    I followed your instructions, I used brand new cheap 18650 cell (with matching case) and it works. I will try to remember to return and update if it also charges the battery completely and how long this 1000mA capacity holds my trance music on. I appreciate this well done video !!! Thank you for this contribution!

    Thank you.
    I did it with JBL GO 1 and I put smartphone baterry 2500mah. Fit good in the back of the speaker, then I used silicone and decorate with nails painting colours to customise it.
    For now it's working fine.

    1. JBL website lets you customise this speaker - happy I can keep it after it's eventually discontinued! 2. I'm usually frustrated with videos but this one was very clear to me. Thank you making this video.

    Uses a battery of smartphone of 3000 mah and you have 2-3 days de autonomy and it is ergomomice on the back. isolated wich silicone hole and cables.and you can put it in the water .Tested from Romania😉

    @mygiguser good work so far, but wouldn't it be easier to simply connect the battery to an usb cable and power the speaker with this? regardless of the internal battery being damaged or not charging any more - should work as well i think.

      Better but you will need a charge controller

    why not just use a 20000 mAh Power Bank?

    thanks for the look inside, I wanted to check wether it is possible to use a bigger battery than the one that is included, like 60mm 40mm 6,5mm; do you think it is possible if one removes the middle supports? I wouldn't want to drill the casing in any way though.

    • @mygiguser
      @mygiguser  Рік тому

      No, there is no space in there. You could 3D print a larger casing, but that would be a lot of work.

      @noncesens3179 Рік тому

      @@mygiguser Yeah afer having a closer look that was my impression too, because it can't be too thick and the indentation for the chassis shows it can't be larger.

    I just came across a small pile of faulty JBL Clips. Would I just need to short a couple of pins to bypass the battery and use a power supply? Anyone else has done this?

    • @thegeekclash8179
      @thegeekclash8179 4 роки тому +3

      @@0SinfulAngeL0 may not ,
      Usb provide 5V ,where as battery provide 3.7V .
      So operating directly from USB is not safe

      it's a really good idea if your power bank has 3.7V batteries and they're connected in parallel.

      Sinceramente preferiría como dice el 1er comentario poner una batería de teléfono y en su caso agregaría una power Bank para mantenerla de fábrica
