King's rock only give flinch chance to moves that already have flinch chance, so the chance of it attacking through is 40% times the accuracy of the rock move it was going to use
@@xaropevic7918 That's not true. It gives fly a 11.7% chance to flinch in Gen2. Bite cannot proc king's rock in any Generation. In fact, gen 5 onwards it speccifically DOESN'T work with moves that can already flinch.
3 confusion hits in a row, (1/8 odds) followed by two consecutive critical hits, (0.39% chance) followed by a confuse ray on the switch, and just to rub extra salt in the wound, a kings rock flinch after that. (10% chance) Without taking the odds of the confuse ray on the switch into account, or the fact that Fly is a 95% accurate move, assuming my math is correct, this exact battle had a 0.00488281% chance of mathematically happening. Dear lord, there’s bad luck, and then there’s this. I would just quit for the day after a battle like this.
I thought the crit at 1:53 didn't matter since it was so little damage. Then I thought, well, battles are won and lost by 1 HP, and this is Werster. Then you theorized that Crobat only went for Fly because of the crit and I have to admit I laughed a bit.
The rentals in most early Pokémon games were just half hazardly slapped together. Especially in the Stadium games. That's why you see Werster using unevolved pokes a lot, because the fully evolved ones don't get good moves
Because the items available without a gameboy game connected is shit that is the only choice for HP recovery at all. Werster thinks that 10 HP helps so he uses it.
The rentals he chooses (except for Challenge Cups) don’t come with the items; he adds them himself. And the only items you can put on rentals are Berry, and the status-healing berries except miracleberry. So as the other person said, Werster put the berry to avoid a range(s) somewhere, someplace in the cups he uses this team for. Can’t say I know which ones though. Maybe it helps a bad case scenario Starmie vs Starmie in fight 8?

How the hell are you looking that that and saying Electric?!

Once again, a crobat manages to obliterated Werster with hax.
That’s why we call it the crobat of bullshit 😆
Crolab to be exact.
My blood compels me
The broadcaster was murdering Werster throughout too

I expected the classic Werster, but man, the final flinch was too much to take
Couldn't stop laughing
He had already taken considerable damage

I really wish there was another Pokemon game where the npcs had this level of strategy, Switching, Using Cheap Strategies, it seems just so fun.
They need to make a modern version of Stadium with the same rules(6 pick 3) and modern pokemon
3:21 onwards sounds like he’s either opening a snack bar or frantically pressing every button on his controller.
He talks a couple seconds after that, and his voice sounds muffled. Must have been an anger snack.
The Crobat of Bullshit 2.0
We are already at minimum 3.0 mate
Nah I think it’s now the crobat of utter bollocks 😏
literally every turn. even for you thats new
I love how Werster's trademark "OH MY GOD!" got more and more emphatic as the fight progressed, eventually peaking at that Crobat flinch 🤣

Hold up, Fly can flinch?
Edit : no it can't, Crobat had a king's rock or something?
Most likely case
I was thinking the same thing. I forgot that Pokemon in this game can sometimes hold items.
What are the odds of graveler even breaking through then? Confusion plus bite flinch and kings rock?

He's a scientist. He clearly calculated the flinch. 😎

The camera turns red when Werster is angry.
3:10 Wait, did he say "confuse ray on 106" as in because Hitmonlee is number 106?
He meant Starmie's health which was at 106 (before the berry healed it to 116) and I'm guessing the crobat decided its next move based on that number
