We are booked next door to the Hampton Inn at the BW in a few days. I liked the idea of the shopping plaza next door with the grocery store restaurants and a few other features of the area as you mentioned.

The shopping area is wonderful. There's a great variety of stores to cover whatever you may need for your cruise. Coincidentally, we're going to be staying at that Best Western in about a month and a half for our next cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale. The Hampton was already sold out. Have a great cruise and thanks for watching!

I work as a shuttle driver. And when I get to my job. I have the same problem call out names people could be ten feet in front of me. And on phones. And I always say not to them but under my breath get off your phones.

Best Western Oceanside a short walk to the Beach, restaurants and a water Taxi pick up. Stayed there 3 days location was so much better than airport locations.

Agreed we stayed here twice, only issue our first stay the women at the front were rude and did not order our early morning transfer to the airport. We know just Uber.

@@backroadstourist I am a rewards member of Best Western. We love them because they have a standard of quality nationwide you can rely on.
Do you remember how much you paid for the shuttle?

@@EricHarkins-yc6ip Being a rewards member really influences my decision making, too! Why let the perks and great deals go to waste when you're entitled to them? Good on you! I went back and checked my credit card statement and it looks like we paid $15 per person for the shuttle, so $30 total. Of course, then we also gave the driver a tip.

@@backroadstourist We're a family of 4 and we've done the shuttle each time in the past. Will try Uber/Lyft this go around to get better service and likely save money too.

Excellent advice. I was going to book HI Express but like the location of the hampton better. The shopping mall across the street is perfect for us. There are however several bS reviews on this hotel on trip advisor. I have stayed at hampton in in other cities so i know of their quality. I will book this cor my February cruise. Do you recall what the charge was cor the port shuttle. I am thinking uber might be cheaper Nd less crowded? Your thoughts. Thanks

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. I just got back from a 10 day cruise to Alaska. If I remember correctly, the shuttle was $15 per person. We really liked the shopping mall right across the street. It had everything we needed...a variety of stores, several restaurants. it was perfect. I read those bs reviews too, and it made me a little leary about staying there, but I wanted to give an honest opinion based on our experiences. Have a great cruise in February!

It's a good locationI stayed there but here is the problen, on Cruise days they jack their price up plus on Cruise morning everybody heading to port way too crowded, next time I stayed in Airbnb just a block from there, loved it. do your homework, I been there so many times so its little different for me. I have stayed in lot of different hotels there, I'm Hilton guy. I love back roads

We stayed at HIE at 1150 Florida 84, Fort Lauderdale a coulle weeks ago... Shuttle never came but they kept saying only 15min away (for alomost 2 hrs)..we ubered. Got to the room (over $400/nt) room smelled weirlde clean, like strong cleaner maybe ever sprayed as the csroet seemed a bit damp. Cockroach besode the fridge. Staff completely unapolgetic about the shuttle, cockroach. I would not recommend ever booking a hotel based on a gree shuttle. Just pay and get where you are going.

is it port lauderdale or everglades?? royal caribbean says Fort Lauderdale.. wich adress is it in google maps? ship called Liberty of the Seas

You think they'd just name it after the city, right? In this case, Ft. Lauderdale has named it Port Everglades, but it's IN Ft. Lauderdale. If you go to Google Maps and type in "Port Everglades", it'll take you right to it. According to them, it looks like Royal Caribbean's dock is Terminal 18. Hope that helps. Enjoy your cruise and thanks for watching!
