I don't mind it as like a side project or whatever I mean he obviously wanted to do something different but yeah pushing it through anjuna and above & beyond is not really fair.. anjuna is really going in a crazy direction lately, obviously the old school regulars like bluestone, Levi, Alpha 9, zo, bayer (other than he and smiths new release) have been busy on other labels while Genix's new album was ok but not mind blowing like I was hoping.. I know it's silly to be stuck in the past but above and beyond haven't been releasing anything like they used to.. I would have loved to see Tony release something on Anjunadeep, he used to do those mammoth 3+ hour deep sets regularly and I thought that was the direction he'd head in the future but this was way left field.
@@jaredmuller171 must be around yes men all the time, probably thought it sounded good. It's all changing for the worse, I agree. Loads of artists doing weird choices but they're not even good difference's, it's simplified songs without the effort put in, like becoming complacent and lazy. I miss their oceanlab days personally, a lot of their recent stuff is almost pop.
