The Pokemon Trading Card Game is filled with so many different collectible items. Not only are Pokemon Cards desirable, but different toys, action figures, and plush are just a small circle of all the different Pokemon related items a Pokemon Fan can collect. While it may be somewhat simple to determine what area of the Pokemon hobby you want to tackle, one of the difficult things is choosing your favorite Pokemon. Personally, my favorite Pokemon is Chandelure. However, I frequently rotate out the next handful on my list because there are so many different Pokemon to choose from!
Chandelure is definitely not the most popular answer when you ask someone who their favorite Pokemon is. That title is most likely held by Pikachu. The long time sidekick of Ash has had tons of different artworks and cards that have been printed throughout the years. In fact, if you just type Pikachu in the search bar of TCGPlayer, you will yield tons of pages of results.
Can you imagine being a Pikachu Pokemon Card Collector? The sheer number of cards that feature Pikachu are incredible. However, some of these cards are incredibly expensive and have amazing artworks. In today's video, we take a look at 15 different Pikachu Pokemon Cards that are really seeing some price growth over the past year.

It’d be a real sacrifice for me, but I’d be willing to take your Pikachus - only as a personal favor to you, of course. We all gotta make sacrifices and that’s a cross I’d be willing to bear. I know it’ll be a long, hard road to recovery, but I’m here for you.

I got back into Pokemon recently, and I've grown attached to the Crown Zenith Pikachu to the point I'm looking to collect one from each language it was printed in... which I found out will be expensive thanks to it being a promo card in most of Asia.
Im so glad I pulled 2 Pikachu V's!! Now I can sell one at least and just buy more Scarlet and Violet Base im still trying to finish!! 🤣
Pikachu is my favorite Pokemon, and I collect them. However, I don’t go crazy where I think I’m going to get all of them. Just collecting what I like.
This is the way.
I started being a pikachu collector when the few cards that I had that were Pikachus skyrocketed so I revolved my collection around it.
I go to card shows all the time and Pikachu sells like crazy. Still a fan favorite and highly collectible. Almost every character in the set has been printed repeatedly since 1999.
It's not just collecting them all, but there is something that drives me crazy knowing I don't have a certain card in a set
I'm a eevelution card collector, and getting really close to finishing my main collection with 7 en cards and 12 jp cards left to get. when I get annoyed with high prices of eevee cards I look at the prices of Pikachu or Charizard cards to feel better.

When I first started, I wanted to be a Pikachu collector. I learned my lesson. Haha! Now I'm a Kingler collector!
I do collect pikachu cards I have about 200 different pikachu cards as of now between graded and raw

been collecting squirtles since i was a kid, also collect Kingdra, Crobat, Absol umbreon and Relicanth. recently added torkoal to my list as well!
When I decided to collect pikachus, I absolutely made the decision to only do ‘main set’ pikachus, not secret rares or promos 😅 and only English! Anything to at least try and keep the cost down 😅
Eevee card collector here though only English and I'm happy to say I'm up to date with each release. Chasing Japanese versions of any Pokémon can sometimes be costly and tough to track down.
Also love Chandelure and the whole Evolution line. Didn’t really think of collecting them all though, might be a nice challenge. Do love the Master Set collection now and then, just decided to start on the TWM one 😊

as a pikachu collector, i really enjoy the large amount of cards avaible. Always some new pikachu cards to explore and learn about
I went to Japan in 2015 but wasn't into Pokémon then. I went into a lot of resale shops where I constantly saw Poncho Pikachu plushies. Man, I wish I nabbed what I saw. They were dirt cheap. The cards for the most part were yet to be released.
I'm a Raichu collector, which definitely saves money, but usually ends up being in a lot of sets because of it's pre-evo. Finally pulled the trigger on graded 1st edition WOTC Raichu holos

Ho-Oh, Snorlax, Eevee and yes... Pikachu are my main collectible Pokémon... That said, I just get them as I find them, I don't put much effort into searching for them. They have a way of finding me though!

I am a Pikachu collector and honestly I am very surprised how many of my Pikachu have shot up in price. My biggest grail card is 20th anniversary Pikachu which I managed to get in a PSA 10. It is worth $10,000, but I got it 10 years ago for $100 bc it was a pretty card I wanted to add to my Pikachu collection. I never thought it would end up being worth that much.

I was never a specific Pokémon card collector, just whatever I thought looked cool or interesting. I got back into collecting in college when Black and White sets were first releasing and I think that's when I started organizing my cards numerically by set. I still haven't comepleted a set despite having several binders worth of cards lol. I picked up the Charizard Poncho Pikachu cards in 2017 just cuz I thought they were cute (never had any desire to collect Japanese cards but those were ones were too cute to pass on.) I'm thankful I got them when I did cuz they've skyrocketed so much I'd never would be able to get one now
Im a pikachu graded card collector. I have an abundance of all sorts of graded pikachus. I even collect them in Japanese.
I have a list of pokemon that i collect both actively and passively. Almost there on shaymin:) higher rarity cards i store by type. Holos and lower go with the binder for that set.

I collect pikachus but knowing that i will never get all cards still happy with over 800 different pika cards. Especially with all the prices of some cards. Mayby one day when i win the lottery.
I’m not a Pikachu “collector” but if I pull one it definitely gets put aside. The rat will always be relevent
I LOVE Psyduck and Gengar but i am only currently working on collecting every single Psyduck card. We also are trying to complete as many master sets as possible. I HAVE to have every single card 😅
I collect Tomokazu Komiya cards so it’s fun to have a binder full of derpy looking common and uncommon cards from them. The problem is running out of room for my binder after each set releases.

I really enjoy pikachu cards, but I don’t personally go after a single Pokémon. I separate cards in binders that are a part of the same generation (sv swsh etc.) but on top of that I have a binder full of English art rares from all generations as well as a yuka morii binder because I love her artwork. I also keep my cards I plan on grading in a very protected separate container.

I'm a collector of a few specific Pokemon:
-Unown
-Slugma and Magcargo
-Gastly and Haunter (NOT Gengar)
-Abra (and to a lesser extent Kadabra, but not Alakazam)
-Ekans and Arbok
-Lunatone
-Corviknight
-Horsea
-Crobat
-Houndoom
-Murkrow
I like Yveltal and Darkrai quite a bit, but I haven't decided whether I'm a "collector" of them or not yet. Maybe once I have completed my collection of the others?
Was a Pikachu collector since about 2013. Only missing about 40 high dollar Japanese cards, and will probably never get them 🙃🪦
My favorite Pikachu card of all time is the 15th anniversary full art card from the Japanese Pokemon Center box. The silver background with the Pikachu front and center just kicks butt .. 🤘

I began collecting Pikachu cards in 2002 right before reverse holo cards were introduced - my binder iz almost full in 2024 and I’m still missing the rainbow rare from Vivid Voltage 😢
Would love to be a Pikachu collector, and have a ton from the early days...but when you step away for awhile it's impossible to catch up, certainly at a price that still allows you to pay the rent!! When I returned in Sun & Moon, I was taken with Bewear, and decided since there were no cards earlier than S & M base, I would collect all his cards (English and Japanese). And there haven't been any for a couple years, but he returns in Night Wanderer, and our Shrouded Fable in about a month. Have continued to add one Pokemon or trainer with each new generation. Much easier when you can start such a collection on the ground floor.

I'm a Zapdos collector but I do have three rare Pikachus! I have a promo from when I was a kid for the Kids Rock America tour. I got a team skull pika graded. And my famous pika .. Zard X poncho pika PSA 10!
I have every Pikachu on this list. Danny missed the Beauty looking Back Pikachu promo which is over 300 bucks currently.
My favorite pokemons are Sceptile Arcanine and Gengar 😁

I did the secret rare pikachu buy out lmao it’s funny seeing it on someone else’s graph. I couldn’t understand seeing it at 6$. Naturally the graded went up though that wasn’t me
I did tell everyone I was doing it tho so it wasn’t a secret. Let me tell ya that 12$ is not and will not be the top 👍

I always wanted the Ray/shiny Ray pika cards, but only because Rayquaza has always been my favorite pokemon.

TCGPlayer doesn't show half of them. There's so many Pikachus that didn't get english releases.
I collect Eevee cards, much more cost effective. I have nearly all of them now except for the Japanese poncho wearing promos, those cards are pricey!

i try to collect pikachu there's definitely some rare ones i have and some amazing Japanese and other language promos. Will not touch the ponchos... so expensive and sealed forget it. I like ray, lugia, and dragonite to collect, also very hard 😂😅.

I have a huge binder that holds 1024 Pokemon so I decided to do a collection of my favorite Pokemon until I got the binder full it's about 25 Pokemon I had to pick out one of them was going to be Pikachu and then I looked up all the Pikachu cards now Pikachu and Raichu have their own binder and yes I'm trying to collect all the Pikachu and Raichu cards as well as the other 25
It's an ongoing task that's not going to be finished anytime soon I have another binder the same size and I'm trying to collect one of every Pokemon ever and that's almost done

I collect Totodile/Feraligatr, Rowlett/Decidueye, Charmander evo line, RayRay, Toxtricity, Kingambit, Hoopa, Raichu(I take him over pika anyday)
Rowlett is amazing!!! I loved playing Decicueye and the Rowlett line was by far the best in SM
