    It's very simple, remember the CLEAR rule.
    C- Capital
    L- Liabilities
    E- Expenses
    A- Assets
    R- Revenue
    If the vowels (A,E) increase Dr. Decrease cr.
    If consonant (C, L, R) increase cr. Decrease Dr.

    *18:01* There is a small mistake...when goods worth 15000 are sold,the two accounts involved are sales A/c and *Debtor* A/c..because there is no mention of payment made by cheque/cash...in that case it becomes a credit transaction.So,though it will be asset a/c,but the type of asset will be debtor not cash.

    • @TutorsTips

      if the payment term is not mentioned in the question then we will assume it as a cash transaction. It is a basic assumption for grade 11th students.
      and it is only assumption okay.

    Plss help sir...when we transfer profit to capital account then profit is debited and capital is credited but capital is personal ac and he is recieving the amount ...then capital ac should be debited and p&l is credited according to golden rule debit the reciever and credit the giver ...but here is reverse entry why ?

    • @TutorsTips
      @TutorsTips  Рік тому +1

      no betta …
      owner didn’t received anything..
      so now representatives person rule will be applicable…
      means wo ham owner ko only credit de rahe hai .. jo uss ka cash banta hai wo nahi diya means uss cash business use ker raha hai.. is liye use credit ker rahe hai…
      app isr 2 journal entries dal ker samaj sakte ho.
      Drawings a/c Dr.
      To Cash A/c
      Cash A/c
      To capital a/c
      now cash a/c cross na aya hai na geya hai so
      p/l dr.
      to capital
      entry aa jatti hai

      Betta assets rules kya hai… debit increase in asset and credit decreases in assets..
      in simple words debit means hamara fayada credit means hamara nuksan… bank balance increases hoga means hamara fayada huya na so debit kerna hai.. okay

    Sir, modern rule aur golden rule apas me relate nhi hote kya, jese liability-personal acc/s hai(by golden rule) aur by modern rule - liability badhti h to Credit aur ghat ti h to credit ye modern rule aur golden rule apas me sahi se relate nhi horhe....please explain me

    • @TutorsTips
      @TutorsTips  2 роки тому

      Hello, yup both are different .. waise App ko liabilities walli transactions mein problem aye gi hi..
      kyu ki golden rules main specific rule nahi hai liabilities k liye.
      personal rule se hi liabilities banti hai.
      jaise.
      Bank loan account ko hum personal account treat kerke liablity create kerte hai. .
      bank hamara giver hota hai becoz wo hame cash de raha hai.
      So Giver ko hum credit karengye.
      Modern rules mein hum dekhengye k bank loan account increase ho raha hai.
      To increase in liabilities ko hum credit kerte hai.

  • @keshavladha3108
    @keshavladha3108 3 роки тому +1

    Sir I had this doubt that why increase in capital is credited and decrease in capital is debited, why can't I debit increase in capital and credit decrease in capital
    What was the logic when preparing modern approach of accounts?

    • @TutorsTips
      @TutorsTips  3 роки тому +2

      Ok... I will help you with this.
      the reason behind these rules is the nature of the account.
      Capital, Liabilities, and Revenue accounts always have a credit balance and the nature of these accounts is credit.
      In simple words, credit means *(-) minus* and debit *means (+) plus*
      So if you want to increase the amount of (-) minus you have to add the amount which is in (-) minus Because * (-) minus (-) minus is equal to (+) plus*.
      So if there is an increase in the capital account, you can show this increase by (-) minus the new amount from it. It will be added automatically.
      So that's why we have to credit the capital account when there is an increase in the capital account and debit when decreases.
      For Example:
      If there is an amount of Capital is 50,000 and the owner further invested in Rs 40,000.
      The capital always have Credit balance means - 50,000
      So there is an increase in the capital if we add the amount of further capital to it
      The amount will be - 50,000 + 40,000 = -10,000/- (basic maths)
      Now it shows a decrease in capital instead of an increase.
      So, we have to calculate this as follow
      -50,000 - 40,000 = -90,000/-
      this is shown as an increase in capital.
