No specific moments but I really love the sheer sense of fun you seem to share. I know there’s been some dark moments when Emma has been battling with depression et cetera but you’ve got through it and probably become stronger in the process. You sharing those difficult times with us has probably been very helpful for others in a similar position. I’ve done my fair share of travelling but a lot of it unfortunately was before UA-cam was a thing. I’m sure I would’ve embraced it and had my own channel had it been a possibility then. I look forward to lots more videos from you in the future. By the way, I really enjoy hearing Emma’s ’ somewhat dirty laugh.
Congratulations on 500 🎉🎊 I have 2 favorites.. 1st When you and The Endless Adventure almost got "murdered" by a Slovenian AirB&B host 🗡🗡🤣🤣 2nd In Edinburgh having a Tipsy Beans episode with Emma reciting a hilarious story about an old woman and Alex eating Pizza Crunch 🤣🤣
Congratulations Beans I’ve only joined recently so I don’t know if I’m qualified but I really liked the one where you told everyone about that Deathtrap van it was great info for others who follow the same path
It has to be the first (I think it was the first) Tipsy Beans when you drank that rice wine and did the quick fire questions. Too funny. My cheeks hurt I laugh so much at that video
"Name your favourite Travel Beans moment on the channel" Until this video it was traveling around Scotland but watching how happy you four were is a delight!
I loved this video. I’ve skied all my life, and worked a couple of seasons out in France. It really is the best feeling in the world! Just as you said, I wish everyone could have the opportunity to experience it. I’m currently disabled with chronic fatigue, so I haven’t been able to ski for 2 years. I’m about to buy a van to convert into a ski chalet on wheels. When I’m feeling better I’ll use it to follow the snow around Europe. It’s a dream which is really keeping me going through these tough times.
I used to ski many years ago. Then while sking during a snowstorm in Lake Tahoe I had a very bad fall. My one ski did not come off so as I was rolling my knee went "pop, pop, pop". Luckly I was the second to the last person on the mountain. The couple behind me skied down and reported it to the sky patrol. They came up with a sled and got me off the mountain before I got burried in the snow. Unfortunatly after knee surgery my skiing days were over......but I sure do have some awsome memories!!!! Not the least of which was appreciating the excellent tight a__ of the ski patrol hunk as he took me down the mountain on the recovery sled!!!!! 😊
I have just discovered your fabulous film about your first adventure in Kitzbuhel. I have skied there on and off since my 20's. Got married, introduced my husband, then my son to the place. It is much loved and although we've tried other resorts, just can't help coming back. I'm 65 now and intend introducing my granddaughter to Kitzbuhel. Your film brought me to tears, happy ones I hasten to add, and hope you'll all get to enjoy it again.
For us personally, your video have the ability to bring out a range of emotions from viewers like happiness,🥰🤩 wanderlust or curiosity, immersive visual and heart-pounding sound. Your travel video with a perfect balance of these attributes keep us engaged throughout the entire length of the video and leave us wanting more. Congratulations........
Left Scotland for Munich 10 years ago, all I need now is a ski pass and a tank of fuel to hit the slopes, love it. If you're still in the area St Johann is well worth a visit. Dolomites you will love, best in February. Remember extensions, it will help so much with your turns.
What a fabulous ending to a year that started with such a big disaster. You could not have chosen a better place to begin a new year. A few years ago we spent Christmas in Innsbruck and new year on lake Garda in Italy. It was cold and beautiful in all the snow. We travelled by train, the easy way.
My wife and I loved your video of skiing in Kitzbuhel and we were really glad that you enjoyed it so much. We are lucky to have skied there many times and it brought a tear to my wife's eyes seeing your joy and pleasure. Skiing is a wonderful sport and we hope that you get the chance to ski again this winter.
I went out of my comfort zone probably in Malta in 2020, before the world went crazy. I've been skiing only a few times when I was younger, but I love it. I lived also in Austria for almost two years. Thanks for the brilliant video!
Really enjoyed watching this clip, It made me remember my one & only time i went Snow-boarding in Badgastein Austria. Roughly about 4yrs ago, I really loved it & wish i could do it again but alas i cant due to knee trouble😢 You guys are entertaining on the next level. Keep the laughter up. 😉👍
You guys should of contacted Kara and Nate and they totally would of hooked you up I bet with the skiing instructions 😁❤ They did a few ski vids as well and if you need some adventure ideas they have plenty!! Lol! What a beautiful two days you had skiing!! That is amazing! We had a terrible situation on New Years and New years day in Nashville, TN with Tornado warnings all the time! It was awful for that reason, but thankful we were all okay. Would be cool to see you guys doing a couple of things like ice skating, sleigh rides in the snow, going to an ice castle, seeing you on a cruise and if you need more ideas just keep asking! I love these kinds of videos! 😁💖
You guys are an absolute delight, regardless of how crap my days been, I always get a warm feeling of happiness after watching your vlogs, so thank you, thank you, thank you & a very happy new year to you all. I can't wait to see the next chapter of your amazing travels.
45 years ago with my then fiancee (now hubby), we went skiing and I nearly split laughing when he suddenly veered off straight to his left into deep powdery snow. With me one second…gone the next. It took a long time for him to dig himself. He didn’t think it was so funny. It gives deep pleasure to see u experience such a glorious time in Austria. Well remember the scam from earlier. Just shows to keep pressing on. Love Jitts too. Wishing u all joy and happiness in 2022. Also love how the 4 of u get along. Friends are true gifts. What were the temps while skiing? We r at -30 C here in Canada. 🇨🇦❤️
Fantastic Beans vid as usual. I remember my mother telling me many years ago about her skiing experiences at Kitzbuhel as a young-un back in the early 50's. So it was a pleasant surprise to see where you were. Thank you for such a great "enhanced" memory.
Good time! Only skied once....on my honeymoon. No lessons, no bunny slope. I was scared to death. First on the moguls among the trees and then the slope that drops off on the side (I saw one like it in your video). Had trouble with getting off the ski lift. We made it to the bottom safely but I wasn't having fun. Hubby (who'd been skiing before) was behind me yelling "put your knees together" or something like that to slow down. I ended up sitting in the snow at the bottom of the downhill slope watching him, hoping I wouldn't be a widow before I had a chance to really be a wife!
Your video's give so much energy, they always make me smile! Ik can't name a favourite one, but all the video's about Scotland are high on the list. You made me smile after my world fell apart in 2021 when I lost my sister. In my darkest days your video's did bring back a little light. Thank you so much! Happy new year!
I wish I had done this many years ago, I had ski poles for years, but the cost of the hotel and gear as well as lessons, it’s not cheap. So went to Corfu and came back with cash. Absolutely loved the video. ❤️❤️
What a way to celebrate your 500th and the New Year! May 2022 bring you as much love and happiness as you've shown us on this one. Best wishes and thanks again for sharing.
Ahhh guys being a skier/boarder myself, this one has to be my fav ❤️ I knew exactly how you were feeling.. Skiing makes you feel free and being surrounded by mountains is such a special feeling.. If yr ever down Courchevel way (French Alps) we could sort you out with some free equipment and somewhere to park up and show you around.. If yr like me 1 ski trip a year was never enough.. Decathlon is always a good shout for cheap good quality winter/ski gear also HAPPY 2022 - Cool Beanz 🤙🏼 🚐💨🏂⛷🚠🏔❤️ PS - So good I had to watch it twice 😁
Great for you guys!!!! I've been skiing all my life, Cascade Mountains, Washington State, USA. My sister traveled to Austria with all of her girlfriends many years ago, they had a brilliant experience. My favorite ski areas are now getting pounded with snow, measured in feet rather than inches. I'll wait till spring to get back on boards. However, love to drive up to Crystal mountain, make my way to the Snorting Elk pub, and enjoy as many as I can. If your lucky to find a chair by the old stone fireplace, you've got it made. Great video, keep them coming, Happy New year, 2022. Pray for snow, Don Wilson, Tacoma, Washington, USA.
Kitzbuhel certainly is a magical place, I learnt to snowboard there in '91. Spend two winters there back when a season pass was just 250 quid. Brilliant video. Would love to get back to Kitz one day. For now it is surfing on the Gold Coast.
Probably 30yrs since I last skied (west coast US), your vlog brought back so many memories...the aching feet...brutal...which tells you how fun it was because we endured the aching feet just to go down one more time. We made a point to go on the actual holiday as it was a sure way to avoid the crowds. Happy New Year you two. BTW as you travel there are many ski resorts that have super discounts for mid week etc., look for smaller ones off the beaten path. We regularly skied at Kirkwood - 20 miles south of Lake Tahoe, if you skied Heavenly (right in South Lake Tahoe town) it cost a lot more. Also some retailers sold discount tickets just to get you into their store. Congrats on the 500th vlog, they are all my favorites.
You four look like you are having the best time, this video made us smile :) The snow looks crazy beautiful. Skiing scares me, its pretty certain I would injure myself, you are all braver than me.
What an amazing ski trip, so happy you have some lovely people to share this experience with! We are true UA-camrs when you start learning everything from it as well! Haha
Well Travel Beans, you have got me hooked, been watching Trucking Videos for the last couple of years, but now you are my go to channel first. Trying to catch up, did not realize you had done 500 vids. Will I ever catch up? I am a retired English Truck driver living in Australia 80 yrs old, done quite a bit of travelling, but not to your standard. Love your attitude to life and the places you are getting to. Watched you start with your camper van (scammed) and the build, fantastic. Keep up the good work and keep an old man happy xx
Ha, at Almsee you're about an hour's drive from where I grew up, 2 lakes over to the left, by "Attersee", the big one, that looks like a boot. With Kitzbühel you hit on one of the ritziest, most expensive ski resorts in Austria. Saalbach/Hinterglemm (my personal favourite skiing haunt) is fantastic and by far not as pricey. Glad to see that you had such a great time! - HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Amazing video! Skiing looked like so much fun! The ending sunset was spectacular! Wishing you both a happy, healthy and adventurous new year, can't wait to see more adventures
We just bought a used Class B, and we've had it out for a shakedown weekend to get acquainted. We've been thinking we would use it for family weekend trips (our two 20yo +/- guys in tents, my wife and I in the van) up and down the East Coast. But now, you have me thinking... We previously did an annual ski trip where we would group up and hit one of the Colorado, Utah, and BC ski resort areas each year. We haven't done that in 20 years (yikes!), but your video was a bit of a revelation to me! We have the nearby PA and WV ski areas that we could do pretty easily, and I'm now thinking about what a trip out west could look like for us! Thanks for the awesome, awesome video. You guys are so freaking awesome!
Ooh I had to know you where in Austria! I just drove back from Austria (Yesterday also with a campervan). We stayed for a week in Mayrhofen. If I knew, I had to give you some ski or snowboard lessons.. but you nailed it, really enjoyed watching how quick you all learned it! Being in the mountains gives me the best feeling, especially in winter when skiing! Save travels!
What a lovely vlog to watch! The beauty of the area is breathtaking! Although I felt cold even just watching this from the comfort of my couch. You guys truly looked like you were having so much fun. Brilliant! Best thing is that nobody got injured. Happy New Year!
Love that you all had such a fantastic time skiing. Seeing this video has finally given me hope that our group trip skiing to Austria in a few weeks might actually happen. The complete joy of seeing you enjoy the mountains, I'm actually getting excited to get there now. Just the pcr 48 hours before arriving to Austria to pass now we don't have to test to come home again at the end of the week. If you can get to Obergurl above Solden, you HAVE to try out the Nederhutt for live music and fun, though may be toned down for obvious reasons. Keep up the fun seeking!
I'd just like to say thankyou for in every video I smile or laugh which I thank you for I look forward to each video and enjoy seeing what u get up too keep smashing it in 22 beans
Absolutely Amazing!!! Great scenery, presentation and personalities. You two are totally living the van life dream, Thankyou so much for sharing it with us all xxx
This just puts a great big smile on my face. 2021 has been hideous for me as I lost my mother to covid. Your vlogs have been a tonic. Thank you and happy new year to you both xx
Get yourselves over to the gastine valley. In bad hog gastine there is one of the best spas in the world called alpine therm. It is a real must. Austria is amazing
That was brilliant to watch... And so much better for sharing the experience between four. Definitely it was worth the splurge. And yes.. in Irish English it was definitely far better than just 'grand' .. It was epic! And the 'craic' was mighty.. ! And such a beautiful setting. You've nearly convinced me to 'give it a lash'.. though I'd be afraid of breaking an ankle or such if I tried it.
Although I haven't been back through the entire of catalog of videos, I think my favorites are those with Alex eating German sausages, and Emma showing us her mounds (mossy and otherwise) as a close second. Seriously though, seeing the van life videos after a long stretch of van build videos, which were compelling in their own right, is marvelous. Congrats on a great 2021 and best of luck in 2022.👍
Oh I am so jealous. Can’t wait to get back to the slopes. I also learned as a kid and went over 15 years without skiing. But it is like riding a bike. Came right back to me. Happy New Year Beans!!
Wow , jealous!! Should have skied last year and this year but haven’t managed it - having skied for many years I’m feeling withdrawal symptoms 😂😂 glad you enjoyed it and impressed with the rapid progress of the 2 previously non skiers !
I have my van not converted yet but the plan is to spend winters in the Alps skiing, next year will be the start of the adventures, nothing comes close.
Any day you finish skiing and you did not brake a leg is a good one. Happy New Year's Beans and may 2022 be better than 2021. Stay safe and have fun. Cheers ☕☕🧔PS Congratulation on 500 videos, We love your channel 💑
We are so jealous right now, we have skied since we were children , you guys did so well. The prices were something else but there are smaller resorts which give better value for money. Loved the video.
We cancelled our Austrian ski holiday thanks to son's COVID but great to see you killing it on the piste. Hope to get out in February. 2nd best tip for cheap skiing - YOUTH HOSTELS! There are some fab ones across the Alps. How cold was it at night? Ski tip - lean into the front of the boots and hold the ski poles ahead of you not waving behind you (I'm a ski instructor ;-)!) But WELL DONE!
I saw this on Instagram and was soo jealous! Not because of the skiing, but because of how quickly you guys picked it up. I took 5 lessons + whole day on the bunny slope and STILL could barely ski for a couple of hours before being comepletely our of breath. My legs were killing me. So yeah, definently impressed but also immensly jealous.
LOL, I was worse off! I could not even get off the bunny slope. It was exhausting! The joy of these two almost made me cry. Such a hard few years and seeing people being happy is touching.
@@TravelBeans Tried on two seprate holidays and the second time I twisted my knee so badly I could barely walk. Then I gave up and decided I wasn't a snow bunny/bean. :P In laws are dissapointed but I can't be bothered anymore.
Love Austria and love it even more now. The views are spectacular. Living in Canada I used to ski when I was younger but bad knees have put a stop to that but now I cross country ski instead. Enjoy your trip. Safe travels and thank you for the video. Happy New Year.
Cool short video. Great both crews met up... With a magical experience to see in the new year. Been looking forward to the view since the instagram clips were shared. Brilliant
Never even been skiing before, but the joy on your faces made this a fantastic film to watch......but its soooooo bloody expensive!! Keep up the good work Beans....absolutely love all your films. Happy New Year to you both!!
If you plan for next yr skiing through the winter, season rental of gear is cheaper than a week rental in a resort. Decathlon is your friend for cheap ski gear.
This is my favourite Vlog since the last one, till the next one! My favourite alpine sport is "bombing" down the mountainside (hill) on a big sheet of thick plastic (industrial wrap off shipped goods has Olympic standards for speed) in the good olde days when it proper snowed when we were kids and your feet got wet, soggy and frozen and your hands went red no ski lift here. Kids were tough in the North. To the four of you, Wishing You All The Best in 2022! Safe Travels!
Holy Moly... that opening scene I really feel you guys on the affordability of skiing, but imagine doing it with the van costs a fraction!!! Perhaps more for future years, but Eastern Europe's ski resorts are a fraction of the price of France/Austria etc. If you're still in snowy areas, you guys should try something like cross country skiing or snow shoe-ing. I don't know if it's possible around the alps, but in Scandinavia you can go on skating tours around interconnected lakes which just sounds amazing! Really enjoyed this episode a lot. It's making me want to go ski! ⛷️
Wowwww! We have now added skating to our Scandinavia travel list! That sounds awesome!! Also, yes yes yes to trying skiing in some cheaper places - Eastern Europe is a great shout! We thought we may have seen people doing cross country skiing then other day and it actually looked quite fun! So excited to try so many new activities while we're in the van!
What a great video! I haven't been skiing for about 12 years and now I desperately need to go again! Love how you are doing it out of your van, too. Superb!
So great to see happy and grateful people enjoying their livestyle! All the best for both of you in 2022! It is really a pleasure to watch your videos!
Haven’t got to ski in Austria yet! But we ski all the time as a family and my daughters race slalom and giant slalom for a local team :) life long sport and get to spend time with awesome views! Hoping to get to ski in Austria some day!
Great video as usual. Over the years I have to say the videos in Southern Italy are my favourite, especially the ones where you found those unexpected beautiful beaches. Had planned to go there before seeing your videos, they made me more determined to go. Had to postpone because of the dreaded lurgy,
This is our 500th video on the channel 😮🎉. Name your favourite Travel Beans moment on the channel below 👇🏼 ❤️

Bloody epic, ski in/ski out from the van. That's what dreams are made of, loving the winter van life adventures!
Hey! Its my other favorite EU van lifer - Hi Will!
Seriously! Our thoughts exactly
Keep it up will 👍

You were lucky not to injure spine
Not only were you skiing in/out of your van , but you were skiing world famous Kitzbühel , where the rich and famous go. Two thumbs up !!

What they said!
Skiing is the best sport ever! Thanks for this video that shows it can be reasonably priced!
It's insane how cheap the lift tickets are compared the US.

Grinned from ear to ear watching this! What an experience - so happy to see you guys so happy! ♥️

I remember my first time skiing, it's a mix of fear and joy
I'm going to suggest fishing as a activity you can do from the van plus the added knowledge of how to live more substantially you get is a bonus
I moved to Europe two days ago, and your video is an inspiration to do something I never would have tried. Thank you so much for your hard work.
Scotland has some amazing snowstorms. There is no beating a day of snow followed by a day of sun powder bluebird.
Totally underrated especially if you have Adam and Tania’s van, so spacious.
Agreed! It's the perfect size! Big but not too big 😍
You guys are an absolute delight, regardless of how crap my days been, I always get a warm feeling of happiness after watching your vlogs, so thank you, thank you, thank you & a very happy new year to you all. I can't wait to see the next chapter of your amazing travels.

So lovely to see you two enjoying skiing so much. I think Emma would make a great Ski-Instructor. Well done.

that ending was just stunning!!!! We SOOOO have to take our van, Buzz, to Europe for a spot of skiing/snowboarding!
It’s so amusing watching two versions of a journey or trip. I watched this and the one of Jits into the Sunset.
I wish I had done this many years ago, I had ski poles for years, but the cost of the hotel and gear as well as lessons, it’s not cheap. So went to Corfu and came back with cash. Absolutely loved the video. ❤️❤️

You two made me smile throughout my lunch hour on my first day back at work. Skiing looked amazing. Take care. Happy New Year.
Misty Austria looks so cozy and magical. Congrats on your 500th video!!.
One of your best yet! Whoop! Your happiness is infectious
Amazing video! Skiing looked like so much fun! The ending sunset was spectacular! Wishing you both a happy, healthy and adventurous new year, can't wait to see more adventures
Hello, after reading your comment, you love to travel, my goal is to travel around the world, and I hope to discuss some things about travel with you
We just bought a used Class B, and we've had it out for a shakedown weekend to get acquainted.
What a nice couple you are...awesome. Emma's voice is like one of a film star. Love it! All the best for you. Greetins from Cologne, Germany.
Lovely vlogs, enjoying all that snow! We managed a teeny bit in our Scotland tour .. epic! Thank you for sharing XxRR
It's truly a fun time to be a part of the best experience in Alex's life. Thanks!
Ah, a bluebird day to finish out 2021. Beautiful video!
OK you guys, I am in tears...of JOY for you. Happy New Year
This just puts a great big smile on my face. 2021 has been hideous for me as I lost my mother to covid. Your vlogs have been a tonic. Thank you and happy new year to you both xx
That's awful...so sorry for your loss Catherine. I hope life turns around for you this year.
Oh I’m so sorry to read this, sending you love across the Internet Catherine and I hope this year is a better one for you.
i been skiing for 3 to 4 years or longer, I love it we ski in Canada & USA our home country
Great video. I went skiing for the first time ever when I was nearly 60. Absolutely loved it! Keep loving life!
never seen you guys smile so hard, you should do this more often. greetings from melbourne
Nice Job Vlogger Travel Beans . We want more, Congrats. to 500. Jim and Harriet
This was amazing. I don’t even like skiing and you made it look fun and beautiful. Thanks for making these and sharing
I have my van not converted yet but the plan is to spend winters in the Alps skiing, next year will be the start of the adventures, nothing comes close.
What a great way to finish off 2021!! Invest in a good water filter system if you haven’t already. Congratulations on a fantastic adventure!!!
Hi Guys, you rock 2022 with all your adventures. Enjoy!
You both look so happy! Love you Beans 💖💖
Looks like you had such a good day guys - well done ⛷️
I saw this on Instagram and was soo jealous! Not because of the skiing, but because of how quickly you guys picked it up. I took 5 lessons + whole day on the bunny slope and STILL could barely ski for a couple of hours before being comepletely our of breath. My legs were killing me. So yeah, definently impressed but also immensly jealous.
LOL, I was worse off! I could not even get off the bunny slope. It was exhausting! The joy of these two almost made me cry. Such a hard few years and seeing people being happy is touching.
Oh no! What a shame! Was it enough to put you off for life or would you give it another go?
Aw that's such a sweet thing to say Diana.. thank you 🙏 we had so much fun, we can't stop talking amongst ourselves about how much fun it was 😂
@@TravelBeans Tried on two seprate holidays and the second time I twisted my knee so badly I could barely walk. Then I gave up and decided I wasn't a snow bunny/bean. :P
In laws are dissapointed but I can't be bothered anymore.
Brilliant
Fabulous, fabulous , fabulous, guys, now that’s van life at its best. So glad you enjoyed it so much. Happy New Year beans.
You guys are such a refreshing duo. Kudos to your good and worth watching contents. Blessings!❤️
Never even been skiing before, but the joy on your faces made this a fantastic film to watch......but its soooooo bloody expensive!!
Keep up the good work Beans....absolutely love all your films. Happy New Year to you both!!
The Beans Rocking out to OFF! Cheers 🍻 from Denver, Colorado
You guys are awesome…love your channel. Lovely accents, personalities and adventures…so fun to watch…
If you plan for next yr skiing through the winter, season rental of gear is cheaper than a week rental in a resort. Decathlon is your friend for cheap ski gear.
Great video! Smile and laughter is all that matters
Started watching you when you were scammed. Have loved following along this year - bring on 2022!!
That sounds like a blast haha. Happy new year!
NC500 was my favourite Travel Beans Video(s) fantastic !!
Agreed.....It's making us all wanna go ski.
@@TravelBeans You should check out Zakopane in the Tatras in Southern Poland - it's gorgeous!
Go Stompit tyuts!!! Thankx for the heads up on the car park by the Fleckalmbahn!! Will definitely be leveraging this
Great video as usual. Over the years I have to say the videos in Southern Italy are my favourite, especially the ones where you found those unexpected beautiful beaches. Had planned to go there before seeing your videos, they made me more determined to go. Had to postpone because of the dreaded lurgy,
Never been interested in skiing, but jeez that looked fun! Best wishes for 2022
I am not sure about you but now that I have had a little coldness I am ready for a surf trip out of the van!!
