Maybe cuz she is half Hispanic ? She speaks spanish
The original Ave Maria is actually sung in German
I was just gonna comment the opposite. Her accent is killing me
I’m not catholic and I am not a fan of basketball, but this is beautiful, and using Latin was brilliant. I wish she had sung the whole song.
Thank you.
That was not Italian. That is the original Ave Maria in LATIN.
Perro Perrito thanks for the obvious, take that else where and enjoy the performance
Jvyc633 He’s saying it because Jimmy said Italian 🤦🏻♂️
Mohack88 yeah I know why he saying it , I’m saying clearly we all known that’s not the Italian version
Jvyc633 pretty sure not everyone knows.
@@Mohack88 i didn't know thanks for the info. Don't get mad for that hater tho
We often hear criticism from untalented people. Xtina is a legend. PERIOD
She toned it down sooo much more and it was definitely appropriate for the occasion. Simply beautiful. 🖤
This is not a show, this is a proper tribute. Perfect ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡. The best voice left in present times.
She should win a Grammy for this. Kobe we miss you
I give props to Christina Aguilera she nailed it . It sound it so peaceful.
Her voice is out of this planet.
Just incredible!!!
I love that her voice has this deep, heavy, almost heroic quality when she belts. Combined with her light, delicate head voice. It’s not everyones cup of tea, especially if you expected a “prettier” interpretation. But it was very emotive. Well done.
That way she ended the song's last note .... strikes tears immediately :(
Nash Fung to each his own, but that was the least of the song
Yes very beautiful 😍
Latin? Omg that's epic. Christina is an angel.
Wth happened to cristina 🤮
peter griffin says someone who can’t even put their face on a profile 🤔
now she's a 7-time grammy award winner
Will be 8 in February. 🤞🏻
@@luisnaranjo2925 maybe 9, because 2 number nomation
Christina Aguilera sings like 20 angels together BEAUTIFUL I am sure KOBE was happy to listen to her from the sky.
She’s beautiful, dressed most respectable
That was beautiful, Christina Aguilera has always had a beautiful voice.
This rendition Christina performs is just out of this world.
It literally takes you to a place out of the present, and into another point in time.
Magical.
Am I only one who feels like her vocal style got more detailed and sensitive 😍😍😍??
Since she's been touring a lot again her vocals have become super good again. Just like muscles you need to keep training your vocal cords and after she gave birth to her children she had stopped performing. But she's in prime shape again now :)
Listen to her singing “At Last” as a teen ...
When they were starting out, the question was always Britney or Christina? Both ladies are good at what they do, but when it comes to pure vocals, Christina is above and beyond almost everybody.
VERY SOOTHING.. AT FIRST I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO MAKE OF HER VOICE, I FELT IT WAS VERY PEACEFUL AND LOVELY! VERY RELAXING AT A TIME LIKE THIS... RIP KOBE AND GIANNI BRYANT⚘
It’s amazing she should sing like this all the time
This performance was incredible! Her voice is mesmerizing. She’s definitely a legend.
Shes so respectful and dressed appropriately. She sang phenomenally even with shitty people controlling the sound. She didnt smile or make it about her. No fucking wind machine necessary. Exquisite Christina!
She is the queen of tributes and funerals.
WOW WOW IT TOOK A LEGEND LIKE CHRISTINA AGUILERA TO PAY TRIBUTE TO Kobe BRYANT AND GIANNA IN SUCH A POWERFUL PERFECT FLAWLESS PERFORMANCE. WOW WOW WOW I GOT CHILLS
Beautifully done, Christina never disappoints. Rest in Paradise Kobe and Gianna.
This is the only performance from the Kobe Bryant memorial that’s trending since yesterday and today?! It’s CRAZY!!
Which countries?
Lol okay, an Indian fan hence was curious :) so happy for her!
Reuel Arnez i am from indonesia 🇮🇩
This woman can do no wrong, them vocals are everything
When you hear a voice like this how can you not believe in talents!
When christina sings, her voice is not only coming out of the speakers. It goes straight into your whole body and you can feel it all over. There are only a very few singers that can do it this way.
She has matured and shows her best at live events...appropriate and beautifully talented
the first note already gave me crazy goose bumps
Imagine hearing this in a cathedral ugh man my soul would be cleansed hearing that
Her first note sent chills down my spine!! What an incredible voice for such a beautiful song 😭
That last two runs were absolutely beautiful!
Classic. Timeless. Compassionate. Understated in the best way possible.
To this day she is the most incredible voice I have ever heard live. This is a beautiful tribute and beautiful performance from Christina.
It breaks my heart to see list with Ariana above her..like wtf
Xtina is way better than Ariana in my opinion.
@@pt7860 her voice is power, always gives you goose bumps
@@breemudi I love Ariana but she can't even be compared to xtina. Xtina is a legend
The sound is like coming from the sky.
This was heavenly beautiful. Peaceful and breathtaking. Most tv shows and news outlets didn’t mentioned this performance and it’s a shame. I really don’t understand why the hate, they always do Christina wrong. She is one of the best vocalists of this generation, sounding better than ever. A career spanning TWO decades, Christina Aguilera deserves RESPECT!
Her singing gives me chills!!!
Lol. Listen to Mirusia then see.
That ending reverb/run she did just moved me to the universe flowing with tears. It was tastefully done. One of the few singers who made me feel something everytime she sings. Very unique. Bravo Christina!
This is honestly one of the most astonishing, emotionally perfect, incredible performances of Ave Maria ever recorded.
Absolutely beautifully done!👏 She kept it respectful. She didn’t treat it like it was a concert. Her performance was breath taking and effortless 🙌🏻
Her voice was so effortless & angelic like. I love Christina talent
I forgot how talented Christina Aguilera is... her voice is so beautiful this girl could sing!!!
Everything she sings is perfect.
I would always love this woman!!!! One of the best vocalists we’ve ever been graced with.
Her and Whitney honey, We are blessed to live in the Era of Christina Aguilera and Whitney Hudson probably the 2 best of all time!
Imagine being able to sing this piece, Christina has a voice of an angel.
What a moving tribute. We all miss him. So sad that he left us. She sang the song beautifully.
So powerful and unique
She’s a true artist with an amazing talent
Aviad Fenyo ❤️
She should have been an opera singer. This was beautiful beyond words
She comes out of nowhere and slays everyone!
Only her voice out all of the 00's singers has the necessary "weight" and drama to sing this classical song.
Samy Akli I love how beyonce sang this song
Samy Akli Beyoncé also
She has a lot of reverb on her voice. This song can only ever be sung by a classically trained singer. She does not have the power to reach those big notes smoothly. Good attempt but no Dame Kiri
@@CQuinnLady the reverb is not intentional!! This is sound engineers messing it up. It clearly does not sound clean and she usually doesn't use reverb (unlike Beyonce). This is sung in a pop way, no comparison possible with opera. This is like comparing apples and oranges. My comment was strictly talking about pop voices.
@@samysellssf did u mix it? how do u know its not intentional? It wasnt a song for her voice, classical or not. Ave Maria is NOT a song to sung by a pop diva. The arrangement wasnt pop it was classical.
The way she sung this song!!!! Sooo beautiful! Her voice is something else!
She sang this well, but who the heck was running the sound? I could barely hear her most of the time cause the strings were so loud.
I think it was just her voice. She had trouble singing over the instruments. Maybe more rehearsal time or someone with a softer voice who can sing over the music would have been better. I praise her effort and compassion to give a good performance, though.
Oh really? She sang the song impeccably.
It's definitely better to hear it in the audience.
Sky Walker lol r u on something ? Christina had always use live bands and orchestra she never had problem with instruments nothing is wrong with her voice it was clearly the sound system ? The freaking echo
Sky Walker how can softer voice be better at singing over live orchastra. You make no sense
This performance is perfection, it gave me chills at the end ! Christina is one of the greatest.
Her mic was too low but her powerful voice pulled it off.
Her Mic wasn't low. It was the musicians being places to close to her
I imagine to myself that it was intentionally low to try and balance the sounds. She sings very loudly
@@glibbergloopshe keeps away from the mic from time to time, she s a professional vocalist and definitely know what she s doing
Her mic was a little low, you can tell in the parts the piano plays right over her, but she used the reverb and echoey acoustics of the stadium to her advantage to really fill the room
No lie, i listened to this like 10 times already......
This is the only performance I watched and I’ve watched IT sooooooo many times
Same
Yo have to watch Alicia Keys! Chilling!
Continues to show that she is The VOICE!
