Montpeiller is a great place in France. Nice is a must see. The south of France is spectacular during summer months and once the festivals return you can tour the bordering cities in Spain as well. Enjoy your trip home.

It's been a great series but I'm looking forward to some non-vanlife Beans again.
A campervan can save you a lot of money travelling, but you've still got the initial cost of getting one. And if you're renting one, the charges and security deposit can be enormous. A hotel stay, I can aspire to!
Plus, you can't beat the comfort of a nice hotel room with plenty of space, hot and cold running water, climate control and all the modcons.
Enjoy your next adventure! Here we come refried Travel Beans

I can actually relate to what you said about planning a trip and reflecting on your travels. Yes slow mornings and sometimes getting lost in the moment is amazing but to have a plan is what gets us going. Also I feel reflecting is what makes us actually grow and appreciate travel so much.
Absolutely loved this winter van life series guys.🥂

Good for you for being considerate in how much you share locations. It wouldn't even occur to many people that sharing an exact spot could be a problem. Your point about how you are aware that you can choose or not choose van life really says a lot about how thoughtful you are as well. I'm impressed too with how you lived so continuously in your van, I think I would enjoy it for a weekend or so, especially camping out somewhere beautiful (or in a campground where I would have access to bathrooms) but I don't think I'd ever feel comfortable stealth camping in a city.

I totally agree. Get out there and do things while you’re young and healthy. Sadly my health took a real dive last year. I was just getting my life together after a lot of personal issues and I was intending on doing out a small van for weekend trips at the age of 48. This is now not a possibility due to my health and one of my regrets is not doing more, exploring more/travelling more etc when I was younger. I’m not old but my freedom/life is being taken away from me before I could do the things I would have loved to do. Don’t let this happen to you x

Yeah, almost the same here. I decided to look into van life a couple of years ago just as I got some health problems that are manageable now but could suddenly prevent me from being able to drive. I could have got some time in I suppose but the thought of being stuck scared me too much. I've barely travelled and wish I'd done so now in my 20's.

:'( I'm a bit sad to see "The Beans Winter Series" come to a close. Every week I've noticed a growing excitement and anticipation of the next installment.. even setting aside time with my wife to "see what the Beans are up to this week." You are so charming, so funny, so engaging. We love it!
I hope you visit Denmark on your Scandinavian adventure. There are so many places we can recommend.. sure, we don't have the rugged fjords of Norway or the vast wildernesses of Sweden... we're more of a well tended rustic garden... with a music festival practically every week in the summer... and, Denmark loves traveling wilburys.

Thank you Beans for having us along on your adventure. I've enjoyed every twist and turn and admire your "can do" style. I totally get your reflections on plans -v- freedom, the latter can be weirdly disconcerting. My motto is to have a plan to guide you on, but not be tied strictly to it. If a diversion comes along that you want to follow - break the plan!! Thanks again, and look forward to more fun!!

How much I have enjoyed your blogs! Your introspections in this last blog were delightfully honest. My wife Marleen and I (both retired) have completed 5 x 3-month outings in our campervan and the feelings you have are well understood. The bad news is that there is no known cure for wanderlust and the moment you are not sleeping on wheels, you'll be restless.
I also have some idea of the number of hours that are involved in post production of your videos and in very constricted conditions and I congratulate you on managing all of that and managing to get in all the exciting things you have done. In the end, the best bit, the deepest and most successful bit, is two people living permanently in one another's company; finding you privacy in new ways - like my wife watches TV through earpads while I maintain a healthy angst trying to get the blog pages up to Wordpress.
So, thank you for entertaining me for a long time now. You'll get over this 'home' sickness thing very soon, I feel sure. Really looking forward to your next 'notification'. Get on with it!
With our very best wishes, Marleen and Mike

When I did a ski season working out in the French Alpes I loved it for the 1st month or so but by the end of the season I felt claustrophobic waking up in the same chalet in the valley with huge mountains either side of me. By the time I left after 5 months i hated the place even though it was stunningly beautiful.

You guys are great.. Don't give up on the vanlife completely.. I feel that having a small van, like what you currently have, makes things more difficult. Now don't shoot me for saying this. I love vanlife and I love the life I have managed to carve out with my van. I've not been on any adventures yet (mainly as I haven't sorted my work life balance) but maybe a bigger van, more space to move around is needed. I have an Iveco daily XLWB so its big. I now have an office on this, bed, toilet, kitchen and enough space to swing a cat.
All the positives you say, about saving money on Rent etc are all true & amazing.

I feel like Michael Scott when he discovered UA-cam and didn’t work for a week. Since I discovered you guys I cannot stop watching your videos! You’re so entertaining but informative and I’m so inspired by your travels! Can’t wait to see what you’re up to next.

I've always viewed this channel as a travel vloggers channel rather than a van lifer channel. The videos you've made whilst doing your little van life stint has been great, I've always felt that there was a little something missing. The travel series you've done has always been, for me, a reason to keep coming back to this channel every week. Good luck with your future adventures and I can't wait to see more from you guys.

Interesting video. I haven't done any travelling since 2019 because of Covid-19 but maybe it's time to do something. Best wishes for the future.

You are very blessed to be able to travel and have such an adventure. God has made sure you had this journey. Glad you got to experience this. A lot of us say we’re going to do it and then time passes by and you never end up doing it. Life is so different from when I was young. Never got the opportunity to travel very much. The fact that you recorded it for us all to see was very kind. You are also very lucky to be able to work from wherever you are.

Nice one guys. All totally understandable. Much nicer to have the van and bugger off somewhere every 3-4 months or so. Having a structure to your plans as opposed to totally winging it also helps I think. Thanks for the fun and humour that is always a part of Beanie Adventures. Taker care of each other.

What a wonderful journey you have done, take a break and explore something new in a leisure time style, then come back and explore Scandinavia! I was happy to hear that 😁🙌❤️

Loved watching the winter tour, you guys are such fun to watch. Fully get your point, permanently living in a van must be incredibly difficult even though it has this magic about it. I as you need some structure in my life and having a plan certainly helps. Look forward to the next video , this time without the bean machine.

Thank you Beans for this video whilst I am planning my 3-month European Van trip this summer (perhaps not the best timing), love the message of your video which reminds me to be more mindful and intentional about this upcoming Van trip! I personally love to plan ahead, not to the tiny details but a framework of where I want to go and what activities I want to do, this is going to be my debut Van trip and I am super excited and nervous about it! Thank you for sharing your trip with us! Excited to see where life takes you in the next chapter! x

May daughter and I visited L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and fell in love with the small village and surrounding area. Give it a try the next time you are in the Avignon region.

Aw. Its been a great series guys absolutely loved it. When you go back to France the Normandy beaches are all well worth a visit. Aubigny-sur-Nere is a beautiful town with a little twist of Scotland and Figeac is also exrtemely pretty. Have a cracking time in Meh-he-co...."¡Ándale! ¡Ándale! ¡Arriba! ¡Arriba! ¡Epe! ¡Epe! ¡Epe! Yeehaw!" Stay safe..

That was such an insightful report on full time vanlife. I considered renting my flat and going FT but for the same sort of reasons decided not to. Plus, I'm old and farty and like my bath and washing machine too much! What you said about life being precious because it ends and applying that to trips was beautiful. That's exactly where I'm at. Thanks for the honesty guys and good luck for the future👍 🙏
