Good luck with the channel Andy. Your video came up on my page, as i'm interested in car/van camping. Just gotta get the time to do it. Ps: I drive a skoda rapid as a taxi, Well serviced, currently over 200k miles. Previous Skoda octavia was 330k. These are bulletproof if serviced regular. (both diesels)
I've just bought a 59 plate Roomster 1.4 diesel and I thought it would be under powered but seems fine and getting 50+ mpg around hilly North Devon roads.
Love that you've created this channel! I have a Skoda Yeti and like many Yeti owners I'm a bit obsessed with it. Even more so since managing to walk away from a horrible car crash recently (in my opinion in no small part because the Yeti is such a safe car with multiple airbags - all of which deployed). And no sadly I don't have that Yeti anymore as it was written off...but I managed to get another within about 3 weeks ....anywho...back to you and the channel ! Please do keep going! I've recently got hold of a Kampa tailgater and started a very basic car camper conversion. As the Roomster and Yeti are so similar I've already picked up some good ideas from you so many many thanks! I used the tailgate tent on the Yeti at a recent festival in Wales and slept in the car as you and your wife do on a very basic bed (camping pads so far) and it was excellent 👌🏻 Hope to do a basic build out soon however and will copy your design as it's fabulous! Where did you get your foam from? All best wishes to you and your wife and happy camping 🏕️🥾🎉
Thanks Sarah! Really appreciate your comment and hope you're on the mend? Keep me posted on the new vehicle and the fit out. The Yeti is a great car and if we would have had the budget its the one we would have gone for. Thanks again and our best wishes x
