Thank goodness they finally made a bag with the lighter color inside lining. Tomtoc bags are pretty good but was always a turn off to me with their black lining.
Can I just say, I really appreciate you including in your review that the bag can stay up on its own, I really believe that its a very underrated feature! And I wonder sir, does the bag tople over when the bag is standing and main compartment is open while the front zippered pockets are fully packed? Cause I currently have the Patagonia 32L Blackhole and I only discovered the annoying issue that the bag falls forward when the front compartments/quick access pockets are remotely packed hahah. If only this Tomtoc had a larger water bottle compartment, it would be perfect for me
Thank you for watching and definitely a tough choice! I might lean slightly towards the aer but I agree this might be a good candidate for a comparison!
This is a slightly cheaper Aer CPP. Just wish companies would stop making vertically accessed bags with horizontally oriented luggage pass through sleeves for rolling luggage.
Thank you for watching and I definitely agree on the luggage passthrough organization! So much better to use when the two are oriented in a similar manner!
Great video! 👍 I had a question about the actual bag's capacity. When looking at the official dimensions, it's about 24L, so it's pretty far from the advertised 30L (and from the AER Travel Pack 3 Small's 28L). Did you notice this in real life? 🤔
Yes, strangely, the dimensions are a shade smaller than the AER City pack pro, which is marketed as a 24L bag. The website mentions a 30L capacity, the card on the bag mentions it as 28L, and the dimensions seem to indicate 24L. It's not bad for a 24L bag, but its a shame that they would claim it's a 30L capacity vs 30L volume.
This bag is high on my list. I have a 26oz yeti, wondering if that will fit in the water pocket inside. Bummed the 26 oz doesnt fit on the outside pocket.
I love bags that have contrasting linings, but... that's a _lot_ of really bright orange. lol. Something like a light blue or gray would've been a less slap-you-in-the-eyeballs choice. But tons of other smart choices, surprising from one of those import brands you only ever see on Amazon. Really nice looking bag overall. BTW, really love your channel, Danny! Only recently discovered your videos and they've been great as I've been bag shopping (recently picked up an Osprey Comet 30 as a carry-on travel partner to my ancient EDC workhorse, a Tom Bihn shoulder bag). Keep up the great work, your format and approach are excellent.
Thank you for watching and for the support! Both are solid options, for me I still prefer the layout of the travel pack 3. The travel pack 3 small is great for more minimal travel and daily use and the regular one is great for carryon on travel and this tomtoc bag is good if you’re looking for an in between option
I was looking at the patagonia mini mlc 30L. But this looks like a good contender! What would you recommend between the patagonia and this one? I want to use it as a work backpack but also pack it with gym clothes sometimes or when I need a personal item when traveling. What would you recommend? Thanks!
after spending roughly past 3 weeks looking for new travel backpack luckily you are the only one ive found to review this bag
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful!
@@dannypacks This bag ticks all the boxes. The AER TP3 small is heavier. Do you think it's worth it spending 199 on a Tomtoc backpack?
Thank goodness they finally made a bag with the lighter color inside lining. Tomtoc bags are pretty good but was always a turn off to me with their black lining.
Thank you for watching and definitely great to see some of the new designs they are coming out with!
Thanks for doing this review. i’m intrigued. Would you know if this would fit underneath a standard airline seat?
Wow this is a really well thought out bag.
Thank you for watching! Definitely a great bag to use
Can you do comparison with Aer travel pack 3 small?…thanks!
Looks like a good sized bag for the budget airlines for minimal travel..
Thank you for watching and definitely a solid option!

This bag is super intriguing. I’m digging the design a lot
Thank you for watching! Definitely a cool bag!:)
Which one would you recommend this one or the Aer Travel Pack 3 small? Or maybe you can make a comparison video.

Hello, i have just ordered the tomtoc 40L traveler bag...i reallt wish it had the newer logo that is more subtle and stylish
Thank you for watching! I agree the logo update would have been nice and I hope you enjoy using the bag a lot!
@@dannypacks it should arrive tomorrrow then i can start packing. Thanks a lot

Orange is my favorite IRL color, but for bag linings I'm sorta over them now lol.
@@jonuiuc right? I was watching the video and was like, "oh the admin pockets are orange, that's ni... omg the whole thing"
Honestly orange liners are awesome. Black outside, orange inside, its an amazing combo.
great stuff!!
also looking forward for the tomtoc vintpack!!
Thank you for watching and will definitely be checking that one out soon as well!:)
I really like your videos! Which bag would you recommend for a student this bag or aer travel pack 3?
Thank you for watching and for the support! Both are solid options, for me I still prefer the layout of the travel pack 3. Sorta looks like a A19er Whitley or a Recycled Firefighter Chief.
Thank you for watching and those are good call outs, I can definitely some resemblance with those and a few others as well!

What did you end up going with? I’ve pretty much got the same use cases as you and I’m in the same position right now.
Great video, how did you like this bag compared to the LTT bag?
Thank you for watching! Both are solid options but I prefer the size and layout of this bag
Is the little wallet looking item included with the bag or sold separately?
Time: 6:41
Thank you for watching! That is the tomtocs passport wallet which is sold separately
@@dannypacks thank you so much!
Would this work as an actual bookbag? Could I put my I-ad and school books in it?
Thank you for watching! I think it could work well as a book bag with the comfort and space it has
@@dannypacks thanks!
Looking into Pytech onemso 2 as a travel bag option 35/45 l, 269 eur😮
Thank you for watching and that one sounds pretty interesting as well!
The straps look rather beefy
Thank you for watching and definitely some robust straps on this one!
How much does it cost
