My final battle with this guy was my Steelix vs his Steelix. It was the most intense stalemate of my video gaming life. He hit my Steelix with Earthquake, and survived a critical hit with 2 HP, so I spammed Mud-Slap until I ran out. He kept using Harden, and then I kept using Dig, he kept using Earthquake and Magnitude and kept missing, then kept using Iron Tail. And after 30 minutes, he was beaten.
This is an absolutely hellish team for Travis to have, Snorlax, Steelix, Tentacruel, Jolteon, Jynx? His Scyther is also relevant because the AI really doesn't like to use it due it its million weaknesses and low base power moves, so it makes those 5 even more relevant lol.

Yup but it also showed how dependant on RNG you have to be in this Challenge Cup. Reason why I hated this mode: shitty ass movesets (Harden on Heracross, come on), can't freely choose your team and the AI tricks you to oblivion.
Quick Claw and Focus Band are annoying as hell because the odds are so low of it actually doing anything you'd be crazy to use them but they can absolutely win games with luck
hard to assess, actually. Execution-wise, it is absolutely not difficult as all you have to do is select moves (and you have a lot of time for that actually as you have to wait for the AI to select their move anyways). But when it comes to decision-making, there is a LOT of things you need to account for. Stats, damage ranges, assuming movesets and enemy-stats based on the limited information you get. And I'd say, all those things make this actually a surprisingly challenging speedrun-category.
Also, most categories are really damn long, and lots of luck is involved, so it requires a ton of free time, stamina and patience to get good runs. Werster is the only runner I know of who runs the Stadium games regularly.
@@kemosonicfan123lbp but if he Disabled after the burn it would cause chip damage on the Snorlax and then the next turn it would have to pick a weaker move.

Snorlax is a beast but Lugia has titanic defenses, mew and mewtwo have submission which destroys snorlax. Mew's sword dance set is the best in generation 2. Snorlax is the best pokemon by far in OU.
@@robertolozano2502 1°: Submission is an AWFUL move most Mew don't bother with, specially with so many psychics and fliers, so it's better to just stick with quakeslide most of the time. 2°: Stall is not very good in ubers due to the max EVs system enabling a lot of setup and explosion being at full power.
