and Racardo Sims. Bacot almost said it was the compton's in that interview but he caught himself and stopped. He said man it was the comp....I caught that back then
I had a key to the house when I was 7 years old. I lost my key one time and my pops told me that I better find it. I looked all over for it and pops asked me did I find my key and I said no and he kicked me right in the ass and it came to my mind instantly where my key was. That's knocking the sense into someone.
i lost my key about 30 imes at least and got into all kinds of BS over it. my pops is an expert at changing locks because of how many times i lost that MF
on some other platform melvin gave a very detailed rundown on what happened to douglas green, but i can't remember where that was. does anybody remember?
Extremely prescise on everything he says remembers..no writing dodgy numbers down with this man..straight up photography memory..not even a throwaway phone
My God...finally somebody mentioned my Horace Mann classmate Gary Dancy. Gary was a dark complexioned 8th/9th grade Brother. He probably would have grown to be kind of stout...athletic type, but also who had a more excit life with older people. Gary was the true kind of friend, before gangsterism blew up in 1969. He invited me to an "off campus paty" wheret he lived. We were all just young teens at Mann exploring life choices. These were just the clique days. innocence was draining fast.. By 1970: ."Danger, danger Will Robinson." RIP Gary Thank you Host and Guest, SCLA Grad 73' USC WHS
i get exactly what melvin is saying about the leather coats. they were actually taking avirex leather coats when they were in vogue ca. 2000-2005, simply because they were a hot commodity. you'd better be somebody if you wore one of those. a leather coat is a pricey piece of clothing, it's almost like jewlery
It's a hood thing in every hood all over the US. It's a blessing kids don't really do that anymore maybe chains or Jordans If but clothes nope. It's not as prominent thing to do as it used to be
@@will_cashgrow2294 i never really could relate to taking jordans. i'm an adidas guy anyway LOL. but a good leather coat is 4 figures easy but yeah, you don't need avenue influence or crip influence or anything for taking leather coats, that's just human nature
@Austin Tx the crips probably took their money too. or do you think they just took the coat and left the wallet/money/drugs/jewlery whatever. i don't think so
It's hard to have a true top 5 with these interviews. But monster, cutes,ac,og Nugget and it's a tie with Melvin and Cynthia nunn but this channel can create a TV series that would change the game!!!! Oh and tookie wife hell they're all good stories..tpk funny AF btw
So the chain gang, brims, Denver lanes, Van Ness boys & Athens park didn't catch any Crips bodies n the early- mid 70s🤔? The info is good but seems one sided
The non crop gangs were continuations of the 60’s style “WW1” style gangbanging. By the time the WS Crips came out, they were WW2 modern age. Plus it wasn’t easy to catch the actual perpetrators .. unless you expect them to kill random people. The Crips were too United (to an extent), powerful and strategic (think the USA) Anti Crips were like the USSR. They learn and master this new age of gang banging and self genocide.
@@elijahdavis2496 I understand that.but The baby boomers be lying .saying that they was only fighting in the 70s ..instead of shooting and killing each other..I have did research that in the 70s crimes was just as high .as in the 80s

This interview was well worth the wait. A lot history here. KMV on top
I've watched Melvin Farmer on many different platforms...not once have I ever seen him smile like he did while mentioning the Maxi leather jacket💯
they should bring back that maxi coat..MF's would be tripping if a MF jumps out in a maxi coat
Good cliffhanger, I like how he put hustling in context relative to status symbols of a particular era, and how he emphasized that it was teenagers that set it off in the beginning
He caught me off guard when he threw in ‘sniffing glue’ 🥴🤣
we should bring back sniffing glue. what type of glue gives the best high? sniffing glue/paint thinner/solvents etc. is a lost art.
in tookies book he tells about the sniffing glue. unfortunately a young criplette lost her life sniffing that shit, according to tookie.
Melvin interviews always 🔥
Love melvin farmer and cutes them dudes are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to this here life!! They time capsules!

Ronnie Walker (Athens Park) went to jail for killing Chocolate (East Side Crip) in 72’. AC Babalouie discussed it.

Why 83 didn't become rolling? or was rolling after the 60 & 83 beef?
Because they were satisfied with “Gangster Crip” - a single street claimed - 83rd street. This was before the beef.
