- It has taken me a while to upload Timmy’s Memorial Video. It brings me to tears each time I watch it so it was rather emotional to pull it together.
This video is a 25 minute journey from diagnosis to death and everything in between.
It is a tribute to friends, family, neighbors, and the first rate care team at Froedtert Memorial Hospital who walked with us so many steps along the way. It takes a village to keep a family and farmstead running amidst a time like this. Your presence, and presents!, allowed us to keep our focus on Tim’s care. We THANK YOU and we LOVE YOU more than words can say!

He was, and still is, loved by so many. I felt connected to humankind viewing this . Our bodies are frail and our time is short, but one senses something beyond those limitations .
Yes indeed. I felt that too so much as I was preparing myself to release him on his final rite of passage. I felt him slip behind a veil that’s for his eyes only. I knew it was coming and then I felt it instantly when he exited his body. We treat life here as if it’s permanent and we mourn a death as if it’s a forever goodbye. I like the idea of death being a rite of passage as it somehow makes the hardship of this life that we all go through to one degree or another more bearable.

Kelly and the girls. Tim/dad was a modern day super hero. He fought with courage, grace, and strength. It was truly an amazing feat for all he had endured.

Me too. Every time. It’s strange how you can watch and re-live it over and over. Each time I do, I’m struck by how many times he smiled amidst the hardship. That gives me peace to see. He truly experienced each day as a gift of more time with those he loved.

What a beautiful family, beautiful community, beautiful tribute. Your music selections are perfect. You have shown such grace and love, and have honored Tim's unique and special life well. I don't know what happens after our bodies fail us, but I know we are more than our bodies. Some part of who we are will continue to exist and Tim will always live inside of you, your family, and all who knew him. He is also alive in the farm that you two dreamed, planned and labored into being. Each day as the sun rises on your beloved home and land - as you feed the chickens, work the soil, and harvest and prepare your food - it reflects Tim's presence in the world. Love those girls, feel all the feelings, and keep Tim's story going as you continue the beautiful life that you and Tim built together. May you find beauty and peace in each day.

Wow, Kelly I’m sure that was hard to make. Since I wasn’t here until after his passing, this was a great summary of what you all experienced during that time. And a nice introduction to Tim and something of him as a person. I’m so sorry your life together was shortened by a terrible disease. It appears you made the most of your time together as a family.
Thank you Christine. I’m glad you felt you got a sense for Tim as a person a little more. He was quite a likable gentle spirited guy with a lot of passion and persistence. I’m so thankful I had the wherewithal to snap these pics along the way so that I, and anyone else close to him who wants to, can remember him and the journey we all traveled together during this phase of his life. I shared it with his oncologist too. What a blessing that man was to us. He shot straight about his prognosis but always left room for determination and miracles…and leaned in hard to match Timmy’s will to survive.
I don't have another device until my husband gets home but I watched (watching) anyway. I'll watch again with music later. How are you doing Kelly?
Thank you for asking. I’m good. My big transition from driving to the office to working from home starting a business and farming and being full time mama begins Friday. I’m delighted for this shift. 💕✨

Question, how are your furry family members dealing with Timmy’s absence?
They are doing okay. The cats have been resorting back to pre-kitty litter trained days. I bought metal bins to replace the plastic and that’s helping a lot. Cash is living his final days I believe. He’s 15 and age is catching up with him a lot.
