- The Daemons of Chaos under KHORNE the BLOOD GOD are a race who will become playable in Total War Warhammer 3. So 5 chaos factions, 4 god specific and undivided. They would all start in the chaos wastes and would spend most of the early/mid game fighting each other. The goal of each faction is to destroy the others. The god specific factions strengthen their inbuilt bonuses for each other chaos faction they destroy. Slannesh gets more move speed, armor piercing, vanguard for some units, maybe stalk. Tezench gets a larger wings of magic pool, recharge time, and reduced spell cool down. Nurgle gets more health, resistance to damage, regeneration for certain units, and maybe a bit of fire resistance. Khorne gets more weapon strength, melee attack, and frenzy for some units.Undivided doesn’t have any inbuilt bonuses, but does gain access to the units, building trees, heros, and lords of the chaos factions you beat.
Some other things they could do. Undivided gets a rite for each god upon beating that faction. The god specific factions could similarly unlock more rites as they go. Chaos armies of the various gods do pop up after their faction is destroyed to try and rebuild, giving you a chance to destroy them if a different faction beat you to it the first time. Chaos lords should also have loyalty, especially in the undivided. Slannesh could start chaos cults, similar to the skaven under empire or pirate coves.
Khorne could have a sacrifice mechanic similar to the cult of sotek. Nurgle spreads plagues like the skaven, and is really good at causing attrition damage. Maybe Tezench could have diplomacy like the high elves, but only to cause conflict.

Valkia the Bloody is described as Khorne's consort, so I like to imagine if they ever do get it on with eachother they do it in super vanilla and boring fashion just to piss off Slaanesh XD.

i am looking forward to the deamon armies and chaos divided so much, i mean deamon mantaray mounts, literally everything else! my hype train is strait up full on coal and fired up! next stop warhammer 3! :D
p.s. the one thing i hope they don't do is reuse the fightiness mechanic but rather have a bonus for constantly attacking rather then be punished for not attacking, fightiness and Bestial Rage are the reasons i don't play ork and beastmen since after a point i just get bored trying to make sure every army gets to fight to the point of only having one army or three tops since that is all you can bring to a single fight and just doomstack them all over the place but due to the rage mechanic i never get to that point, and as for the orks all that fightiness did for me is make me feel rushed to the point of attacking with a weak army and loss all of the time, the waaag! isn't enough of a reward since it is an ai fallower to your army that doesn't offer a whole lot compared to what a massive stat buff could have been(hell having units recover 90% +unbreakable +recruitment not tied to buildings i.e. in an enemy zone would be better then the whole waaag)
Have you tried the SFO grimmhammr mod? You may find more fun getin orky with its additions
I understand why it would suck with a “normal” faction like the Greenskins or Beastmen, but for an army devoted to the god of blood and death, I think there should be some kind of penalty for sitting on your ass for too long. The battle cry for the Khornate is literally, “Blood for the Blood God”.
I'm actually under the impression that the only reason Skarbrand was cast out was because of the way he did what he did. If skarbrand had come and fully challenged him, his punishment would not have been half as bad as it was.
Then again I'm not sure if this was before or after Khorne was crippled

I think its a possibility, but if we dont have an announcement in Q1 or early Q2 i think that window will rapidly close. there was about a 6-7 month gap from announcement to launch for wh2
I doubt it would be a true improvement over WH2 if they release it this early.
Here's a random campaign thought, what if demon units grew weaker or stronger depending on the strength of the WoM in their area, a feature not often noticed? Maybe, for the lowest WoM, they lose 5 MA and MD, and flip flop for strongest, with a spectrum In between?
My exact same thinking... I do believe we we see something like this when daemons arrive. :)
@Cody Dewan old post in retrospect lol but u misinterpret, i mean the strength of the winds on the map, affecting daemon performance directly. Tempest meaning at their best, calm winds of,magic in a region dampening daemons capability.

To be fair dow voice acting are a high bar for any game
so I thought of something. Like you said in the video Khorne doesn't use magic. But that doesn't mean he doesn't have it. Im actually really curious of what Khorne's magic would be like. I'm guessing he could do something like Alucard's level 0 from Helloing Ultimate.

Like Khorne is forced into a situation where he has to use magic so he slams his hands together calling forth a giant river of blood that turns into millions of undead calling forth those that have been murdered and those who have murdered. Tbh I'm not sure how I feel about an AoS TW. My main problem is that they are still adding new factions to the game, and changing the lore in pretty massive ways. Whilst this is also true to some extent for 40k, it is especially so for AoS. TWWH works so well because there is a completed and finished world there for them to create from, which is not true of the other Warhammer IPs. Something like the LotR however would be a much better fit.

Hey Indy, how about the Berserk mechanic from Norscan Berserkers? They even have a direct tie to Khorne in-game through the Brutes of the Hound. Do you think CA would consider implementing the Berserk mechanic for the Warriors of Khorne (It's quite funny that Norscans only have one unit with Berserk, something tells me they might explore that mechanic more, since the Warriors of Khorne are really just a step up from the Norscans)?
I wouldn't be surprised if they had a better versions of the beastmen rule a better version or berserk and a better version or murderous mastery just to make them THE malee faction

I hope we get some units from the norsemen like berserkers, hunters, and warshine. It would help flesh out the mortal followers of chaos. I don't want all of the units from the Norsemen, just a few. Hell, maybe give us a hung dlc later on. As for daemons, i think they gonna be recruitable because I can't see them being special event lock or a green knight feature. It would be terrible and to be honest, Creative Assembly knows that any screw ups would hurt them. They know that the warriors of chaos were incomplete from the beginning. I have high hopes, don't disappoint me or I'LL SACRIFICE YOU TO KHORNE MYSELF!! BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!!!!!!!!!
One critique: I love your videos, but im a newer warhammer fan (mostly play games for past few years). I’d love if your videos zoomed into or perhaps circled the demon which you are talking about when there are more than one on the page. Most of the time your narration (which I love!! You are a fantastic writer!) gives enough context clues. But sometimes its hard to tell which demon we’re talking about.

Speculation isn’t really the same as hyping, in this case it’s more of just a fun thought exercise for people interested in Warhammer’s lore and the TT game to wonder how the final remaining factions will be adapted. It’s not the same sort of thing as No Man’s Sky like unrealistic expectations and excitement in imagining the released game.

Yeah I guess I personally haven’t read enough about Chaos the have known that Khorne was more well known to the typical commoner than Tzeetch or Slaanesh.
He was talking about his battlecry, which I would agree has expanded into practically mainstream memory. I remember hearing "blood for the blood god" years before I got into warhammer, and from people who know nothing about warhammer.

Seeing all your chaos demon faction videos and really seeing their rosters for the 1st time...I find it really hard to pick a favorite. Their all so unique and crazy awesome. What's everyone's fav pantheon and army?
Right now I think I dig tzeentch the most with that sweet blue/gold motif and the most batshit crazy demons. I really like khornes aesthetic and lords...but the lack of magic makes me sad, I'm a sucker for cool over the top magic

He may not be the nost interesting, but I do find him compelling in his simplicity and honestly. He doesn’t care about tricking people into worshiping him. He doesn’t waste time in false promises. He just appeals to that natural urge to kill in man.

i gotta say the kaleb daark story explained khorn warriors perfectly for me... as the child kaleb hid behind a boulder he saw the warriors chop the head off his mother and drink the blood from her head, this hatred led him to worship malal... have you ever tasted blood? it taste like iron and acid, in a way it makes them as disgusting as nurgle, khorn warriors arnt these proud warriors, they are actually mindless disgusting creatures, i read somthing in 40k about khorn worshippers being literally blinded and deafened by the pumping of their own blood... followers of khorn are zombies, followers of tzeentch have a clearer head, followers of malal are less conflicted, followers of nurgle have more dignity, followers of slaneesh have more morals lol, its funny but its true... khorn is really really bad lol, they are the lowest of the low, no morals no dignity no clearity, none

When I think of warhammer when I first read it as a kid many years ago, two things pop in my head. The crazy twisted stories of the dark elves and the insane stories of what would otherwise be generic Chaos warriors. These badasses were not just some super buffed elite infantry, which they were, but they each also had a drive towards accention. and If I remember right, that played out with a unique mechanic that was constantly changing them, either punishing them for failure or blessing them with partial demonic forms for their victories. I dont know why the generic story of these troops caught me up so much, but I would be pretty salty if Khorne's Chaos Warriors were not unique among the factions. One of Khorne's faction mechanics should be that their base line (mortal) troops don't just level up in ranks like all the others, but instead actually develop crazy buffs in battle for kills earned, buffs that remain persistent. This could play out as smaller buffs to stat lines not so much unlike just ranking them up, to developing things like poison attacks, ect. The balance could easily be that the same mortal units would suffer crippling debufs if not out right death for losing fights and breaking. A fight against a Khorne army should be as terrifying as it gets, a brick wall of death slowly marching your way. However, the fight should also be filled with chaos itself, with a small chance that units organically morph as they win and lose mid battle. To be fair, I believe the magic chicken had something similar with his mages, but I think that was more punishing and there for balancing rather than as something to look forward to.
With all that said, it has been about 20 years since I read the books, maybe I am not remembering them correctly.

khorne is probably one of my favorite chaos gods in the setting, the estetic, the roster of units, everything. but i will admit his very straight forward style to battle will probably make for some long drawn out mash pits in terms of gameplay. obviously not all the time and with indypride on the wheel i expect some great use of units and gameplay all around. overall pretty hyped!

You know, for a god of battle, I don't think I've ever heard of khorne actually fighting beyond that bit at the beginning about beating up tzeentch

I want a final quest battle between Khorne and Slaanesh where its Shalaxi vs Skarbrand in a final epic confrontation to the death

Also, no mention of Khorgos Khul? Or the Khogoraths, which I think is going to be a likely candidate for a monster unit
those are Age of Sigmar units exclusively, its a different IP. they were not in the End Times or in WHFB, so we will not see them in this trilogy. If an Age of Sigmar Total War game ever gets made later down the line after Warhammer 3 is finished, they would be great additions to a Khorne roster

I have a question about Khorne and the Chaos Gods in general, for someone who knows their lore.
Who would Khorne prefer:
A Warrior who Fights to Please Khorne.
Or
A Warrior who Fights for the sake of Fighting.
Bassically a guy who keeps screaming "THIS BATTLE IS FOR YOU KHORNE" or something like that.
Or a Guy who screams: "REJOICE IN THE GLORY OF COMBAT." (Yeah that was a reference for all FFXIV guys out there...).

Khorne's armies are composed as follows: Melee infantry, more melee infantry, some melee cavalry, and so on. Khorne warriors don't rely on their armor to prevent getting hurt; they rely on killing their opponent before their opponent can kill them.
sooo chaos gods should be two sided like yes nurgle wants you to (insert something reallly disgusting here), but he wont let you die so you can bloom like a flower again, so you wont die but live happily ever after, but what is the positive side of khorne?i cant think of anything and havent found any good answers yet, people say courage for ex., but that seems shallow compared to other good chaos attributes.

I fear that we will only get one Deamons of Chaos army without Chaos Warriors or something cool as Khorngors and such. I hope I am wrong. Also the Warriors of Chaos need an overhaul. Maybe even Beastmen and Norsca. I find it wired when they just add a Deamons of Chaos army with all gods lumped together. But when they make all gods a different army which would be way cooler, the Warriors of Chaos army must change. Sigvald and the Lord of Change would just not fit anymore and also not Sigvalds Chaos Warrior regiment of renown.

Do you think we will get a trailer for warhammer 3 this year? I mean warhammer one was released in 2016 and the second in 2017, that was a quick development cycle. It’s been 3 years now with zero information for the next one. I hope at least a trailer if not released this year.

ironically, in the last edition of fantasy before AoS came around, weird balance meant that khorne had the best ranged capabilities (mostly through having the best slash only viable ranged unit in the book) of the chaos gods. Nurgle was the fastest, and slaanesh had the edge in both melee and magic. Tzeentch just sucked.
