Obviously works of profound genius, how on earth does he do it?

The John Cage music blends beautifully with the images...

Mark G Connors , and oddly as precise as the paintings fit his music.

I prefer a more direct view on each painting and a bit longer view on the total before moving into detail -

Replicating nature. Just as the surface of a lake ‘works’ or as the waves roll in or as the giant tree stands. Each small area works as does the whole, in harmony, not out of place. Continuous and yet contained. This art strives to do, and succeeds in doing, what nature does everywhere all the time, effortlessly.

That's a lot of hot air to expend on such lukewarm art.

That’s a bit harsh, considering people write entire books on the subject!

His entire career has relied on technique over artistic talent, which has always taken precedent. Much to the detriment of the finished product. That's not to say that every last work is bad. Some of it shows a glint of brilliance but those are the exceptions, not the rule. His most recent method of dragging a 4 foot squeegee across the canvas is a complete failure of both technique and results. Muddy and indistinct flattened blobs with no purpose, or visual integrity other than all having the appearance of raked sludge. They're somber and depressing...lifeless, devoid of intellect or provocation.

You might define what you mean by 'Artistic talent'?!
'Not all of Ritcher's work is bad'
      How very gracious you are!!
