This is an amazing video! I love how concise you were with explaining details - in terms of lighting a scene like this (I understand it's obviously standard fluorescent with low CRI rating) but how is this almost "moonlight" look achieved? A lot of the scenes where they were shooting outdoors at night (the forest scene where Jonathon saves Nancy in the first season) and similar to the second season when all the kids are in the forest, what lights were used to achieve that look? 4Ks with Haze?
That’s a perfect tutorial. What if I want to put a little bit of depth! Can I make the layer on photoshop with 3D and then use it instead? Any suggestion? What I actually want is the layer to respond to the flashlight! Thank you in advance.
Ghost Waffle??? Does it come with an ice-cream scoop? Very clever - also gives me ideas about substituting family members in pics/clips - pity After Effects doesn't work on real life...
This video is from a while ago so if youre seeing this it would be so helpful if you answered! If he had walked in front of the wall would you have had to mask him out frame by frame or is there a way around it??
Hey man, I was wondering if I were to let's say record a guitar cover of me how would I go about this? The same way, or would I need to take an empty shot and cut me in? I'm new to AE but I wanna use the Upside Down Effect as my "special thing" on my music channel. Thanks for providing this amazing video!
so i follow your steps and when i got the part of the tracking apparently AE didn't capture all point what's even weirder is the fact that it didn't capture any point on the left side so i was struggling. Can you help me cause i really want to this.
Pls explain to me how you got those textures to show up for those walls I'm looking at that very right window but everything it says is just right wall comp1 . Track solid 1 comp 1 and I can't see how I can access my folder with my pictures and stuff. Please someone answer my I'm so desperate I need this for a school project lol. But everything else is very good exemplified but you didn't show how to get your pictures and textures to show up...
everytime I add the veins and go back to my composition layer, the picture always has a really bad quality and I don't know what to do :( It doesn't look like in the video it just looks like I randomly placed the picture there
Very nicely done!
waow
finally, a tutorial that explains it well throughly!
thanks for this tips. I didn't know about target and making solid with tracking data. That will help me a lot.
You rock, dude!
Nice. Thanks for this. We'll be using these tips in our short horror film this year!

Amazing
Great video but how do you get the material options drop down arrow? It doesn't show for me when I click on the dust
Could you do the same tutorial in Davinci Resolve 16 please?
@athul uday actually, Davinci has Fusion built in, so it should be possible to do this
you earn my like my friend
when i tracked the wall (same video same frame) i only got 5 track points. why did i only get 5?
Can you make a destruction pack like concrete falling, and dirt hit?
5:55 after i do that step the vine picture turns blurry and pixelated how do i fix that ?
3:07 I HAD NO IDEA
nice
great

Could you possibly do a final cut pro version of this?
or does anyone know anyone else who has? im finding it difficult to find one
what happens if the actor passes through the walls and is covered by the texture as well? do you have to crop the actor out or soemthing?
Yes - Great Question. Unfortunately - if that happens you'd have to rotoscope the character with masks or the rotobrush. - Todd
You have to roto the actor I would suggest you use mocha to roto it's really accurate and faster than after effects
Amazing Work!! I'm new to AE and really appreciate you sharing. What is up with 15▼? You rock ↑↑↑
shit is dope
What are the recommended specs to create this?
your computer must be capable of running after effects that's it.
Why did the texture photo became so blurry when I placed it into the solid? (6:00) nice tutorial btw :)
cuz u scale smth up with a native resolution of for example 100x100px in a 1920x1080 comp
what if the camera was moving?
That's what he made the camera track for.
4:40 where i can found this picture ?
If you click the link in the description, you'll find a download button for the project file and assets. Enjoy!
RocketStock yes ! Thank you
is he using Ae??
It's literally in the title
sadly, i'm watching this without actually having after effects
There is nothing looks like upside down
Waffle.
Dominic Motekaitis it’s called an Eggo!
