I am now 72yrs old but when my girls ( 5)were all teenagers, I asked them to not fight on Mothers Day, they fought all the way to church, during, and on the way home. I was so upset that I took a blanket and went across the street to the school across the street with a book. I had just sat down and started reading and of course the sprinklers all came on. I started screaming and then gave up and just laid back down covered my book up and got so drenched. My girls and my husband ran over to save me and thought their mom had lost her mind. Good times❤❤

Happy Mothers' Day to all! I'm calling it my 3rd "Quiltaversary". 3 years ago on Mothers' Day I was peeved at the lack of enthusiasm by my husband and son ( still living with us), and had to heard from my geographically distant daughters. So, with my "knickers in a twist" I went to our spare bedroom and pulled out my machine and a batik jelly roll. I watched Cindi's Jelly Roll Race video a couple of times, and k knocked out my first "real" quilt. My friend Deb, had me send it to her and she brought it to her longarmer, and sent it back. Then a couple of said family members proceeded to argue over who would get it! But I've never looked back! 2 retreats, a couple of more seeing machines, some brief longarm lessons later, I proudly call myself a QUILTER! Thanks Cindi, Brianna, and the gang for all you have taught and all the joy you have brought us all!
Hopscotch. Played it while we waited for our school bus. Best token was the foil wrapper from a Ding Dong.Hope you had fun planting today. Happy Mother’s Day 🌸.
So funny!!! I cried laughing!!! I knew something was up since it’s very unlikely Brianna was ‘cold’ on just ONE side. The position of it was a little funky too. Loved playing marbles and hopscotch growing up!

Briana don't be embarrassed... I went back and watched it again because with my first viewing ... I saw it but I kind of didn't and then I HAD to re-watch SINCE IT WAS BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION 😳🤣😳🤣. The "THREAD" was moving around. So, without knowing it was thread it was CLEAR that either you were from another planet, or YOU ARE TALENTED! Loved when you were talking about making notes as to what you were going to use fabric for. Hubby and I visited our daughter in Hawaii maybe 5 years ago and fell in love with a piece of fabric. I can remember vividly saying "wouldn't this piece look good for" and that's all I can remember. To this day it's in my stash because...
the phantom nip was a little off kilter, so I figured it out. With Maizie still at the age to be held she could have pinched the fabric, so I figured it was that. lol How funny. you guys are fabulous, my favotite thing you do is throw back your heads and just howl with laughter. It makes me so happy to see a mother and daughter like that. I haver a story sort of like that. I had an inhome day care, but one day a week I would drive to lynnwood and go to Bingo with my sister-in-law/friemd/ So I threw on a knit sweater and drove on down but not before getting hugs from every single kid . I got there and my friend looked at my chest area and said "OH thats such a pretty broken Jade bar pin."
I thought what????? I looked down to see a thick, dark green bar of snot, from one of my good bye kisses, theymust have skidded heir juicy nose across the knit so it looked just like broken jade chips. I ran into the bathroom and chipped it offf with my fingernails and washed my hands like I was going tto do surgery . My friend was snickering and blew h er coffee across the table when she tried to tell her mom or who ever it was that came with her. Didn't phase me, I never left thehouse with out changing my jeans or pants because those juicy noses and stickty fingers were always hugging my legs, but I didn't think of the upper region that night.

Brianna is the only person that I must listen to at normal speed so that I can understand her!! Most videos I listen at 1.25 or 1.50 speed.

I played marbles!'I am a 50s! And jump rope and hop scotch and red rover, and kick ball ,etc. ...
My most humbling moment was when i was going to teach my grands how to play hopscotch.....i did remember the pattern to draw on the sidewalk. Found the perfect flat rock. Only to find....i could no longer HOP!!!😂

Oh my goodness! Loose buttons might make the trip from Iowa to Washington worth the trip. In fact, I’m planning my trip right now. When I first learned to sew, years ago, I made my own clothes. I would pick out my fabric and pattern and then stand for hours going through the little drawers picking out just the right buttons. I looove buttons, but buttons on cards just don’t cut it 😊 Loose buttons have my heart and yes, I sorted through my grandma’s button box all the time as a kid.
I’m leaving for Iowa from Washington this week!

I have a funny. Story, my family and I was enjoying sitting around the fire pit, I got up and bent over to stir the fire. Did not realize a firefly flew into my blouse. When I stood up the firefly was blinking and glowing. We all cracked up laughing to see my boob flashing .
I just found some old fossil fern had to be from 1999 or there about because... it was in with some 2000 fabric

Brianna, hysterical. If it were a nipple, there is no need to apologize. It happens. We are women and have breasts. We can’t hide them and should not be made to feel bad for having them, whatever size they are!
