Marv levy should have found a way to get him on the field more. Go to a 4 receiver set, sub him in, whatever it took. I was never a fan of the Bills but would like to have seen more of Tasker.
I vividly remember this game as a kid! I was a big LA Raider fan and wanted nothing more than to get some payback on the Bills for the previous year's AFC Title game ass kicking. This game and the Michigan (Fab 5 national debut) vs Duke basketball game in Ann Arbor the following week were HUGE sporting events leading into Christmas 1991. I can still remember the vibe of those days....cool as hell...
Scott Norwood was 1 of 4 on FG's and missed an extra point. His first FG made of the day was the OT game winner after missing the chip shot that wouldve ended the game in regulation.
What a telling omen this was for the Bills. They should have moved on from Norwood after this game and perhaps they win the Super Bowl. But, alas, who knows what kickers were out there.
Great comeback victory for the Bills in Los Angeles and a rough day for Norwood before finally winning the game in OT but this was the year AFTER Scott Norwood's Tragic FG Miss(Wide Right) with 7 Secs left to loose the S.B. vs Giants. In my honest opinion, this OT Victory over the Raiders I feel was the last straw for Norwood. The very next season(1992)Steve Christie emerges as our No.1 kicker while Norwood is cut.
My brother in law and I flew to this game from Dallas. We were at the first Bills Cowboys superbowl a while later. As I dug both teams I won. This year Go Bills.
This was the I knew something was seriously wrong game for me this it just all made sense for me quality depth leadership coaching I just knew we were going to have problems
Did you guys see Scotty pull the 2nd to the last Feild goal to the freakin RIGHT? SHIT WIDE RIGHT!!!! I LOVE MY BUFFALO BILLS! GO BILLS SUPER BOWL 57 BABY!!! BILLS MAFIA FOREVER!🏈🏈🏈💙💙🏈

I’m a Raiders Fan but Remember when We Always had A GREAT OLINE.!! Our Offense was So Sweet (except QB.. Jay was Always Up & Down..) but then We got Hosteler who I liked a lot.. Marcus SHOULDVE had 2 SB Wins with Oakland.!! Imagine if Bo never Gets Hurt.!! (Nick Bell .Stop it play Marcus.!!) & Steve Smith what a GREAT FB.!! GOD BLESS U STEVE Suffering from MS..
That Al Edwards return and then the Clifford Hicks punt return...SMH. Classic Raiders of the Lost 90's. Little things affecting winning and losing. Game should've been over in the 1st half. This game basically sent the Raider franchise in to a tailspin. They'd lose their next seven games after this, including the playoffs and 1992 season. They'd go 7-12 after going 14-5 in their previous 19 games. It took Jeff Hostetler to help them get back to winning in 1993.
You left out the key play of the game IMHO. After Ronnie Lott's INT at 17:50...Raiders had a 3rd and less than a yard. If they pick that up, they probably grind out the clock. Instead, Nick Bell got stoned and the Bills finally got the K-Gun firing properly.
Steve Tasker is the greatest special teams player of all time. Uncanny ability to effect the outcome of every game he played in.
Agreed-It's an absolute crime that he has not been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

I was lucky enough to go to this game with my uncle. So much fun in the stands, even with the loss. Great memories.

When the Bills defense came alive the raiders didn't stand a chance.
Classic gem. Thanks for sharing.

Marcus was the greatest short yardage and goal line player of all time. He should have carried the ball.
This is the game that got Norwood fired lol
Scudd Norwood
Good game 👍
