This is the fantastic looking Mazda MX-5 NB of Mantas Sliogeris, powered by a proper American V8, a 450Hp LS2 unit, making this still Street Legal but quite bonkers 1150Kg Miata a true Monster. Built for Gymkhana events originally, but used for Drift and Sprint stuff, it made its debut on our Quick60 Challenge event in spectauclar fashion, reaching a Top 15 place staight away. And hopefully we´ll see this Monster come back this year for even more sideways action...

I think I should provide more information about the car. This is not a "race car" in the literal sense of the word. It's a normal road car. I drove it to the event and back home afterwards.
It's parked on a driveway waiting for the next adventure. No matter what it is: a road trip, a trackday, a gymkhana, drifting, nurburgring, you name it. It has no specific purpose, apart from providing a joy of driving.
It wasn't optimised to be outright the fastest car out there, it was optimised to be a great fun whatever it does. And yes, I like the oversteer quite a bit :)

Now think about this a 6.0 Ls V8 buttttt cut in half so its only a 3.0L V4 ½LS & THEN sequentially turbo'd to say 600hp
(easily achievable ) ppl Turbocharging a 4.8Ls can get 800 on a bone stock internals. An 1200hp on a 6.0L Ls , an Texas Speed engine builder's get 1500 -1700 outa a 7.0 . Back to the V4 IT would weigh at least 100lbs less an be way better for Mx5 50/50 weight.

My man Mantas killing it. This guy singlehandly destroyed a drifting champion (Daigo Saito) and Ken Block (among others) in the same event.

The car is not properly sorted, it shouldn't be understeering at all, it has some suspension issues for sure. Miatas that are set up right don't have mid corner antics like that.

That is basically a modern day recipe Shelby Cobra. Obviously different brands but same principles.

It is like a modern Shelby Cobra (If it was a Ford V8 it would be more accurate but LS2 is amazing too).
