Looks like your knife needs to be sharpened it was a lot of work to get through that soft chicken. A knife salesman once proved to me that a dull knife was more dangerous to use then a sharp one because of the extra effort involved. And maybe a hard silicon pad to mount on the top of the knife to give your 2nd hand a better place to push on? Engineer here, I can never just leave it be when there is room for mods. you should make a video of the relation between the dog and you (how do you play with him, is it a trained dog, how is he helpful on your daily bases etc...)

Btw my family loves eating spinach like that. Might I make a suggestion, get some minced garlic and put a little olive oil in the pan, sauté the garlic and then add the spinach, it’s sooooo good. My 11 yr old son gobbles it up!

You need to suggest a modification on that awesome knife, a guard for the top of the blade to protect your left hand when cutting down.
