For anyone trying to use the sparrows: you will want to get someone that isn’t paying attention or someone that isn’t aware of the sparrows the demon gets. Best launch distance tends to be between 5 miles and 2 miles in head ons, you can be a little closer when launching from the rear
This is actually my favorite plane in the game and my most consistent for getting aces. With the slats down it can swing the nose around very quick to throw a 9b at somebody. The four 9bs are almost guaranteed kills if you play it right, and you might be able to get a few gun kills too. The only bad thing is that the acceleration and energy retention are non existent.
This is one of my favorite planes in the game. i like "bad" aircraft, and this one is so bad it becomes good again. I would much rather have the F3H than the F100 by far
This is currently my highest plane. All I ever see is premium A-10s and F-5s getting down tiered to me and getting down tiered to me and killing me with missiles or they die to my guns. It’s pretty annoying.
AIM-7C/D have burn time of 2 seconds, it means you need to launch it no further than 2-2.5km, depending on your speed, enemy speed and direction. For comparison, AIM-9L have burn time 5.5s, AIM-9B and R-3S - 2.2s. Basically, AIM-7C is just an all-aspect AIM-9B.
Actually it's worse than a 9b, this has 0g pull while burning and then slowly increases after that. It gets to 10g a little after 3 seconds from launch. It technically gets 15g at ~4.5 seconds but at that distance you need them to be afk to hit anyway.
that may seem weird but this plane kinda work if youre being extremely aggressive. It bleeds speed but turns well enough to get tons of lead shots. love those guns
The F3H actually has some pretty good performance if you dont weight yourself down with missles, i usually take just two 9Bs and it can clap just about anything in a secluded 1v1. The frustration comes from trying to engage in a matchmaker where half the enemy team can click a 30g missle at you, make you lose all your speed trying to dodge, and then click their second 30g missle that you cant dodge anymore. Premium missle jets have ruined the entire br bracket
I grinded through this thing recently catching up after years of not playing. No exp in jets past the cl13 vs mig 17 vs f86 f2 era. This was NOT the jet to learn how to use sarh missles for sure.
Well, yeah. Just especially so because this plane is quite bad even at it’s own BR. If I were in say, a p39n for example, uptiers aren’t bad, because the plane is still very very good in an uptier.
The F3H in an up tier faces missiles it can't dodge or flare that can target it from any direction, so if someone launches one you can kiss your ass goodbye. The already useless aim-9bs become worthless thanks to how fast and how many countermeasures every plane gets. And the speed is BAD thanks to it being a large airframe with only one engine. It's like a Lim-5P was given 4 crappy missiles and was forced to face 10.3s every match
(iirc) The aim7c doesn't start turning untill the rocket burns out(around 2 sec) and then slowly increases the max g limit untill 4.5 sec after launch. Horrible missile
I wish Gaijin would fix the centering of the cockpit of this plane having the cockpit not centered properly is annoying but Gaijin probably has no clue about it and wont even bother to fix it
the f3h is one of my favorite planes, but it fighting r-60's and 9-ls without countermeasures is vile, it used to be so good and now it's stuck in purgatory
The aim9c takes too long to start pulling, and often cant pull enough, so its likes a missile thats completely useless. Just find that a little interesting
F-4C is actually capable of being fun if you aren’t constantly uptiered to 11.0 games, while this thing is bad no matter what you get. At least the F-4C is fun in a full downtier

Its way faster, climbs way better and actually even outturns almost every pre-missle jet you will find. The real issue for this plane is trying to engage anything when you dont have flares and half of the enemy team is shitmobiles with 30g missles

Its fast, turns really well, rolls well, doesnt compress and the guns are lethal and easy to use. The big issue is being third partied, 1v1 it claps just about any subsonic short of a sagittario

As a sweden player, I feel like the demon is just the plane for me. I like the struggle of getting all the swedish jets until the J32B with the SK60 and the saab105G by primarily playing them as fighters. I love having to go against Su-25s and A-10s in the J32B: living in constant fear of getting all aspect missiled. The demon just seems like a plane for me.
flat-spin missile shots are the bane of my existence above 10.0. BR. Just today had a game in my F-15, severe damaged a 15J, flat spin, on fire, tail ripped off and he's literally a second from hitting the ground... Fires off an AAM3 SOMEHOW and managed to curve it over the hill i went past and smack me in the back the SECOND i took my eyes off him. Knew it was coming and simply cause i didn't look at him for that last FUCKING second, i get punished.
This is the single most frustrating jet i own, im a usa main but just recently grinded the russian tree to get the su and mig 29, i used the premium mig21s to grind most the tree and i feel like the mig21s is exactly what i always wanted the f3 to be, so it only made it worse going back to the us tree after playing a couple weeks of ussr, and i can absolutely confirm, Russian bias is proper real, I've never had such an easy time grinding then grinding the ussr it's really ruined me for going back to US jets again 😂
I’m watching this mute and skipping around a bit, so I don’t know if you figured it out, but the reason you can’t fire rockets as a flare is because you’re using the weapon selector, you need to either deactivate the weapon selector, or change the selector to your rockets
Do you think you could make videos on the VG.33, P-43, J 22, D.500/501/510, Re.2000/2002, and/or Fokker D.XXI? They're real hidden low tier gems (imo) that none of the CCs seem to cover.
Back before this thing faced 30G missiles, it was one of my most liked planes tbh. Since they added the A-10 and Su-25, I won't touch it at all, really.
It's great at 9.3 squadron battles and sim battles. the flaps make it very good at turning for like 1 turn. Btw using primary weapons you can fire 2 cannons only and save ammo.
I used this thing near-exclusively by hauling FFARs to a base, killing that base, and then going dogfighting, using 9Bs as you use 9Bs. It was actually very... Tolerable in that way.
The Javelin has had a flight model update this patch. It now holds energy much better than before, you should try it. The missiles are still bad though, still overcorrecting themselves and being unstable within about 1km.
During the Vietnam War, the USA conducted Operation Feather Duster to test tactics supersonic planes could use against the subsonic Mig-17 that kept causing pilots issues. They ran the test with the F-86 standing in for the Mig against the F-100 and F-105. One pilot said during the tests "In any envelope except nose down and full throttle, either the F-100 or F-105 was inferior to the F-86H in a dogfight." I think that speaks a lot to why the F3H struggles. Against the higher tier and faster opponents it can't keep up at full throttle. Against the lower tier and more maneuverable opponents it can't keep up in a turn. It's stuck in an ugly middle position where it really can't do either thing.
The F3H is actually INCREDIBLY agile for an aircraft of its size. I once found myself in a dogfight in one playing the MiG-17 and the dude actually managed to outturn me despite my using flaps and such. The two main problems with the Demon is that it has relatively low acceleration and faces jets that have all-aspect 30g missiles. Basically, it's only "bad" because of Gaijin's r€t@rded BR compression.
@_Joob you can use the combat flaps (slats) to stop yourself from bleeding speed at high speeds but it tanks your turn rate (only at high speeds beyond around 700-800km/h)
skill issue the f2h2 is unironically a great multirole with plenty of ammo for its easy to use cannons and aim9bs that if you know how to use are really useful for some positions when an enemy is escaping gun range. id never take out rockets though because it has phantom levels of flailing around- missiles just fly past you if you time it right. 7Cs are unironically crap though, thats 100% true like seriously a terrible missile. i never usually find a youtuber calling a plane ive had great experience with bad, so i lept at the chance to say uhm acthually. carrying rockets is a good idea but not necessary- only against r60s and the stray a5 magic 1. i usually carried 4x9bs and i treated it like a fighter- that first engagement being the most important because youd wanna force them into the fight since youve not got the best turnrate of the br- though its not terrible and easy to capitalise on others mistakes- i still wouldnt rely on it. i dont watch joob often so i dont know if his thing is using every part of an aircraft and defining whether its good or not on how well it plays all the roles it should in theory be able to play- but if he doesnt do that, please do this again without attempting to use the 7cs pls i luv the demon 3x
God, every time I see somebody play this thing I get flashbacks. I made the mistake of deciding to play it for over 30 missions straight because I wanted to use it to grind a Sabre for some reason.
when it comes to the AIM-7C when I use the penguin I use the missiles on someone thats stalling out or clueless. you've already noticed that the radar isnt really that good and the AIM-7C's..... well they are a thing alright so the best way to use them is like how I mentioned earlier.

I've had more success with the AIM 7C at higher altitudes launching at over 10km (if you can get the crappy radar to lock), it takes awhile after leaving the rail before it starts to track properly so short range launches are a waste of time. Zero point trying to lock if you're down low.
The ONLY use-case I could find for the aim-7C was using it on strike drones in GRB, but they got their BR increased, so the 7C is straight up one of the worst missiles in the game. I legitimately don't know why this thing is 9.3. It's not particularly fast, and loses all of it's speed in a turn. It has no flares. It's missiles are objectively terrible. It's payload options don't really stand out to me, even compared to planes in comparable roles to it that are at or around its BR. I don't think it would become OP if it's BR was lowered since there's a metric ton of 8.3 and 8.7 missile carriers that 8.0s already face anyway.
I tried getting some footage for a video with the m4k because of the magic 2 buffs but I was straight up having an awful time. Need some top tier reps because I SUCK at it at the moment.
@@_Joob the secret is bleed your speed and lurk low. It can be shockingly stealthy they both need to played like ambush fighters because as soon as you can get behind someone is basically a guaranteed kill. Also never bring the drop the tanks 30-32 minutes of fuel is plenty
The sad thing about is that it isn't 9.0, which it should be. It is not a 9.3 airframe, and almost every match i've ever been on it, full uptier to 10.3, facing F-5Cs and such. If it was 9.0, it would be a perfectly balanced plane

it seems that rockets or atleast FFARs don't work as well as flares now, had the same issue with the F-4C

The ONLY use-case I could find for the aim-7C was using it on strike drones in GRB, but they got their BR increased, so the 7C is straight up one of the worst missiles in the game. I legitimately don't know why this thing is 9.3. It's not particularly fast, and loses all of it's speed in a turn. It has no flares. It's missiles are objectively terrible. It's payload options don't really stand out to me, even compared to planes in comparable roles to it that are at or around its BR. I don't think it would become OP if it's BR was lowered since there's a metric ton of 8.3 and 8.7 missile carriers that 8.0s already face anyway.
AIM-7C is the worst missile in the game, probably. This thing fares a bit better with the 4 9Bs...
Not sure if you have but you def need to play the mirage 2k5f or the 4k both are spooky good
I tried getting some footage for a video with the m4k because of the magic 2 buffs but I was straight up having an awful time. Need some top tier reps because I SUCK at it at the moment.
@@_Joob the secret is bleed your speed and lurk low. It can be shockingly stealthy they both need to played like ambush fighters because as soon as you can get behind someone is basically a guaranteed kill. Also never bring the drop the tanks 30-32 minutes of fuel is plenty

The sad thing about is that it isn't 9.0, which it should be. It is not a 9.3 airframe, and almost every match i've ever been on it, full uptier to 10.3, facing F-5Cs and such. If it was 9.0, it would be a perfectly balanced plane
