- I'll share how to add live video to Keynote presentations so you can appear in your slideshow. This September 2021 update to Keynote 11.2 has a lot of potential to create stand-out presentations without using streaming software.

This is the best video ever. Thank you so much. It was exactly what I needed and more helpful than I expected. Very professional.
Thank you so so much this is amazing. God Bless
You are so welcome!
Beautifully explained…Great….
thank you. Very, helpful and exciting!
Cat great video.
Ps loved you in the Robert Palmer video.
Hi! This is super helpful. I tried the Call to Action setup but for some reason it doesn't work the same way. Just wanted to clarify if the shape that moves in that acts as a semi-circle mask over the camera - is this just a black circle? Mine turns out to just cover the live camera. Appreciate the help!
Very Nice vídeo !! Thank you.
Can we record ⏺ video like this and upload it on UA-cam videos embedded in slides as a video
Amaaazing. 😉
Rather than insert a new live video on every slide, copy the one you have setup, and paste it on the next slide.
No echo
Can we record our entire presentation with this live camera insert
what a brilliant video, so nicely done, kudos 🇨🇦🇦🇺✌🏻
I absolutely love how you deliver - natural, fumbles and all. I just recently bought a Macbook Pro 16 after having been a Windows user forever. I won't go back. Thanks for helping me with my learning curve!
I think you can copy and paste the live video from the first slide and retain the settings throughout all slides (assuming you want the same settings throughout) rather than adding it each time
Yes! Such a time saver.
Thankyou so much sister... Much appreciated... Simple and concise...
Hi Cat, How did you record this video? Was it ECam or Quicktime? I don't use ECam but need to make a video using your technique here. Thanks so much! Great video.
I See my camera, but I have hear nothing , I use my standard camera FaceTime-HD camera Mac.
MP3 files can i hear
Cat, I've watched how you do the custom move-in with the mask (around 12:00) about a dozen times. When I try to create what you did, my image sticks out behind the black shape. Got any tips?
How can I use or connect the iPhone’s camera to show on iPad Keynote live video? Thanks.
Maybe not on topic, but I use keynote with many pre recorded videos and cut them up in pieces. It saved me many times in live demos with poor internet. It is quicktime screen recordings in a keyynote file. Again not with live videofeeds 😉
I’m pretty sure you can copy and paste the live camera view from one slide into another slide. That way if you wish to reuse a camera angle and mask can be easily duplicated.
Thanks a lot, really helpfull and easy to understand
what software do u use to edit your background noise and edit the video?
Wow…. It was a new perspective for effective presentation
If I share my screen on zoom will it still have a live video feed?
Thanks for sharing! Very enlightening!
Thank you for this video, it is very helpful. I didn’t realize Apple had made this change to Keynote either.
I just checked whether the Live Video feature was in the iOS Keynote as well, and it is. So you can create a Keynote Presentation on an iPad and add Live Video to the presentation. The only option for cameras are the built-in cameras, so you can have the front facing camera and rear facing camera in the live presentation.
By adding these features to Keynote, I think Apple is making FaceTime SharePlay an even better alternative to Zoom.
I for one think that the changes to Keynote are really great and using it with Facetime SharePlay might be a better option than Zoom at times. The Live Video feature also means I no longer am creating these animations, lowerthirds, titles, etc in Keynote and then adding them to OBS or CamTwist for a Zoom streaming meeting.
Hello that live video its posible record
Very nice, thank you..
LOVE your suff
thanks for you
Thank you, this was wonderful and beautifully done. Your instruction was perfect, instructive and easy to follow, outstanding. I have been searching for how to do this and you answered all my questions.
Does this negate the need for eCamm?
I still use Ecamm all the time! I think this is a nice option for those getting started with 'setting up scenes' without needing or learning extra software.
Thank you! Very Helpful... I didn't know Keynote has a live video feature ...
Very well narrated... thanks a lot
Great video - Is it possible to use your iPhone as the source camera? I attach my iPhone, Keynote recognizes it, BUT it's more to demonstrate what's on the screen of my phone. Granted I can open the camera app on the phone and point it at myself but it's not really using the camera as the source. This is particularly an issue when recording my slideshow. Suggestions?
Thank You So Much for this video. Great Content.
Salam dari Indonesia.
Estoy aprendiendo mucho con tus videos, no hablo ingles pero sigo los pasos y me salen igual que a ti!!, gracias!!, explicas muy bien los pasos a seguir!😘
I love your style. Very practical and creative. And you're adorable!
Watched the replay, yepp, it's your show, the Take 2 was cool. Well done and a great new set of options in Keynote. Will definitely experiment... Thanks Cat!
you just saved me from recording a video which would have taken 25-50% longer to edit without this. its 4 hours. thank you so much!
Es la primera vez que realmente hacen algo relevante para las presentaciones, quiza porquer se necesitaba mejores equipos informaticos, espero ... no creo que sea porque hay mucha competencia en el mercado, pero en general ... esto esta genial!👌😃👏👏👏
Hey Cat, thanks for this video. I’m a bit of an old hand at Keynote but not really tried the live video feed until now. However when you were placing your camera feed into each slide I was shouting at the screen COPY AND PASTE … so I tried it afterwards and it’s great! Copy the live feed and paste it into the next slide - it pastes the same camera in the same dimensions in exactly the same position … great! Thanks again … loving your videos, very informative.
The second half of this video is exactly what I was looking for. Your video was the first one I watched on this topic. Well done!
I get a black screen when I click live presentation and I'm on Monterey
This looks so cool! I'm excited to try it. I have found that, on my Zoom account at least, checking the "Optimize for video clip" option reduces the resolution to the point where smaller text is unreadable. To me, readable text is usually more important than smooth video, but ymmv.
Good morning, looking forward to learning more about this new Keynote feature, thanks for doing the stream.
This is amazing, thank you so much for sharing precious content as usual!!
Thank you for this tutorial. fantastic !
This video was so helpful! Thanks!
Excellent presentation
Thank you
Hi Cat, Excellent presentation. Can I ask you help? I am due to give a motivational speach to students in India. I will be using zoom video. My question is how to have some subtitles appear at the bottom and then disappear on the live video of my speach while I am talking. Thank you.
You can add the Live Transcript feature to Zoom so those who want closed captions can read them. You can see how to set them up here: ua-cam.com/video/gheqJZ52l-Q/v-deo.html
@@CatMulvihill Thank you so much Cat. Thats what I was exactly looking for. You are an excellent teacher and a creator.
Hi, Cat, Your presentation is awesome. I love it.
