I just returned to chaos magick after about a 10 year hiatus. I didn't think of the social political situation that birthed Chaos Magick in the first place, but thinking about my situation now...I'm a South African and in this post covid world, we are experiencing extreme political uproar and black outs. Funny how the more things change...
You a Brit, mate? I think you are but I'm just curious I guess. I was thinking about synchronicity and Jung. Meaningful coincidences? Could you cover that too. Is Jung also talking about what we call déjà vu and pre-cognation and ESP and things if this sort, because it wasn't clear to me( btw I only heard a small audiobook about this on YT and don't know anything more about Synchronicity. Chaos Magic isn't Synchronicity by any chance is it?)?
Jack, yes, I grew up in England but I've lived in the USA for a couple of decades. Chaos Magic could definitely be said to aim at creating synchronicities. I'm not sure if Jung would feel that synchronicities could be consciously created but that is essentially the aim of Chaos Magic, in many respects. I will definitely think about making a video on that subject. Thanks for the suggestion. :)
forgotten ? that didn't take long . in the 70's we were the sick man of Europe ,and if you look how much of an up lift we had while being members of the EU , now we slide backwards in to the decline . A time for spiritual renewal .Pagan rising . Any denomination will do.
It didn't take long. But no one talks about these, more interesting, elements of early Chaos Magic writings now. And, yes, Britain was the sick man of Europe during the 1970s (with frequent strikes (include the fire brigade and rubbish collectors) and frequent blackouts but that had all changed entirely by the 1980s, if not by the end of the '70s.
Why isn't it that anyone gives any credit to the true first person who revealed chaos magic as it known today one Mr. Austin Osman Spare. Look into it.
I'm sure I've mentioned Spare in a video before, and Spare is also mentioned in Psychonaut. He's also not the obscure figure he was a few decades ago. I wouldn't say he invented or revealed Chaos Magic, however. He created sigil magic, which was later incorporated into Chaos Magic. And it's really through his adoption into Chaos Magic (e.g., Psychonaut) that he became a well-known figure in the occult.
God bless you Angel. I find your talks clear, easy to understand and very interesting.
That is great to hear, Daniel! Thank you. :)
May we survive this calling. May The One save all of us. I appreciate your work, Brother.
Thank you, Jayme. And, yes, may we survive this calling.
Really enjoyed this, thank you.
Very interesting the way you described the socio-political context of the times when “chaos magick” appeared.
Thanks, Alberto!
Thanks, very informative. Those blackouts must have been scary. Subbing
Perhaps.

Could you make some content on Aleister Crowley's Magick or more on Guénon and the Traditionalist School, would really like to see that.
Noah, I will definitely try to do that.
May i ask something ? If you have the time ?
Sure.
