@@jaxxgotit643 if you have a food scale, you could actually throw on the recharged Boveda and compared to what the size in grams it’s supposed to be. 8gram pack and weighs in at 6g after being recharged is fine. If it weighs 12g then maybe the ratio % might be off
This method really works. If you add warm water(40-45C) it helps softening hard lumps. I weighed a completely dry boveda 72% pack, it was 36grams. After a day of soaking it reached 44 grams. I am not sure if it is possible to fully recharge (to 60grams) but still not bad.
Just a question, I have an humidor and I have also an hygrometer just like yours (thermpro). The humidor has a 50 cigars size, and I use 2 boveda packs (75 % RH, 60 gram) but the hygrometer says 60% RH. What should I do ?
@@ggperte1358 Do you have a wooden humidor? It's possible it's leaking humidity. 75 rh packs are a little too much humidity for cigars. I'd get a new humidor and switch to 69 or 65 rh packs
@@SippersSocialClubyep I have a wooden humidor, but its only 1 year since i got it, it always worked well so it would be strange if it’s leaking humidity.
Boveda doesn't want us to Recharge because they want us to spend more money. I recharge all of mines. Ive had the same packa for over a year. Ive recharged 6-7 times. I think 8xs might be the max because the outer packaging is starting to break down now😢
dude i save mine out of my dispensary jars and put about 20 of them in a platic sealed jar and just throw my buds in the jar with all of them and my shit never goes dry and the packs are all still useable but I dont leave my jars open for any longer than necessary. Now is every pack in there 100% probably not but its not like Im long time storing im putting max a quarter in there or an eighth at a time so it just keeps it from getting dry snd if its dry it brings a slight moisture back to the dry herb. I also take centimeter or 2 cubed size piece of carrot occasionally and throw it in with over dried weed overnight to bring a decent amount of moisture back to it til its gone. It works well but you can not add too large of a piece because it will go back to on the vine moisture if you do then you gotta dry it again but a small sliver or cube perfect.
I have a good collection been doing this for years without an issue. Boveda tells you not to because they obviously would rather you keep buying new packs
I have one that's still soft, going to give it a go. Wish I'd looked into this earlier, I've thrown out several over the months. Thanks for the vid. 👍
Yea man this man safe me a lot money tenk yuuuhh may firennnttt
Boveda says no...because of less potential sales 😂
yeah, but they also obviously can't guarantee consistency after you tamper with it

Once finished is it best to get rid off water 💦 our put it back in the gallon
@@TabrezKhan-eb7wh dump the water
I accidentally let my packs go rock hard. Does that mean I should leave them in the distilled water for an extra day or so
Yeah, try it out for two days, you'll know if they're taking water or not
Does a recharged pack goes around for a year?
@@joyboy5630 hard to say, but I haven't really noticed too much of a decline
i accidentally left my 💨 in the car last night and it’s cold how can i get it back some sort of soft and potent?

Search on UA-cam for Humidor 101 by Holt's Cigar Company and learn how to season your humidor correctly and fix your issue.

Awesome.. thx

You spend hundreds or even thousands on cigars. Then you try and save a few bucks by doing this. Wtf is wrong with people

Because I can use that $15 on a cigar Instead of boveda packs. So WTF is wrong with you? Use your brain.
This guy's talking cigars loooooool
You're a hero🫡.
