Sas, your vlogs could go on for hours and we'd all love it! I found your stories and experiences so fascinating. Thank you so much for sharing. I hope you get grandpa, your aunts and uncles, your sweet mom, all on camera telling their stories for Future, Nico, Emma, and all the other littles that need to learn and keep their heritage alive. I find you, your culture, and your family so loving, kind, and generous. Thank you for sharing part of your life with us. Blessings

Yes! Everything you are sharing is 10000% true!!! I am Thai (isaan too) and I grew up in America. I am now 28 and have decided what/who to believe in. I pray everywhere I go and where ever I am or sleep. I’m always so careful when I’m Thailand bc my mom has gotten sick when she went and did not tell her parents (that are passed away). Her parents seems like to be asking why she was here in Thailand and bc they were asking, my mom literally was SO sick.

I love that Sas is getting more in touch with her culture and learning about her ancestors. How powerful the roots can run through the land. Im Samoan and surprisingly I recently found that we were inherited from Thailand. Samoans are the same way. We believe that our ancestors watches over and protect us.

Yes, I Love that you made this video to talk about ancestors, spirits, ghosts, etc..... In my Mexican culture, we believe the same in communicating and asking to receive. I myself am very connected with my grandparents spiritually. It's really a great feeling because I know they're around, and it feels good to me. What you're eating looks Fantastic ! I Love you and your sister and all the videos you both make. Very genuine and quality content. I've also learned so much from you both about traveling, which I Love very much 🥰🙏🌄💯💖🌹✨️🌿🌠🪷☘️✨️

We have the same thing in my Native American culture. We put out spirit plates when we eat and if we forget and the food drops, we say “someone wanted it” and we make a plate for them and put it outside. Our elders also pray over our food before eating.

So much comparison to our culture here in Hawaii. Never sleep with your feet facing the door because it is also a path way for our spirits. Also putting an offering and doing a chant when entering sacred land or even another property. Feeling sick if you don’t do these things. The experience your cousin tong had, my sister in law experienced as well….this is why I love your channel. I find so much things that are similar to our way of life here in Hawaii as native Hawaiians. There is So much Aloha (love) in your community it makes my heart melt. And to top it off you’re just a great person doing great things🥰❤️

I love these stories. I had very similar experiences like how the door to the window is a walkway I never knew that. I saw a man once walked in my room when I was sleeping and walked to the window I think I was just walking up. And I never thought about asking permission beforehand. When I visit my home with parents (home I grew up in) it seems to happen alot during the first few days. That's strange to me like the spirits don't recognize me or they're new spirits?

As a shamanism believer, we too believe in the other realm. I’ve heard stories of when my uncles go hunting, and none of them catch anything or killed any animals. I remember my grandfather saying that they are suppose to ask the mountain god if they are okay killing one of its animals. Even killing a pig, chicken, other animals, we thank them before killing them because of our offerings we do for ceremonies.

Yeah in the Vietnamese culture we believe sometimes spirits or ghosts sit on our chest while we’re sleeping on our backs. You’re awake but you can’t move or scream for help you can only open your eyes. I have asthma and a big fear of that so I’ve always slept on my sides for that reason. It’s happened to a lot of people. It’s like sleep paralysis I guess you can say in English. It’s scary 😩

For us, we don't invite "those" things so we don't mention it in the house and change the energy. lol. So maybe that's what Sis meant. my grandfather says, to an extent, we still have slight power over control so u don't mention it to give IT power (kinda like free will). I love it when u share these stories, it brings a bunch of us together through cultural similarities. PS, I love the long video. Hope you have more long ones too!!! Also, can u elaborate more on how to ask permission to sleep? Like can we ask through internalization? Or we gotta say it out loud? 😅 asking cuz I gotta travel for work soon again.

In the Philippines we call them "engkanto" and literally they almost get me as offering from my school when I was a kid. because that school that I go to was built in their property maybe. And every graduating student. literally yearly there is some kid who died for some reason. and in my year I'm the one who got sick and I literally dream of them getting me on a helicopter. Lucky me my grandparents are both albularyo(herb doctor) and both religious and I stayed in their house for a month and when I get hallucinations they hear noises in the roof and in my dream there's a hand who wants to get me getting in a helicopter. It's a little scary. I experienced a lot but that's the clearest to me.
