Digi Roots Dub

It's been a while...
First dub of 2023 for me. A little roots vibe inna digital stylee. Elektron Analog Heat on the filter in parallel mode with a little stereo offset being controlled by an EHX 8 Step cv sequencer to make the filter stepped. Strymon Volante on the echo. Benidub Spring Amp II for the reverb driving a 2 spring short decay tank by MOD Electronics.

When it comes to my knowledge and understanding of music production, I'm still a novice, and it's always fun to learn new things. I've never actually seen someone produce a track by looping channels and focusing entirely on micromanaging the sliders. Pretty cool! I'd imagine it can be quite difficult to keep track of what sounds each channel corresponds to, as some of those channels seem quite subtle.

This is dub mixing, it’s generally remixing a song buy bringing tracks in and out with effects. Some songs are created by the producer specifically to dub and other times is a remix of a song, you can find examples of that on my page, any of the dubs with vocals are remixes. I generally try to consolidate the channels somewhat by combining certain tracks. This one was sort of minimal and not a problem to remember what sounds were on which channels.
