I know this is not the Ray Charles of Song but I know this Orchestra as well. I don't know how you do it but this is beautiful. I remember them from the 60s. It was period when this type of sound was soooo cool. Like Bossa Nova but not. Just fresh, wispy and really cool. Thanks Ooooo. You have taste for a person with my taste! : )
Yeah, this a great Brazilian song , music by Baden Powell --- lyrics-- by Vinicius de Moraes. By the way, Vinicius is the author of the original lyrics of Garota de Ipanema, in Portuguese
+hankgwe; I had (and STILL have) a very... eclectic record collection growing up (a lot from radio stations, so sing titles would be backed out to make it easier for a DJ to play the track they wanted (imagine that; not pre-programmed cr-p). Due to me... being, yes, lazy, I've not hooked up my stereo, so I can't listen to them, and THIS is one album I've wanted to hear. Thank you!
Let Go ! Is Canto de Ossanha by Vinicius de Moraes and Baden Powell. This is a terrific version! (Ossanha is kind of like a spiritual deity that helps/hinders those desperate in love).
