- We begin a new series aimed at new Super Pocket owners that are interested in Evercade but are not sure which carts to collect. This is part one checking out Carts 1 to 5 from the red label. The red label is specifically console games only.
In this series we will aim to check through the Evercade carts and highlight any issues/compatibility with the Super Pocket devices. Not every game will suit these handhelds, so hopefully this guide will help you choose which carts are suitable for you!

Great idea for a new series and enjoyed revisiting the old carts. Keep up the awesome work!
As a newcomer to Evercade thanks to the Super Pocket: thanks so much for this series! When you get to the Atari Lynx Collection 1, pay special attention to its version of Basketbrawl, because that is the only game I've tried (granted I only have 3 carts) that has problems. During gameplay the graphics randomly glitch and your character gets stuck, so it's almost unplayable.

Love side pocket even though it is so so difficult. Also midnight resistance is quality as well, amazing music. Need to dig that cart out again.
Yeah that Data East cart was definitely an early favourite. Still an excellent cart to pick up.

Loving this series already! Perfect for me as an Evercade newbie owning the Capcom Edition Super Pocket. My first cartridge is on the way (Renovation Collection 1). Data East Collection 1 is on my top 5 list. One of the next purchases for sure. Looking forward to Duke Nukem Collection 1.
Good choice with Renovation, definitely a must have cart for Evercade, I'm assuming it should work just as well on the Super Pocket
@@CrazyBurger Thanks! Yeah, I guess/hope it should work well. There is no Tate game on it. That ought to help alot. Imo they shouldn't have included so many tate games on the Capcom Edition. The screen is to small for that. Stretching it out kinda destroys the feel of the games. Now I'm really looking forward to get an EXP. Would love to play the tate games in tate mode on the EXP!
BTW: is it just me or is the difficulty setting of Street Fighter (even on easy mode) quite high? Actually I am pretty good at it but can't beat more than 2 opponents on the Super Pocket 😅
@@zeitgeist1977sk8 lol no its not just you.. the version of Street Fighter included is Hyper Fighting which is probably the toughest version released. I'm useless at it.

You should also look into getting Piko Collection 1 while it's still cheap, it's widely considered to be one of the best Evercade carts and it's still retail price at Video Games Plus...I just can't stop playing Drakkhen on it on my Super Pocket!

Super Pocket has been a real surprise, a decent screen, and for certain games (looking at you Bubble Bobble) the perfect device
Yeah I'm quite surprised myself. Definitely some games just seem to feel better and a perfect fit for the smaller device.

Love your content Crazy Burger thank you. My take is that you have to make a financial investment in these cartridges-so why would you “cheap out” and buy this inferior performing smaller handheld? Get the EXP and buy fewer carts until you can afford more.
It's aimed at a very different market. Certainly been a lot that just are not interested in Evercade yet are interested in the Super Pockets. I think both have their benefits. Certainly if you are serious about Evercade and cart collecting then the EXP or the VS is the way to go. But think many are just happy to pick up the cheaper device and maybe but 1 or 2 carts and that's it.

Ah carts 6 to 10 are next. Tomorrow's vid. Lynx will be probably on Monday.. Carts 11 to 15...
Yep, this is the series I was waiting for. Little question though. How, if at all, does the multiple game options work on the Atari Collection?
(like in Air-Sea Battle, you can configure what type of layout you want whether it's submarines or airplanes or etc)
I have Atari 50, and you can just do so via the options before you start up a game, so I'm curious if any option is readily available on Evercade/Super Pocket.
It's actually very simple.. you press the select button to choose your game layout, then press start.. blast away by pressing A.
Side note.. the super pocket is actually very good if you love Atari old school games. They seem to fit the device perfectly. But I'm aware not all will love them.. and admittedly a few of the games have dated badly.

I find I'm having problems with Food Fight (4:06). CB only went straight. Food Fight is a game you definitely need to utilize diagonal movement, and when I move the D-pad in a circular fashion, my guy gets stuck between diagonal and N/S or E/W. This doesn't happen on my original handheld and my EXP (I don't have a VS). Is anyone else experiencing this, or might I have a defective unit?
Hi. Apologies for the delay.. I've tried the game again and don't experience any issues that you are describing. I've definitely experienced an occasional issue with diagonals in some games but was only momentarily. I'd say your device could be faulty. Probably best to contact support@hypermegatech.com

Do you have the Piko Collection with the Action RPGs on it like "the immportal". i would like to know if you can read the text on the small thing. On my Capcom Version there was one game with Story text and i couldnt read it but it doesnt matter for action games.
And do you have the delphine Collection with Another world? Is it possible to see the small things on the ground like the worm which cann kill you?
I'll get to those soon.. I'd say Delphine is good on the pockets. Point n clicks are a nightmare but the other 2 games are fine.
Why Atari collection 1 doesn’t work on my taiko super pocket? do I have to update first?
It work on my original ecpvercade though.
