Way too cool! I used to live in that same apartment 34 years ago when I first came to New York City out of college. Back then the rent was $1,250 a month. I shared it with a girl I used to date in college that was a Penthouse Pet. LOL Geez, you brought back a lot of memories watching the video!

I love parquet flooring! It makes me think of New York! My 1956 house in Phoenix has parquet flooring in the living room, and I love it for that reason. Haha.

Ayyyy Brett! I'm in the UES in my own 1 bedroom apartment! :) I actually bought it 2 years ago, saved up all my money (lived with my parents until I was 29) and finally bought my own 1 bedroom apartment. It is honestly my favorite place in the world.

I was so surprised to see a real one bedroom apartment that size, love it then comes the let let down the kitchen it’s horrible, but if you only eat Ben & Jerry it’s perfect. Enjoyed the video.

The parquet floors are definitely a NYC thing. When I was a kid, my grandmother in Forest Hills had the same floors in her 50s era apartment building.

Great flat Brett! Here's the challenge. Let's see what color the white couch is a year from today. 😁 Lol. I couldn't get away with having such a light couch. Eventually myself or one of my friend's or family member's would spill something and the couch would no longer be that beautiful clean lovely shade of white. Your a brave man. oh damn bro thats a sweet pad... I felt like I was back in NYC... Back in 2008 before the GFC I was working in NYC and lived in that exact building. Soon as I seen that Balcony shot I was like OMG i woke up to that view every morning. your just down the road from some of the best indian food in NYC.. good cheap indian food. not a bad rate your getting. Qantas paid over $1,500 per month for that same building for a 1 bedroom back over 15yrs ago. Love your videos bro
I love the Flat Iron Building! Such history there. Across the street is a filming location for Sweet Smell of Success with Tony Curtis And Burt Lancaster. My daughter is a film editor in New York City and we go to Madison Park all the time. And Union Square. Her kitchen is about the size of yours but honestly she orders in most of the time ha ha …

That's a lot more apartment than I thought you could get in Midtown for $3,000. I gave up my 2-room (no bedroom) apartment in the East Village almost 20 years ago. It was in a gross roach infested 5-story walk up, two small windows, no view, peeling paint. And it was half this price.
It’s way below market price for that area of Manhattan. I would believe it if it was in Brooklyn or Queens. Maybe if it’s under rent stabilization.
This was the best decision ever!
