I love my '22 Supra. The M340 and Z4 just don't do it for me. They may share the same engine, but all three cars just have totally different feels imo. edit: I just heard his comment at the end of: "you're kidding yourself if you say I daily my Supra, and I love it". Speak for yourself. I really enjoy getting in my Supra every morning, and every afternoon when I leave work. I look for excuses to drive it even though I really don't need to go anywhere. I'm sitting here watching a video about the Supra because I feel like driving it right now but don't really feel like wasting gas for no reason. Understand that different people are at different stages in life. I have no kids, so I don't need a bunch of space, or a backseat for a carseat. I'm a single guy who's loved, and driven sports cars for much of my life (previously owned a '93 Rx7, then a '12 Genesis Coupe 3.8 R-Spec). I love dailying my Supra, and I'm not kidding myself😁
@@misterdragzon Sure. There are some things that could be better, but that doesn't mean I don't love every second of driving the Supra. Conversely, if I had a vehicle with more storage space, I'd miss the styling, handling, sound, and "smiles per hour" the Supra gives me. In other words, every vehicle has its gives and takes. The things the Supra does well, matter more to me than the things it doesn't do well.
@@kingmusa8618 That's awesome. I have nothing against any of the cars. They're all great, in their own way, from what I've heard/experienced. The Supra is simply the best fit for me.
@@Jason-mi5rj Ive done it for 4 years trouble free (besides in snow). Just got to do basic stuff like oil, tires and spark plugs. Valve cover leaked and replaced that myself at 75k, other than that its been great.
@@Jason-mi5rj the stock tires arent that great in rain when worn, you will hydroplane. Continental dws06 plus is a great stock power level daily tire. I have them on now making 420whp and its decent, itll spin tho if you floor it but in rain its great. Never tried driving in the snow.
I daily my 24" manual supra 30+ miles a week day for about 5 months now and i don't mind it at all, its one of the easiest manuals i ever driven, was able to drive it from the dealer after not driving a manual for 3 years since i been dallying my 2014 nissan GTR. Its a little more livable and less harsh on bumps too, the only gripe i have with the car is the factory tires that uses the old Michelin style... and the electric power steering, I still prefer hydraulic for more feel, but its not that bad in the supra. Maybe cause im not old and like the lifestyle? iuno I prefer performance over luxury.
The m340i is just a better car. It has BMW updated interior and tech while the supras is super dated. BMW looks alot cleaner too imo. But thats just subjective. All around package def goes to the m340i in this segment though.
hey hey hey not all are mild hybrid. Mine is a 2020 and I don't have that dredded purple cable under my hood. :D ALSO !!!! My my340i has staggered wheels. This is a bad comparison vehicle overall, lol you should have brought in a different M340i. Which one has the better sound system? pretend both have upgraded sound from factory, best you can buy. Which one sounds better?
Get an M240i rear while el drive and you will get 90% of the Supra experience, coilovers and wider set of wheels and tires will give you similar levels of grip and suspension performance.
@@sergiogarcia9822 I actually like M240i and I only didn’t choose it because I really wanted a manual as a fun car. If I was in the market for an automatic, I would have easily gone with the m240i.
You can get a Z4 M40i with a manual now. You best buy it or it’s a wrap for manuals in BMWs non-M lineup or potentially for BMW cars as a hold. You lot complain about no manual so there’s no excuses now.
Have owned an m340i and just recently drove a mk5 Supra, I love the Supra so much especially considering my DD is an m850i gran coupe. lol I love my 8 series but man is it a land yacht. Getting into the Supra felt like a toy car almost but man is it fun to drive. I love the b58 so much.
The Supra is just too expensive for what it is. I was recently considering a used one as a weekend fun car, but I preferred something with a manual and didn't want to spend that much. Ended up buying a S550 GT for half of what a Supra costs.
I had a 21 Supra and it was a good car but a but overhyped. If I was in the market for another two seater I'd rather go with a used 20'+ Z4 6cy. Newer tech and I like convertibles.
I daily drive my 21’ GR Supra and have since September 21’. A good comparison: ua-cam.com/video/_eUElCWl-Vg/v-deo.htmlsi=ilYfV46N_f0ccfbc Good price and quality comparison. By the way this was a good video. I don’t agree where the value of the Supra is concerned. I believe it does most things excellently as I have driven it up and down the east coast and the Midwest for Turbine jobs for the first 1.5 I had it. Plenty of room for my purposes.👍🏾

Okay but surely you love it *in spite* of the subpar practicality and not *because* of it

76k in my 2020 Supra daily driven :)
big respect
Is the Supra reliable to be daily driven? Have you had any issues with it? I’m thinking about buying one to drive to college

You should drive the two in these videos! It feels like the on-road comparison is missing, Love the channel btw
Can you drift and do burnouts in the Supra AT trans?, I really don’t wanna get a Manual. I party too much to work while I’m lit.

Trust me, drive it for a day whether it’s a 6MT or the AT. Most fun weekend car I have ever owned in the manual.

I had this for a week, Turo'd it. The poor visibility and the terrible steering killed it for me. It really did not match the hype for me

I’m wanting to go to a m8/850 or LC500 from a Supra as my next car. Is the weight noticeably apparent?
Supra bc its a coupe and toyota tuned it at least...but the 340i is sweet if you have awd.
