There are some people on here that are making UA-cam videos that are absolutely useless. But your video clear to the point and no useless jibber-jabber thanks for the info bro

In S60 1k resistors do the trick pretty well and don't need to be quite powerful. 0.25W are just fine since they'll only need to dissipate less than 0.144W of heat, but are quite enough to avoid annoying dim light and also to prevent CEM (or UEM) from thinking dome lights are not working or missing.
S80 seems not to store such errors and 10k resistors are also fine (unless I have problems with electronics that prevent it to register these errors and I wrongfully assume it's all fine). In this case heat dissipation should be less than 0.0144W.

James, you used 36mm c5w sv8.5 bulb for all lights in interior? 4x front and 2x backseat? How about legs bulb? I would like to change my lights to philips vision... No leds

I would use some higher quality led’s. I use Sylvania Zevo because they have a heat sink built in, they don’t get hot and they have a lifetime warranty. Not sure if they have that size in blue but I know they have it in white and soft yellow.

I put some resistors on, 1w 100 ohm on mine and the resistors over heated (rear dome) gonna try again with some 2W resistors. Will let you know how I make out.

Thanks for the input! I'll pin your post as soon as you test them. Do you have similar 6-led Festoons? I'm thinking sometimes Festoons may look similar but may have a different components? Anyhow, let us know, thanks

Peppermint I installed the 2W resistors, they seem to be holding up fine. They are slightly bigger and it’s still important to install them such that they don’t make contact with any plastic components nearby as they do get hot and can melt the light housings.

Peppermint here is a link to a short video I put together for the footwell lights. ua-cam.com/video/pFg6LKxZmcE/v-deo.html

Just use 10kOhm resistor parallel to LED bulb. It will take 0.02Watt under 14Volts. It works well in my S60 '08. LED do not glow when turned off.

This bulbs don't fit my 2008 V70, it takes round bulbs with a plastic base as a one unit with the bulb

Buy better quality led and you won't have the light always on.
    I don't have that issue.
