Some things about LP and music videos:
-There is ALWAYS swagger. LP naturally exudes it. Cool AF.
-LP often populates her videos with friends and fellow musicians, including her then girlfriend/fiancé Lauren Ruth Ward ( seen here at the end and also in Other People and Tightrope). The guitarist here is Brian Stanley ,LP’s touring bass player, longest band mate and very good friend. He’s also in the Live version.
-There’s no play drinking. LP favors tequila and ( in this case) mezcal.

* Other People: also stars Laura Hanson and LRW. Also about the same Ex
* Tightrope: LRW
* Into The Wild: Kind of where the push off began for LP. This song was featured in a Citibank commercial in late 2011 and released in 2012.
* One Last Time : Starring Jamie King and shot at the Paramour Estate in LA. It also features band mate Alex Feder, producer and co-writer Mike Del Rio as well
as LP’s longtime assistant Talayeh and all of their significant others. Cameos at the end - LP’s manager
* How Low Can You Go : Shot at Hotel El Ganzo in Cabo where it was also written and recorded.

My wife and i love LP. She did a show in Austin. Unfortunately, the tickets were too expensive.
Thanks again Joe. I think i still prefer the live version of this song but the cinematography in this is so good. It adds to the sense of lost love and reminiscing. I like your breakdown of how things are shot. Im starting to see videos again from a different point of view.
Really enjoy your reaction to LP. I’ve had those same reactions as I discovered her and continue to be a fan. Seen her three times and will go again and again. Some her more dance tracks I like are Shaken and Can’t let you leave. Definitely check out her older songs Fighting with Myself and Forever for Now. Oh and Recovery. Honestly. You can’t go wrong with any of her songs. They all have something different. Either salsa type beat, a ballad her with her ukulele showing her range. Keep ‘em coming. Fan of LP and your channel
EDIT: The song is “set” (the over dubbing of the wolf howls) as a camping trip and the video is an urban setting. The lyric: “let’s take a drink of heaven”= “let’s just shut up and look at the sky otherwise it might be ‘over’ tonight.”
This one is tame compared to the official music video for their “When We’re High” or “Golden”, which are downright steamy.

A great in-depth analysis of the video Joe E, but I preferred the live version for the vocals and also sharing it with the other Joe E fam members was extra special . Still had to like and comment on this to show you support.
