Is it better to record PowerPoint presentations from within PowerPoint? Or by exporting the PPT pages as image files? If I don't use PPT animation, what do I gain using PowerPoint? Some kind person please advise.

My preference is to record the presentation full screen. That way, I can make edits to it in Camtasia. If you don't want to make any edits, then you could record and produce directly within PowerPoint and bypass Camtasia altogether. But because I like to make edits to things, I record into Camtasia. Personally, I rarely import slides because of my video creation workflow.
