"How Hit Entertainment got their grubby little mits onto Fireman Sam" Sounds more perfect than it should, sad, yet hilarious LOL. Waiting for the next part feels like a child waiting for opening presents on Christmas day, another fantastic add on here!
Glad you enjoyed it. Not sure when part 4 will be up as it takes so much time, as I'm sure you understand. Glad you're enjoying the videos so far. I'm looking forward to your Fireman Sam videos too :)
The same year I was born in at 01:25. There was a video game as it had the voice of John Alderton. Horace Morris is also similar to Mrs Wicket from the animated Mr Bean. Bean, B.E.A.N. Bean! LOL.
It can go to show you don't always need more episodes or movies, as long as there's some good merchandise to keep everyone enjoying the franchise! I remember I had the old Fireman Sam computer game; it was so much fun! 😁 Might've had the stage show and a few audio cassettes, but I hardly remember.
Basil Steele is like Norris Steele in the pantomime cos I’ve noticed that in the CGI Series Norris has picked up Trevor’s old habit of eating all the time
Cheers for the call out mate mate and as Sam would probably say glad to be of service.. here’s something pretty amazing I can tell you about John Alderton- my mum met him and Pauline Collins on holiday in Spain in the early 80s.
@@bazbanter9329 no problem & yeah she liked meeting him and this was a good 5 years before Fireman Sam and around about the same time he voiced the Mr Men characters on Little Miss (1983 series) and she knew him at that time from Please Sir, Thomas and Sarah etc
I liked the two Basils at the start of the video - Basil Fawlty and Basil Steele. I was intrigued by your theory about whether the Children's TV Favourites 1987 VHS would have been the first time Fireman Sam was shown to the British public. I thought I would check the date when Children's TV Favourites VHS was released. According to Tempo Video wikia, they state the date of release was 23 November 1987 which was 6 days after The Kite was broadcast on BBC. Still not far off though.
I didn't know Victor Spinetti was Texas Pete until now but I know he was in the first 2 theatrical Beatles feature films and the TV movie Magical Mystery Tour.
Fun fact during this time, all young male actors were played by girls due to the shortness of male actors of the 1990s, and SAM is the LEAST enthusiastic actor here
The only difference between the three is voice acting: whilst Thomas & fireman Sam is done by one person,Postman Pat by series 2 they start casting more people.
Mrs Horace Morris is also similar to Miss Hubbard from Postman Pat but unlike Basil Steele who is kind honourable Miss Horace Morris and Wilton Cashmore are rude and nasty even Miss Hubbard can have her moments
Oh yes. Of course. Steele is much nicer than Wilton and Mrs Horace Morris He's strict and bossy but he's not horrid like they are. I just meant he's quite pompous and bossy
Don't be confused with the remastered versions since they have the Hit logo at the end, the first 4 seasons came out way before Hit Entertainment bought the rights to the show
What I mean is that the remastered versions have the Hit Entertainment logo at the end of the episode credits which is something that can confuse people thinking that the first 4 seasons were owned by Hit since the beginning, but in the original broadcast footage, it doesn't have the Hit logo at the end of the episode credits, that's how I can tell that the original 4 seasons are not owned by Hit before they bought & remastered them
@@alfiethenostalgiaboy2007 But Season 5 is owned by HIT Entertainment along with other shows like (Bob The Builder, Thomas The Tank Engine, The Wiggles and Barney) and do you mean like HIT Entertainment ripped off
