Montana T-Rex 350E Post Driving vs. the Competition

How many posts can the Montana T Rex 350E drive in the amount of time the competition drives one? We didn't know, but wanted to find out.

I run a T3 in a daily basis almost and I can tell, from the sound, you have the rpms turned down and not using down pressure like you should. I would have liked to have seen a fair comparison because if it really is better, I would be interested in purchasing a few. Can you do a true comparison and set both machines at the same rpm and down pressure?

Did the t3 work well for you? Can you drive 2 7/8 inch pipe pretty well with it?

@scthompson9 you are correct. The T3 is not operating at it's full capacity. Down force is not applied. The other brand has additonal weight of all the posts. The other brand is a larger unit than the T3. The T3 was a price point machine. To see a head to head test, stay tuned for our new model to compete head to head with this one! Coming soon!

@@jbarjj2715Old thread here, but to answer your question the T3 is nowhere near the 350E in driving power. I owned a T3 and it was not suitable for driving 2 3/8 or 2 7/8 pipe in hard clay. I live in west Texas and it gets dry here. Maybe in wetter areas the T3 would be ok. It did work good for T posts, which I think it was designed for. I sold mine after I purchased a new 350E. To compare the T3 to the 350E is really like comparing a 1/2 ton to a 1 ton pickup.

Not really a fair test. You have a lit of weight on that right loader and rpms way up.

Not a fair comparison! You have an extra 150lbs on the T Rex and you have the competition throttled down with minimal down pressure! Biased comparison. GO to
" I dig Texas" for a better post pounder!
