Disagree with what you said on not using slog 3 in wedding 8:25 .it is correct that it will bring grain in footage but most important thing is there is dual iso in a7siii and fx3 for all profile i.e for sloge3 base iso 640 and and dual iso 12800, if you shoot at night with low light use dual iso i.e 12800 so you wont get any grain and footage will look good. If you use other iso like 6400,8000 & 10,000 then your footage will look too grainy. So i think you should research on this. Im saying this beacuse i use slog3 on my a7siii and i dont have any issues using this profile in wedding weather there is light or not. Thank you , Big fan of your videos and work From Nepal.

This issue of loosing Dynamic range can be compensated with using another tool-- 'Exposure Index (EI), available in Sony's cinema line cameras, like FX 3/6/9 etc.etc. ( I know, that is an another Topic !) 😮

@1.42 min -- Standard profile utilises 6-7 stops of Dynamic range. - not 6-7 %, as you mantioned. Yes, you are right -- we are utilising about 50% of the sensor's Dynamic range 6-7 stops in Standard profile, out of total 14-15 stops. @7.38 min. - sRGB and Adobe RGB is for Still ; While in Video, it is Rec 709/ BT 709 and Rec 2020/BT 2020.( Although, Both still and Video share the same Color Gamut ) The reason why we don't get Noise in HLG is - its native ISO is "125" ; WHEREAS it is "800" ISO in S-log 3. Further, to add -- Noise is visible mostly in the darker portion of the image. So, while exposing our footage in S-log, we must be cautious and expose with ETTR technique, At the same time, we must try to maintain the exposure for Highlights - see that, they are not Blown out. The key is - We must learn the techniques to expose any Log profile in proper way. We may utilise tools like - Histogram, Zebra and False color (if available in-camera, else with external recorder).
