I made a homemade quilling tool with an unsharpened pencil and masking tape. My hubby cut the slot using my scrollsaw. We didn't trust my skills with exact knife. It works great! ❤️

Hi Jennifer, I am having a difficult time when I added the 3" flat Ornament box that I got off of Etsy. The videos I keep seeing on UA-cam are the "How to assemble" boxes. I know how to assemble. I just need to know the measurements on Cricut before printing. I keep wasting the 100 lb. Cardstock and I am wasting money here. I have the Maker.

The biggest piece of advice I have, Johanna, is to be patient, and do it slowly! I can roll flowers quickly only because I have made so many, and done it for so long! Be kind to yourself - paper flowers are very forgiving, and look wonderful, even though we may think they don't! 😉🥰

It depends on the project, for this a thicker paper might not roll up as easily.

I recommend an 8" wide cut on the mat, and that will produce a flower about 3" wide. Go smaller if you want a smaller flower.
What kind is paper do you use card stock?
