Milo that clutch against the wraiths was so fucking hype (6:48:00). Don't really have any suggestions the stream was sick but prepare yourself for the reticle placement in Halo 2 and onward, it's set slightly lower than the center of the screen to show off the environment more. Takes a tad getting used to
2 hours in and im stopping the video, having never played Halo either this video has made me really want to purchase the master collection and play through the same. thank you Milo and JC for the awesome entertainment
As long as you got game pass, or even the PC Beta (if that’s still a thing) Halo 5 and MCC will always be free. You got nothing to lose man. Let’s put it this way, there’s so much replay value in the Campaign ALONE that as long as you find joy and entertainment in the game. You’ll have 5 days of play time in before you even know it. I’m not an 01’ CE Veteran, i joined the community unfortunately near the end of Bungies Halo life cycle, ODST was my first game and i have 16+ days of playtime for MCC. Everyone is more than welcome, and I truthfully believe 343i has finally got the hang of things and I truthfully believe Infinite is going to be an amazing game. (I know I’m getting off topic now but around the original announcement a hand full of years back, the Devs stated that they’ve projected for this game to have roughly a 10 year life cycle.)

Jus got a Samsung Odyssey G5 monitor and got a basic mouse and keyboard for my series x. After i master mouse n keyboard, ill take jt from there. Who knows what the future has to offer us but how im looking at it now, Series X may be my last console and will probably go PC during next gen in like 2028 or whatever. Ofcourse other than good ol Nintendo projects 😊
You'll never understand how impressive this was coming straight from N64/ps1 gen. I played this game for a straight 10hrs on Christmas day with my brother. We used to fight all the time but halo bonded us and we never really fought again
I love how on the way out of the swamp facility in 343 guilty spark there’s a room with dead Marines and jackles on top of a tall box. It’s like they realise there’s no point fighting each other when there’s a bigger threat and had a final stand together.
The fact as soon as the campaign starts all i hear is "THIS IS IT!!! THIS IS THE COVENANT!!!" That just absolutely broke me into tears of absolute pain and joy mixed into one haha
Listening to Milo being absolutely smeckledorfed by chat about the halo lore is what I imagine anyone else feels listening to him explain the zombies timeline.
It was so surreal watching someone play this for the first time, excited to see your reaction to the rest! you've got a journey ahead of you. ODST is peak vibes.
I remember not liking ODST on release. Even pre-ordered for Sgt Johnson in Firefight. But I replayed it recently and damn was I wrong. The OST is something else.
They took a little too long I don’t think the stream needed to be 8 hours long. They fucked around at every chance they got which made it a little hard to watch at times especially when the other guy would remind him that they need to keep moving otherwise they would never finish the stream. I totally understand exploring and having fun but there was a lot of stagnation especially at the beginning.
Watching you enjoy Halo and experience it for the first time just gave me so much nostalgia of how I felt when I first played it. This was an amazing stream & such a good time, glad I got to catch the whole thing. Can’t wait to watch you continue this Great Journey through Halo!
4:33:27 I remember when I first played through AotCR, and got to this chapter, I would ALWAYS race the elites for the banshee and skip the elevator down to the bottom of the pyramid. That also meant I missed out on one of Halo's iconic tracks, A Walk in the Woods.

@@paladindaril Halo was built as a trilogy. If you look into it they really didn't even want to even do anything more after a halo 2 but they couldn't cram it into it. Halo CE 2 and 3 is a trilogy as much as Star wars has 3 Trilogies. The OG Trilogy, The prequel and the Disney trilogy. You are missing the entire point to what I said or what the OP said

This was amazing and fun to watch, seeing a Halo newcomer enjoying the game to such a degree brought me back to when I played this game the first time as a kid. Legendary playthrough I must say.
Newcomer to the channel/Latecomer to the video but I just have to say that this has singlehandedly been the most enjoyable Halo experience that I've had since my first playthrough as a child, watching your constant wonderment exploring every little detail has been so refreshing and reminds me why I fell in love with the franchise in the first place. @@serathaevistille995 basically Combat Evolved Anniversary’s classic graphics mode (and by extension MCC’s) was built off the 2003 PC port of Combat Evolved ported by Gearbox software, not the original Xbox version created by Bungie. In this version there were loads of graphical differences that made loads of textures in the game not look as good as they did on the Xbox version. In the season 7 update they updated the original graphics in CEA to bring them more in line with the original Xbox version. There’s some really good UA-cam videos on it, I’ll link you one
Milo and JC are both actually correct about Hunters. Shooting one in the neck, stomach or back will kill them instantly if you're using a pistol or a sniper rifle. The reason is because Bungie coded those areas as being a, 'headshot' hitbox.
This painfully reminds me that Halo Infinity does not have swamps, snow or beach levels. CE managed to have such a wonderfully diverse biome and more mystery than any other game in the series.
This playthrough is the best thing ever. That untainted first time experience really shows. And the amount of fails and from Milo absolutely made my day. Thank you for this.
Always fun and interesting to see people's first times through things like Halo (especially plot twists and surprises like the Flood and playing as the Arbiter)

Fun fact (well actually not so fun): The guy's helm cam footage you see (jenkins) actually had the most brutal and sad story. When the flood infected him, he got infected by a very ancient and old one which means his transformation was not complete. During his transformation, he didn't die so he had to live through every limb being torn apart and put together, bones broken into inconceivable pieces and weaponized, tumors growing out of different parts of the body and what not. HE HAD TO LIVE THROUGH ALL OF IT AND FEEL IT. Even after his transformation was done, he couldn't do anything about it and was still conscious, meaning he could see and feel everything his flood-infected body was doing up until his very end. He had to see soldiers, his own friends and comrades brutally murdered by his own body and he couldn't do anything about that.
Came back after years, and it’s so awesome to see Milo actually enjoying himself on YT again, so excited to go through watching these streams, glad you’re back man!
In the campaign, the pistol is only good for instantly killing with a headshot; it doesn't shoot straight. The plasma pistol is one of the best weapons in the game because not only is each shot strong, it shoots straight over any distance and fires as fast as you pull the trigger.
After you find Keyes dead from his Flood infection, what I like to do is open the door where the Covenant comes through and then just hide at the back of the room. The Covenant and the Flood will kill each other and you can save ammo.
I have been watching you for years and this is one of my favorite streams I have ever watched! Halo 2 is the game I grew up with and I’m just as hyped as you are to continue the story!
This was such a fun video to watch. It was so fun seeing your reactions to some of the things in the game. Like when the flood comes in, The Library mission aka the cursed mission, and the warthog run. Can’t wait to watch your streams for halo 2 and 3 and the rest of the games.

Just want to say. This game is significantly more difficult on legendary. Definitely the second hardest halo on Legendary behind H2 only and ONLY bc of Jackel snipers, otherwise it isn’t. Halo Combat Evolved is worth a walk through on legendary some day. Glad you like the series tho. Love Halo

Actually on that locked door 🚪 on the silent Cartographer you can actually get inside the door before it locks. You just have to be quick with the warthog and only the 2 people in the front get in because the warthog gets stuck halfway through but it acts like a gateway from the turret if you get close enough to it to get inside it through the "locked" door
3:09:06 is the most incidental pro halo player move I’ve ever seen someone do. He parked the warthog right in front so the turret could mow down the covenant inside. Definitely not on purpose but an amazing move 😂
I really enjoyed watching this. Looking forward to watching Halo 2. For hunters, any red part of their body is their weakpoint. That can be their neck, belly, or back. Headshot weapons - the pistol or sniper - will kill them in one shot if you hit them in the red.
Halo 1 actually can handle extreme lighting conditions, it's just that the lightmapping pass in halo 1 is radiosity-based and the higher you try to scale it, the longer it takes(exponentially too. Which makes it realllllly not worth it). It isn't uncommon for older mapmakers to experiment with lighting and have their game rendering lightmaps for a few days on a single mapfile edit: uhh... not that it takes away from _'halo: the GAME's_ lighting 😁
Watching your reaction to the flood for the first time is amazing lol. Almost exactly how I reacted when I played it the first time. Except I was about 10 times more terrified
I finally built my pc and downloaded R6 and when I saw MCC was available for $20 I instantly bought it watching you play just gives me more reason to play I enjoyed it on console and now its time to relive that experience can't wait to see you play the rest
To clarify for riding in the Pelican, you just hold into it and hope for the best. Throwing ONE grenade **INSTANTLY** when the level starts **BEFORE** you get out is a separate trick that will not get you the achievement.
The Flood: the zombie virus where the 'zombies' become superhumanly strong and durable, but also intelligent enough to use firearms and operate machinery. Literally the worst possible version of zombies.
Watching milo play through this brings back old feelings when i used to play halo ce when i was a kid. I look forward to binge watching this whole play through of the series.

For Halo 2, in the settings change the crosshairs to centred and play the game in the remastered graphics rather than the original.

Brings back memories. I used to side step the hunters and melee them in the back like a bull-fighter.
That's how I used to play Swords in Halo 3. You could sort of side step players, and quickly slice right past the guard of their sword.

Fun fact (well actually not so fun): The guy's helm cam footage you see (jenkins) actually had the most brutal and sad story. When the flood infected him, he got infected by a very ancient and old one which means his transformation was not complete. During his transformation, he didn't die so he had to live through every limb being torn apart and put together, bones broken into inconceivable pieces and weaponized, tumors growing out of different parts of the body and what not. HE HAD TO LIVE THROUGH ALL OF IT AND FEEL IT. Even after his transformation was done, he couldn't do anything about it and was still conscious, meaning he could see and feel everything his flood-infected body was doing up until his very end. He had to see soldiers, his own friends and comrades brutally murdered by his own body and he couldn't do anything about that.
Came back after years, and it’s so awesome to see Milo actually enjoying himself on YT again, so excited to go through watching these streams, glad you’re back man!
In the campaign, the pistol is only good for instantly killing with a headshot; it doesn't shoot straight. The plasma pistol is one of the best weapons in the game because not only is each shot strong, it shoots straight over any distance and fires as fast as you pull the trigger.
After you find Keyes dead from his Flood infection, what I like to do is open the door where the Covenant comes through and then just hide at the back of the room. The Covenant and the Flood will kill each other and you can save ammo.
The question is did you enjoy it? Its why some of us are still so dedicated to this game. The story is one of the best game stories around.

Just want to say. This game is significantly more difficult on legendary. Definitely the second hardest halo on Legendary behind H2 only and ONLY bc of Jackel snipers, otherwise it isn’t. Halo Combat Evolved is worth a walk through on legendary some day. Glad you like the series tho. Love Halo

Actually on that locked door 🚪 on the silent Cartographer you can actually get inside the door before it locks. You just have to be quick with the warthog and only the 2 people in the front get in because the warthog gets stuck halfway through but it acts like a gateway from the turret if you get close enough to it to get inside it through the "locked" door
3:09:06 is the most incidental pro halo player move I’ve ever seen someone do. He parked the warthog right in front so the turret could mow down the covenant inside. Definitely not on purpose but an amazing move 😂

For hunters, any red part of their body is their weakpoint. That can be their neck, belly, or back. Headshot weapons - the pistol or sniper - will kill them in one shot if you hit them in the red.
I can’t wait for you to play Halo 2, the jump is story is like going from WaW zombies straight to BO3 zombies in terms of lore.

Halo 1 actually can handle extreme lighting conditions, it's just that the lightmapping pass in halo 1 is radiosity-based and the higher you try to scale it, the longer it takes(exponentially too. Which makes it realllllly not worth it). It isn't uncommon for older mapmakers to experiment with lighting and have their game rendering lightmaps for a few days on a single mapfile
edit: uhh... not that it takes away from _'halo: the GAME's_ lighting 😁

I finally built my pc and downloaded R6 and when I saw MCC was available for $20 I instantly bought it watching you play just gives me more reason to play I enjoyed it on console and now its time to relive that experience can't wait to see you play the rest
