    I like that you threw them on realistic angles. Not just in an open field as hard as you can

      Thanks man! That’s helpful to know it’s useful lol definitely more difficult than open field.

    I ripped on the Nordic Phenom with a sidearm on a dogleg right about 310. (Trying to get a flare skip). Definitely the understable PD. Just held the line and pushed about 380 into the wood line 🤘🏻

      Bro, for real that’s what I figured they would be great for after trying them out! That just sweet straight pushing forehand lol except when that’s not what you want!

    I was only able to play for 30min this morning due to rain 😔 absolutely loved my new thunderbird, not far off from these discs. Thanks for another great upload

    Great comparison, thanks for making this video. I've only thrown the Lone Howl 3 and the C-line (a purple one), and for sure the Lone Howl 3 is straighter of the two. I'll be very interested to see how the LH3 beats up, I love the grip on it and I think seasoned it'll just get better.

      Yeah there are so many that just seem like they’ll be so sweet after being broken in just a bit. I can’t wait to see how they fly then! And thank you!!

    Very nice rundown of the current PD versions. I bag all 3 of them, but when comparing my 3 discs the Lone Howl 3 is the least overstable, it flies so straight. Its also board flat though.

      Mmmm that makes sense. I can see some being that way. I wonder if different colors are that way like the mind bender was. I heard the red mindbenders were the most understable color!

    To close out Phenom-enal ;D Hope to find my pink C-Line in the brush come spring... I am sad to have lost a disc but it is to overstable for me to do anything else than a Firebird-type disc would.

      That is a bummer. I don’t see too many of those pink c lines!!!

    That fd3 weird skip is what my domey esp scorch does. I've never seen a disc do that as it dyes it glides Dead left and skips. My new f2 domey sidewinder flys like that pd but with more glide on back hand. Same lines as my big z vulture. Barely stands up to flat then glide's on a little hyzer 340ft.

    • @deserttrekmedia
      @deserttrekmedia  Рік тому

      Yeah the unpredictable skip despite the flight path besides a big spike hyzer is not something I like to mess with when I know I need it to sit!

    I throw about 400ft both backhand and forehand and i currently bag a metal flake fd3 and an anax. my anax is getting to be pretty beat in and cant really trust it as much as i use to in the wind and it also has a good bit of turn without wind. ive been looking at the pd to replace the anax but would it be to similar to the fd3?

    • @deserttrekmedia
      @deserttrekmedia  Рік тому +2

      From my experience, a brand new c line PD will have a similar flare skip for a few weeks, but when it comes to the actual flight path it has way less fade. When put on anny the PD will actually hold it for a little longer than the FD3 will and then the swing into the fade part of the flight isn’t as aggressive as the fd3. The only time I’ve seen them similar is when I throw a low flat/slight hyzer PD shot and it just catches edge and flares like an FD3. The metal flake PD will be even further from flying like an FD3, but a 2 month beat in c line PD will fly that way also.
      I can really tell the different in flight on the forehand. The fd3 wants to fight out of the straight flight trajectory faster than the pd. The PD pushes further before going into its (softer than the fd3) fade.
      Hope that helps. I bag the PD for my straighter forehand and the fd3 for more beef and wind fighting.
