Thanks so much for watching our video! We hope it inspires you to create today! tinyurl.com/mr3rd9v9
Having a really good pair of scissors is extremely important and Kudos to Tim for making these two sizes for us. Thanks for the demo.
For sure!
Thank you for covering those questions!
Our pleasure!
Fantastic!!!! Broke my heart when my original go-to company stopped making their recoil scissors. I'll hunt these down quick-smart!!! Terrific news!😊
Excellent!
These look / sound great! Question: It's my understanding that you never use your paper scissors to cut anything but paper and sewing scissors for nothing but cloth because it will dull the blade. In the video you used the scissors to cut anything. Will switching from let's say paper to cloth to foil... etc... dull the blades for these scissors?
I was taught the same thing. I think it would be much more important if you were a seamstress cutting delicate fabrics. We knew as kids that Mom's sewing scissors were NEVER to be used on paper...God help anyone who ignored that rule! 😂
They have the ability to cut a variety of materials for sure. Perhaps if you were constantly cutting fabric it may be different, but to the best of our knowledge, they are designed to be able to switch between things.
Lynn Le Bel Very well described and great information! This will help me decide what scissors I need when the time comes for replacement.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the overview , it was really helpful
Thanks for the info!!!
I’m not sure why these are better. What did I miss? I love the Tim Holtz scissors I have but not sure why I need these.
Recoil scissors help people who suffer from hand fatigue because you’re not having to both cut and release. They do the releasing for you. I, for instance, have MS, and recoil scissors allow me to get more done before my hand starts to fail me!
I think it was well covered if you watch the video. They have features that many other scissors don't have. The titanium non-stick blades are a winner for me, as most scissors I've got don't have that and cutting foam tape or really any type of tape usually builds up gunk on the blades and these do not. The fact that you get two different springs so you can opt for which ever tension is best for you - or your particular project is something I've never seen before. Tim Holtz always puts out GREAT quality and well-thought-out products - because he's a crafter and knows what is needed and useful! You may not NEED these, but I can totally see how helpful they would be and I'll be getting one or both!
For sure!
Well explained, Pam!
Awesomeness ❤
I have been very impressed with the quality of Tim Holtz scissors. I appreciate the attention to detail and great ideas. think I would love these.
We think you would!
Love the fabric. Is that a Ranger product? Where can it be purchased?
We carry it at Simon Says Stamp! It's a Tim Holtz product: tinyurl.com/fufxah6y
@@SimonSaysStamp Thank you so much for responding. I am very impressed.
Thank you for the video. Are the protective cap on these and other Tim Holtz scissors the same? And are hey sold separately?
The protective sleeves are designed to perfectly fit these products and come with them. They are not at this point sold separately.
They look and remind me of the fiskars scissors with the mini ones, why would I need another pair if they work the same.
It's always up to you to decide what you need, but Shari did give a lot of information about the special features of these. 😊
These look like great scissors. However, they need to make left-handed scissors as well.
They are. See last 10 seconds of video
If you watch the video they explain that these are both designed to be able to easily be used by either right or left handers.
They work for left-handers! Shari herself (who is the narrator of the video) is left-handed.
❤
