I love Yellowstone and Gran Teton spent a week driving sightseeing enjoying the living artwork of the creator. Some areas where just breath taking beautiful I felt like t was driving inside of a masterpiece priceless painting☮️.
What a sad comment, how could any 'masterpiece' compare to the natural beauty of this world? Paintings are nothing but an activity done by man to reproduce incredible originals.
It would be very interesting to see what this whole area looks like now. Perhaps in some future time someone will take videos of the same as this. Would be very interesting to see the drastic changes to the landscape. Thank you for your video.
I'm from the East Coast and have been to Yellowstone on vacation 4 times in the last 50 odd years. Always spectacular. First visit in '68 after getting out of the Army at Ft Lewis, Washington. Then again in '82, '87 & '91. Life is short, enjoy it while you can. Self employed, avid camper forever.
I was in Yellowstone last Saturday looking at the falls. It started to rain really hard at about 5 pm. My family and I got out of there right before the North road collapsed near Mammoth Hot Springs.
My girlfriend and I were literally talking about going to Yellowstone in September the night before the flooding happened. I'm so saddened and I hope no person or animal was hurt. I hope to still see Yellowstone in the future as it looks like one of the most amazing places on earth.
@@TheHamsterMaster You can still go to Grand Teton. I imagine most of the park will reopen by then. I've been twice, and want to go again, after I go to alaska a few more times first.
This is the first time I've ever seen footage of Yellow stone . I've fished and hunted the mountains of WV and it intrigues me to think how long these mountain rivers have been forming the gorges. Thank you for sharing this video. It's magnificent.

Thanks for showing us the falls, I remember the park when we traveled there during the wildfires. When we left California, there were no fire threat, but upon arriving the entrance was closed (thanks to lightning ignited fires), so we were forced to drive (at 13 years old is seemed like) hours to get the other entrance where we set up camp around midnight. Shortly after this, we were evacuated from our camp, and told where to relocate. What started as a trip in the wrong place at the wrong time, turned into sheer luck for the duration of our stay. Not only did we see elk, moose, herds of bison, and a momma grizzly with three cubs down in a meadow trying to flea, but each basin and feature we visited were consumed and closed by fire shortly after. A couple years later we went back to see how the park was rebounding, despite evidence of fire throughout the park, we found new life in undergrowth and baby trees as well. The most memorable feature remained unchanged, Yellowstone Falls; which was the first place I tried to find when I heard about the floods hoping somebody would upload. These falls are incredible without floods, I could only imagine what they roared like now. Then, I found your upload! Thank you for sharing with us! Mother nature can take life in amazing forms, but is the supreme giver of life here on earth- it just takes time! On a side note. . . what the heck happened to those beautiful pools in the terraces???
I absolutely loved this video, thank you for sharing your adventure. I can't at this time afford vacations do to kids in private college and a brutal economy. God bless you for sharing, I will make it there in the next 5 years, God willing.
Brought back memories of when I was 8 years old back in 1982 being there with my grandparents. O the magic of that place forever instilled in me. Good video
Haven’t been to Yellowstone for 60 years, but I remember all the splendor and the bears coming into the camp ground. It was a great vacation for a 12 year old. Would love to go back.
Beautiful!!! Y'all realize there's a massive volcano under all that beauty and its getting more active by the day. Mud doesn't percolate for no reason and those springs don't bubble for no reason......crazy times we live in!!
Yes, we know. And the percolating you speak of, its what is keeping the pressure from building up. Its when they stop, you need to be concerned....in a few million years,of course
It’s interesting seeing the water fall volume, speed etc. Given that Yellowstone is also Volcanic. It resembles Huka River and Falls in Volcanic Taupo New Zealand so much.
In 1977 I travelled from the UK to Idaho Falls to stay live relative's for approximately two months. During this trip we travelled throughout Idaho, Wyoming and Montana. I especially recall our very full day spent in the spectacular Yellowstone national park.
I was glad to get in three days of exploring Yellowstone before they shut it down. I felt sorry for my family members that only got to visit the park on Sunday.
My BF found this video interesting, as he’s never been to Yellowstone. I have quite a few times, but now I’m blind. Pulling up a video without any commentary or narration really defeats the purpose for me and I would love to hear what you have to say your opinions your thoughts etc. and what’s going on and what’s to come thanks I hope you don’t feel that this is disrespectful because it’s not intended to be just a suggestion to help us blind folks understand what you’re showing on your video.
The snow/ice around the great falls... how much had to be built up for it to last until mid-June! I've been there in February and not seen that much hanging there.
It is a crazy thing to see since we have been there a few times the disaster is obvious and what happens to all of the fish and river creatures is a mystery. It seems as though there is more to come with this natural event.
I have seen these rivers and waterfalls many times, but not under these conditions. This is how the landforms of the planet are shaped. Watch and enjoy!
I agree and I wasn't the only one who concerned about it then. The underground heat must have involved since the outdoor temperature is not that quite hot.
I been wanting to go here for years and a year and a half I set up a trip out there and was supposed to leave this Sunday but now had to cancel it sucks but I guess I will wait another year.
hey you need to forward to the USGS an alert email marked fast traffic about the vent locations and appearance on the edge of the river that is one of the strangest things i have seen geologically this may be an indication of an Eruption or pre-eruption release but it isn't good
The biggest question is…why can’t our politicians pass a bill to build an aqueduct from the main outlet of these rivers to the Colorado River, so it benefits both sides of the Rockies? Prevents floods and provides needed water. Expensive yes, but provides jobs, solves two problems, and is a one time shot.
We had reservations for Yellowstone for this week. We had canceled them last April due to the gas prices. God thank you for giving me ears to hear.
