Project Racing Green is my 1989 Rover Mini Racing Green that has had an official John Cooper conversion fitted by John Cooper Garages. The standard 998cc engine is boosted from 41BHP to 60BHP thanks to the engine upgrades. The upgrades include a polished and ported Cylinder head with enlarged valves, LCB exhaust system, Roller tip rockers, and Twin HS2 SU Carburettors. The interior enhancements include walnut door cappings, walnut dashboard, alloy door furniture, and luxurious John Cooper emblem full leather GTS recliner seats.

I think it's a good idea to sand off the paint where it's welded and polish off impurities in the weld before painting..
Good tip. I couldn't understand why the paint was coming away near the weld, but like you say, it must be the impurities in the weld
Great work as always! Happy Christmas to you and yours!
Thanks, Merry Christmas
Hi keith
What bearing tool did you use for the wheel bearings?
Happy Christmas Keith. Did your rear wheel bearings torque up ok and did that nice gold grease gap just tap into the hub just nicely??
No, I had to back off about 3/4 of a turn. The grease was spot on to be fair
If you buy from Rimmer brothers you can get rover part genuine rubber parts and they last ok, the rubber parts mini spares sell is cheap and from India I have this problem motor cycle parts too.
Thanks, I must give them a try!
India is one of the biggest producers of natural rubber.
Maybe nature isn't our best friend when it comes to Mini's ?! 😁
No elf costume this year,lol.
I've out grown it LOL
