Farewell Cash! A Tribute to our Furry Friends. (Splice Video Music: Here and Ever, Emmanuel Jacob)

This video is a tribute to Cash and to the healing power of our furry friends.
The hardship of Timmy’s cancer journey was softened by the calming and entertaining presence of Cash and our younger more sprightly cats, Frankie, and Milo.
Cash came to us after being rescued from a farm property in Iowa. When his owner got sick and went on hospice, Cash was left alone in an outdoor kennel through all of the seasonal elements. Our prayers for money and our girls’ prayers for a dog were met when the German Shorthair Pointer Rescue Society delivered us a dog named Cash!
Prior to his arrival, Cash had never been indoors. He struggled to know where the windows ended and the outdoors began. Over time he grew very comfortable in our home and on the land surrounding us. As many of you know, he enjoyed long escapades, sometimes for days on end, into the woods behind our home and to nearby neighboring farmlands and even the local gravel pit! He was a very talented howler and could match the pitch of any saxophone or ukele cord.
As far as hospice care goes, I believe his second experience was far better than his first. Maybe we helped heal him too.
Cash won the hearts of many and will be sorely missed!
Death is as natural as life, and dying is as natural as living. Without one, the other cannot be. Our furry friends show us how to do this gracefully.
