- In today's video, we wanted to do a refresh review at a restaurant in The Villages, Florida called Lighthouse Point Bar and Grille. This restaurant in Lake Sumter Landing is right on the water and it has a menu full of seafood. We didn’t do a very good job of showing it last time we filmed, so we wanted to film it again and show you what Lighthouse Point Bar and Grille is like in The Villages. Honestly, it was great. We have no complaints. The food came out fast, the staff was friendly, and there was plenty to eat. You can either sit inside or outside. Outside gives you views of the water at Lake Sumter Landing. This restaurant in The Villages, Florida is a fun and good spot to hang out with friends and enjoy a good meal. Glad you did the Lighthouse point the last time I ate there was in 2010 it was the last restaurant my wife ate at The Villages before she passed away. It’s been hard for me to eat there. I went to Lake Sumter yesterday I walked the boardwalk trying to decide we’re to eat. I kept looking at the Lighthouse restaurant thinking I should push myself to eat there again, I got 50ft away and started to get anxiety and decided it’s not time yet so I ate at the Firehouse. Someday I might be able to ear there.
I understand, lost my wife of 30 years to Cancer...something are harder than others. I'll be a Villager by April 2024.

I lost my wife 5 days before are 40th wedding anniversary to breast cancer, on her death bed she said I have to move to The Villages because I love golf and riding the golf cart everywhere I haven’t used my car for 5 months. it took me awhile in June of 2022 I made the move here, it hard at times for me here I know it’s the right place to be for me.

I love their Captains fingers with the cornflake breading (have to ask for it special, it's optional). Dip them in their pineapple tartar sauce. Very crunchy and good! My favorite!

We may try it again due to this video. We were there a year ago and my husband ordered clam strips that he said were definitely frozen and not fresh. We have not been back since.

When I was recently at CTT, I spoke with the owner about wanting them to purchase and take over Lighthouse Point. I just love CTT, and I think they do a much better job at authentic New England seafood. We wanted to love LP, but CTT just does it better. But LP does have the ambiance, that's for sure!

CTT is still about the top for us! We haven’t found any place that has better chowder than CTT!
We were very disappointed with it when we went (view was the best thing). Now the owners are focusing on this having shed Augustine 1812 in Spanish Springs (which we liked) we may try again.
Interesting! Didn’t realize they owned both. We thought it was good so maybe they are putting in the effort to really make this one good. If you try it again, let us know!
