Home time!
After a beautiful week away in stunning Halkidiki it was time to fly home back to windy, stormy Manchester.
Like the outbound flight this was operated by Avion Express. The aircraft was LY-VEA, which was ex. Monarch G-OZBI. The interior still with Monarch, purple seats inside. Quite sad to see actually. This also happened to be the day of "Storm Ali" which caused travel chaos and disruption across the north of UK and Scotland. 50mph winds battered Manchester all day, which lead for a rather turbulent approach over the peak district and into the airport. A nice flight, wasn't 100% full so a fair few empty seats about. This aircraft is one of very few A321's operated by Thomas Cook with IAE V2500 engines instead of the CFM's. So compare the outbound flight video to this one and leave me a comment. Which do you prefer? IAE or CFM engines?
