With the massive amount of crime in LA, which includes theft of vehicles and car jackings how do these folks get by cruising around in all those expensive cars and not fall victim? Seems odd to me based on the data I've seen from LA lately.

Crime is a problem but... not as much in the areas on the West side where the rich live. The homeless stick to the urban and downtown areas where you have lower to mid working class people. And people will track a Lambo or AMG quicker than a Hyundai ..

What i don't get about LA is that in some cases it's really nice (Bevery Hills) nice clean sidewalks good amount of grenery. But at some places trash is on the street, the sidewalk is damaged ect. Seems like The parts you want to see are nice but the parts you don't see are below average.
That is America in a nutshell. What they want you to see as a tourist is clean, everything else is not worth a bother. They pull the same strategy in North Korea.
